I have been having trouble reading portions of the Affidavit. Hopefully that will get released in a more legible format soon. Does anyone know what PC was wearing in class? And what he was wearing when he followed her into the bathroom? I was wondering if he changed before going in.

He referred to his teacher as "the girl." That is meaningful and disturbing to me. He didn't he the blood on the knife came from Ms. Ritzer or my teacher, he calls her the girl. Her mentioning Tennessee made me think that perhaps and ex-gf had a new boyfriend or something like that and he became incensed because of it. HOWEVER, he showed up to school with his murder gear. He planned on doing this. Was she his intended victim or would it be another "girl?"

bbm - I also thought he might have been rejected by a girl, or thought he had been, and felt humiliated and enraged. Something like that must have happened and his arrogant little ego couldn't handle it.

Which part? I can read it and post it here. I haven't had any problems reading it off https://twitter.com/johnzaremba/media

I am having a similar reaction to the smart phone / twitter method of dispensing court documents. Its reminiscent of spies using tiny cameras to photograph documents for their respective governments. Or, the counter spies to sell to the enemy.

On page 3 of 9 near the bottom and continued on page 4 of 9 of the document it talks about how Philip was seen on the cameras moving around the school and what he was wearing. Page 4 of 9 is fuzzy and blurry and out of focus and hard to read.

I think the part the describes what the video was showing.

I take it you're talking about page 4 of 9 so I transcribed that page here:

"1509 - PC runs down the first floor hallway.
1510 - PC climbs the D wing steps to the second floor.
1510 - PC enters classroom A209.
1511 - PC exits classroom A209 with a red hooded sweatshirt over his head. He is seen carryign a gray/yellow backpack, black bag and a purple bag.
1511 - PC is observed exiting downstairs wearing a red hooded sweatshirt over his head. He is seen carrying a gray/yellow backpack, black bag and a purple bag.
1514 - PC is observed wearing a red sweatshirt and was observed pulling a recycle barrel towards the elevator.
1516 - PC is observed wearing a red sweatshirt, exiting the elevator and pulling the recycle barrel into the aforementioned second floor bathroom.
1522 - PC is observed exiting the aforementioned women's bathroom wearing a white t-shirt and black face mask, pulling the recycle barrel to the elevator.
1523 - PC is observed exiting A wing pulling the recycle barrel wearing a white t-shirt, jeans, and a black mask on his forehead.
1525 - PC is observed puling a recycle barrel from behind a dumpster toward the field house.
1532 - PC is observed pulling a recycle barrel away from the field house, passing dumpsters, continuing toward the student parking lot.
1600 - PC is observed entering the A wing doors, wearing a white t-shirt, jeans and barefooted.
1601 - PC is observed wearing jeans on the third floor heading towards his locker.
1604 - PC is observed wearing a black shirt, with glasses, carrying jeans, with a Nike backpack on his back.
1605 - PC is observed entering the aforementioned second floor bathroom, adn then leaves the building through the first floor A wing doors.

Danvers Police Officer Stephanie Wenner?berg subsequently observed red/brown stains consistent with blood in the area of the second floor bathroom. Danvers Police Detective Robert Sullivan also reviewed the video surveillance footage and reported that he observed what appeared to blood on PC's pants after he left the aforementioned second floor women's room."

Thanks Bourne. I guess it doesnt clear up my question about what he was wearing in class, nor what the police found in the bathroom itself.

Pretty dumb of him to think that changing his clothes a few times will make it impossible for LE to identify him. If it wasn't such a sad case I would giggle.

To enlarge documents, if using Windows (if Mac look it up yourself, IDK), simply hit the ctrl key and the + key simultaneously a few times. If not large enough, put on your Dollar Tree magnifying glasses as most people with prescription glasses do anyway, and lean in really close. When ready to return to normal visuals, hit the ctrl key and the - key simultaneously.

Arguably for whomever may be his defense attorney, there is a past. I think it goes beyond a girlfriend, and into parental observation, via the early news blurbs, and today's Tennessee leak.

Mitigation is clear here. Death penalty is not on the table, but mitigation still applicable and at 14 it was pretty deep, dark, and messed him up. Some family skeletons about to fall out. Hope the family is okay with how they tried to deal.

It was a barkless tree branch that was found inside of her. Did he skin the branch before using it and was it used in the bathroom? sick 🤬🤬🤬

Could have been older branch laying on the ground, or Birch that sheds bark naturally.

Erin Burnett was just saying on CNN that they have Breaking News! on a possible motive - that he must have stewed for a while on her bringing up Tennessee in the conversation reported by the witness that was in the classroom.

Except that conversation happened immediately before the killing and he already had brought the knife, changes of clothes, and mask to school that day well before this.

I believe (not 100% but pretty sure) that she even says that this conversation happened the day before and he must have gone home and planned the crime.

Really horrible reporting.

Yes, planned in advance with precision, IMO, right down to writing the note and leaving it next to her body...you wonder if he wrote the note before? Why else would he just happen to have a pen and pencil available? ...or perhaps this is what he was so-called doodling in his notebook during the math class..

"I hate all of you" - and how he left her staged is a big giant message that just says something to the entire school, town, community, humanity...

i am finding the detailed discussion and speculation about the sexual assault hard to stomach, but it does appear as if he put some thought into arranging the spot where the body was discovered.

i can understand how some would want him put to death, it is a reasonable opinion. but to me i would much rather see him jailed and hopefully become able to openly discuss why this happened and possibly something could be learned from it by psychologists/criminologists).

as i understand it so far he has been pretty open about admitting to certain facts of the crime and his involvement but has not been willing to discuss anything related to why?

It is strange that he positioned her body yet covered her in leaves. Why would he cover her up after doing what he did?

I don't know, but he changed outfits and mask/glasses and whatnot a few times, yet openly used her credit card and took her phone and left a hand written note. He "ran" from the school but was passive when he was caught with the murder weapon and her underwear. It's like he felt compelled to make a tiny effort at hiding and evasion, but actually knew he'd be caught and didn't care that much.

As far as sentencing - I don't really understand the mitigation aspect. In my mind it's about keeping him away from society and under strict supervision so he can't kill anyone else. As far as how long he's locked up, I don't really care WHY he did it (I care intellectually, but not related to his punishment) but that he can't possibly be trusted to walk in the world safely, therefore he must be forever isolated from vulnerable people and supervised by those who know what he's capable of. This may veer somewhat from the letter of the law, lol.

Frankly IMO it doesn't matter what he has to say............He is a psychopath, luckily he was sloppy and stupid so he only got the chance to have one victim instead of becoming the serial IMO he was aiming to be.He planned this out and I really do not think he had any idea the school is loaded with camera's.He brought a mask to school and gloves which IMO means this was 100% planned. I have followed true crime since my own cousin was brutally murdered in 1977. I have read of the ones who stage their victim in sexual positions and use things like tree branches. These types are beyond disturbed and no way is this just because of alleged abuse, for a cheated on spouse at the time those papers were filed when he was 2.Sounds more like a court ploy to punish.Only where extreme abuse might be a factor but I sincerely doubt it.Many teens move and leave behind friends and they do not get to this level of depravity. As far as keeping these sub humans alive trying to figure out what made him do this, how could anyone believe anything he says at this point.Bundy lied and would have kept telling lies to keep himself alive. The murderer of Chelsea King and Amber Dubois mother worked at Scripps Mercy Hospital in behavioral health in a position of authority on a psychiatric unit where other sex offenders or psychiatric patients are placed based on her position … She knew he was a danger and never reported him. I find it very interesting that this murders mother is a social worker.Aren't they trained to see what lay people do not?
