Police said the body of 18-year-old Kylee Monteiro, who was reported missing nearly two weeks ago, has been found on the property of her boyfriend. Bristol County District Attorney Tom Quinn announced Tuesday evening that human remains “consistent with those of 18-year-old Kylee Monteiro” were discovered at 107 County Street, the home of her boyfriend, 22-year-old Gregory Groom.
Monteiro was reported missing on Aug. 7 by Groom. Investigators said the two had been in a relationship, and she was last seen at his County Street residence. Authorities also confirmed that Monteiro was about 11 weeks pregnant.

Kylee has been found per the DA Pressor Above!!!! :(

He will arraigned and charged with murder in the morning.
This one hits hard.

I think the murderer was overwhelmed by the responsibility he created, and Kylee paid for his selfishness.

I am feeling for her sister who has lost yet another family member. May she be surrounded with support.

Rest in peace, Kylee and little one.

I’m so angry at our sick society. RIP Kylee. I do t understand how we don’t have a ‘femicide’ classification in the US…

A haunting text was revealed in court Wednesday as Gregory Groom was charged with murder in the death of his pregnant 18-year-old girlfriend Kylee Monteiro in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. Prosecutors said just before she was killed, Monteiro texted her sister saying, "If I die, it was Greg."

*****
He pleaded not guilty to murder and several other charges at his arraignment in Taunton District Court Wednesday.

*****
After the argument, Mohan said Monteiro sent a text message to her sister. He read it in court Wednesday.

"He threw me on the ground and pulled my hair and strangled me. My phone is at 4% and if I die, it was Greg," Mohan said.

*****
Mohan said Groom admitted he had an argument with Monteiro, pushed her, and that she fell back and hit her head. Police then asked Groom to tell them where Monteiro's body was buried. Mohan said Groom drew a "rudimentary map" of the County Street property where Groom lives.

Mohan said Groom eventually told investigators he killed Monteiro after the argument on August 6 behind a shed on the property. He stabbed Monteiro twice in the neck and once in the chest with a kitchen knife, causing the blade to break, the prosecutor said. Groom then allegedly told police that he buried her about 20 yards away.

Whoa.

That poor sister. I'm a stranger on the internet but I do wish her well.

As for the perp, he just happened to have a kitchen knife on him while behind the shed arguing?

No, not buying that.

But thankful he at least provided info on where to find her.

Just tragic. He murdered Kylee and the baby. I hope he is charged with double homicide.

This one just breaks my heart, and not just because I have a daughter. She had so much taken from her by life and by fate, both of her parents (deceased) her structured family. She had talent, a beautiful spirit and a wide-open future. Even though the pregnancy was unexpected I have no doubt she would have loved that baby with everything in her. Then this loser, who would probably still be making minimum wage, stacking potatoes when he's 40, took it all away from her.

She probably thought she could create a little comforting family.

Dammit. She was so full of promise, ready to head off to start training for a good career, and it was all taken away by MOO this loser. I can't imagine what her sister is going through right now. Absolutely heartbroken.

Moo..why did she go back there? She seemed to know violence was probably?...

She hoped. He could of manipulated her that it would be fine to come by and pick up her things. Sounds like it all blew up once she was there, or, he had a plan because he did have that knife. IMO

His grandparents lived there but sounds like they were not around to have heard them, nor Kylee if she tried to get away when he first assaulted her and she texted. Wish she called 911 instead as it sounds like no one did after she texted her sister that message. That should of been done immediately. The sister said that she asked her if she wanted her to pick her up and K declined. The text we see now was not the published one saying that she did not feel safe and something had changed, which is what the sister we thought responded to. The place is isolated otherwise. Horrific. IMO

I wonder if Kylee's txt regarding if she dies, it was Greg was received by anyone, no because it said she had 4 percent on her cell left, so prob. not. I so wish LE was immediately sent there when it was received by anyone. It sounds as though she had that moment after his assault to do that, then sounds as though he returned, he didn't have to purposely kill her, he had a choice to get a car to come for her and bring her away, but he didn't like the being preg. information. The news write up sounds like she told him that visit, but it is really not known if she waited till then and to say they should as she wanted, live together there as he said in his confession which he wanted no part of. Surmising based on his confession. Self respect and worth as a woman of any age needs to be drilled into all from day one, not some male attention and red flags that he is bad news in so many levels. We know it age old sorry situation though of telling and telling someone in such a situation if they are determined and in denial. She so seemed like such a shining light and loving young lady despite an erratic 'home base' in her life. Rage on that useless murderer. IMO

Unfortunately there are more girls in need than shelters available, and it's a blessing for a girl in need to get a spot in one.
It is sad and bizarre to me, that there is not only a need but even a queue for a "homeless shelter for pregnant women".

Kylees story played out like so many others. Unplanned pregnancies with a new bf are a huge risk to not only the girls educational and economic prospects, but also their health and life. Frankly, same goes for grown-ups, not just teen moms.

John DePetro ran a live on YouTube ("Breaking News on Missing Kylee") where he linked in some "reporters" at the scene as an army of police, K9s, and the excavator was at the boyfriend's property. A tent is visible. He reports that he has a source who says the boyfriend has confessed.
I ,so, so wanted a different life for her.
I still am mad about the shelter driving her to her murder scene. That is really on them.

Soul, in the hearing today, they said she arrived at his house via a ride share.

In Iowa, where I live, if a fetus of any age dies in the commission of a crime, the perp can be charged with and convicted of "nonconsensual termination of a human pregnancy", even if the mother survives.

It sounds like those girls never knew anything but tragedy.
