Jury selection continues for Chism trial

DANVERS — The process of jury selection in the Philip Chism trial resumed Monday with a new pool of nearly 130 potential jurors, some of whom may join the eight Essex County residents already “locked in” as jurors for the trial.

Salem Superior Court Judge David Lowy appears to still hold out some hope the trial could get underway as early as this Friday, telling those eight jurors they will be notified to return either Friday or next Monday for opening statements.
