Body found in Massachusetts pond
A body was found in a Massachusetts pond early Friday, police said.
Officers responded to a call around 7:19 a.m. about the body found in Horn Pond at 73 Arlington Rd. in Woburn, according to the town’s police department.
A dispatcher for the department told MassLive around 10 a.m. that first responders were still at the pond investigating.
“A body was pulled from the pond, but it’s still under investigation,” said Capt. John Murphy, a detective with the Woburn Police Department.
No foul play is suspected at this time, police said.
Woburn’s Horn Pond recreation area is available for “transitory use” only during the coronavirus pandemic, according to the city. Allowed activities include walking, biking, hiking, running and solitary fishing.
Swimming is not allowed at the pond, according to police.
