The very first post on this page, the first link I posted in response up thread, has her sister stating it in quotes. May I equally request, if anyone has information contradicting that both, the family and the friend who went to get her, or the LE has ever given any indication it could be anyone else, other than what the RSO and his family have stated, I would welcome it.

I think LE knows what it is doing in terms of evidence and building a good case, doesn't worry me. I would rather speculate on where he may have taken Jaimie Mendez than if her family is to be believed.

But her sister didn't actually name him:

"She was worried, she was freaked out, she was with this guy and he was acting weird and she wanted to get out of there," said Alyssa Mendez, Jaimee Mendez's sister.

This is where it's unclear for me. Her sister never actually named WHO Jaimee was with, she just said "this guy".

I'm not at all disbelieving of her family, either. I don't question that he was the last person THEY saw Jaimee with. For my own clarity though, I don't know for a fact Jaimee named the same guy as who she was in fear of.

I'm not sure we DO know that. We do know that she called and said she was with *someone* and felt uncomfortable but did she actually say who it was she was with? Since he claims to have picked her up AT her house, it's entirely possible that this is how the family knew she was with him, at least initially. Not to mention, he also claims he's picked her up there at her house at least a couple times before, so I suspect the family knew at least his first name and the vehicle he drives. Just guessing on that.

This is where it gets shifty for me. Has anyone actually said "she called and said she was with **named him by name** and felt scared" ?? If there's a link somewhere in msm or on the Find Jaimee FB page maybe someone can point that out? Maybe I just missed it somehow.

This is my point exactly. There are a lot of assumptions floating around, and I can only imagine how hard this must be on the family, but we can't take everything they say as stone cold fact. Their emotions are running high right now, and they are looking for someone to point the finger at. Jason may have simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or maybe he IS to blame. But we can't know for sure based on what evidence we have.

Right, Jaimee's sister may have just been quoting the friend. Think about it for a moment:

The friend gets a call at an unknown time. Jaimee tells the friend "I am with this guy at his house and he's making me feel uncomfortable. Can you pick me up at..." and gives a specific location and time, which had not been released yet as far as I can tell.
The friend goes to the location at the time she said, but she never shows. Later when asked, the friend tells the family exactly what happened. "This guy" could truly be anyone.

Thank you FindHG for your posts and follow up links!

As for JF's involvement in the disappearance of Jaimee seems highly likely based on what we know. I think what has me so befuddled is that the information we have is coming mostly from the family in an indirect way.

What holds me back from jumping on this bandwagon is how LE is handling it. I'm not sure I've ever seen a DA become involved so early in the game. Maybe that's the way they handle things there IDK? The fact that no one agency is calling JF a suspect or POI just doesn't make sense. Since it's all out there in MSM that he has been interviewed multiple times, vehicles have been impounded by LE and JF's own admission he was with Jaimee should be enough I would think.

I would love to know if it was verified that the carpet Mom found with other belongings of Jaimee's is actually from his van. If it was I would image LE would be scouring that rug for DNA. I also have read in a couple of MSM articles that the shoes found were thought to be Jaimee's. I'll go back and look for that.

IMO there is just something off on this investigation based on others here that I have read. I wish I could put my finger on it but I'm just not there yet. I'm sure LE is working like crazy behind the scenes and hopefully something will come out soon.

So for now I pray for Jaimee, her darling son and family to be able to bring her home.

MOO

ETA: Two links that state the shoes may be hers.

IF you recall, it took a while before they were his name was mentioned publicly due to privacy concerns, once the police were questioned "this" very "guy" then his name came out. But who the guy was was never in doubt, just whether he could legally be named. But I'm done wondering who they meant, others are free to, of course. As far as I see, he has been the only one LE and the family have focused on from day one, based on what she told the friend who showed up, and then the family and the amazing amount of information they were able to gather, about the scratches, the van, the evidence they found. I haven't seen one piece of credible information to make me think it is anyone other than this guy. Again, please please provide it if you see anything. The point here is to find Jaimee Mendez, not parsing words.

Here is my own timeline of event I put together. I don't have everything in front of me (I'm on my phone in Kohls) so please let me know if I get something wrong. I'll add in more details later:

5:30-6 PM Thursday: According to Jason F, he picked Jaimee up to perform a drug deal. They drove to Rite Aide where she asked to use his phone to call the dealer since her phone was dying. After the deal was done, he left her at Rite Aide and went home to get high. This was around 6:30. This is the last time he claims he saw her.

6:30-6:40 Thursday: This is the last time Jaimee's dad says he saw her.

10 PM Thursday: JF meets up with his girlfriend.

Unknown time, Thursday: Two of Jaimee's friends get calls from her. According to her sister, one of the friends says Jaimee told him that she was "with this guy" at his house and he was making her feel uncomfortable, and to pick her up at a specific time and location. The friend went to pick her up and she never showed.

Friday: Steven Mendez says he reported his daughter missing, although some reports claim this wasn't until Saturday.

Friday (?): Jaimee's family confronts Jason about Jaimee's whereabouts. Jason claims he has not seen her. The father says he sees the inside of his van, and it is set up like a bedroom.

Saturday: Jaimee's dad says he saw the inside of Jason's van again the next day and the carpet(?)/bedding was gone.

Sunday: a search is performed in Salem off Technology drive. LE discover her phone, charger, jacket and ID.

Monday: Jaimee's mom decides to go to Jason's house. On the way there she stops off at CVS to look in the dumpster, and she finds shoes, men's clothing, and a piece of rug that resembles the carpet that was in Jason's van. Jaimee's cousin later identified the shoes as being the sneakers she bought Jaimee 10 days earlier.

Monday or Tuesday: Stephanie Vazcy has been located in a local hospital. She claims she has no knowledge of how she got there or whether she had been with Jaimee. This may or may not be relevant.

Please feel free to add in things I left out, or correct something I may have gotten wrong. I think if we keep an ongoing timeline of events, it will help.

Especially money for smokes.

Right? Strange thing to be thinking about but again just MO.

I also do not understand why we are believing the admitted herion user/convicted So about any drug buy.

Not at all...I don't believe ANY of them actually...I think they all know more than they say...

A good investigation looks at all angles. Could it be him? Sure. We can't go on just the fact that because he's a RSO, he's automatically guilty. Again, could he be? Yes, 100%.

I saw the post where Alyssa thanked a personal friend for helping search her and buying her lunch and smokes. That was early in the week. I do not think it had to do with donations.

I don't necessarily either...just seemed strange that someone gave them money & smokes to "hold them over" & then the dad mentions on the fund page that money will not be wasted etc. Idk, again, MOO.

We know Jaimee Mendez was with the RSO. We know she felt fear caused by him.

We don't know if it was him or someone else after...

Exactly. We can't just automatically assume it was the RSO (again, it could be). I think he's scum but until we know more facts we have to be open to other people being involved.

In MA, in cases like this, the DA is involved from the beginning. Not unusual at all.

Clearly, they don't have enough evidence to charge anyone or suggest a POI as of yet or they would have...I still think there is more to this story.

I think, but have no way to know, that the hair samples of Jaimee Mendez LE collected from the family may have given them enough to institute the search warrant for the vans and his residence, maybe? As for the LE not making a move, an explanation might be that they are making the search the priority and LE has eyes on him, while they look for her. Even if they had enough evidence for search warrants for his vans that would only prove that she was in his car, but not that he brought her to any harm. That kind of evidence takes a minute, with phone records, forensic testing and such. That being said, it was brilliant that he was out there flapping his mouth. I kept wondering how much time he may have had to hide Jaimie Mendez; how long could it have taken him; and there he was, the numb skull telling the world "4 hours." So having him out and not named worked out, in a way. He would have lawyered up and shut up if they went at him harder, I imagine.

I think the 4 hours comes from the period of time he was alone and didn't have an alibi. He left Jaimee and met up with his GF or ex 4 hours later. So I believe that's why he's saying he would have had 4 hours to hide her body.

Offender believed to be involved with missing Swampscott mom speaks out

"The Mendez family has hired a private search team to continue scouring the Lynn - Salem border for the missing mother."

FYI Jaimee's sister posted on her FB 11/13 directly to Fox news (paraphrasing) that the family has not hired a private search team and simply reached out for professional help. Regarding search IMO.

Jaimee's sister says she called a female friend @ 6:40PM, an hour later calls the male friend to pick her up (7:40PM).

For my own knowledge I went back and found links, as this is a pretty good timeline. Thank you Elizabella.

You rock! I just got home and was just about to do this since she said she was on her mobile and couldn't. I didn't want this great timeline to get deleted. Thanks so much!

I 100% agree. Now if a man was missing I may think drug deal gone wrong. But with this young mother missing; Iam thinking it was the Level3 sex ofender with 8 restraining orders that she was last seen with. Maybe he felt she cheated him or maybe he wanted her doped up so he could rape her while she was nodding off; But her about to leave before he got what he wanted made him snap. Idk

Yes, I had not seen that info before either, link please?

Has anyone been able to find the 1997 case in Virginia? Or, even his more recent cases in MA? If so, link pretty please?
