Found Deceased MA - Jason Thomas, 45, Wakefield, 12 December 2025 *body found March 2026 - awaiting confirmation*

We are trying to locate Jason Thomas, who was reported missing this morning. He was last seen last night at approximately midnight in the area of Murray Street and Chestnut Street.
Thomas is a 45 year old white male, approximately 5'06, and 180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a white & grey/black puffer-style jacket, black pants, black sneakers with white laces, a black winter hat and gloves.

His wife hasn't put up any posts regarding his being missing that I could find but she's likely overwhelmed. A few friends posting but no new info or reporting sightings. His parents both died on the same day, which is odd. The obituaries are not worded as if they'd been involved in an accident.

‘He literally vanished’: Wakefield woman asks public for help in search for husband

A Wakefield man has been missing for about three weeks, and now his family is turning to the public for help.

Friends are canvassing the neighborhood, checking any one with cameras that may have picked up an image. They had live tracking dogs who apparently caught his scent the morning after he disappeared approximately a mile up local train tracks but that’s been the only trace we’ve been able to find.

Jason is still missing. He had left his wallet and phone on the bathroom counter and his apple watch in the mailbox before he walked away.

For Kristen Bartoli, there’s a singular moment: locking eyes with her husband, Jason Thomas, for just a second before he turned away and walked down the street on the night of December 12, 2025.

Jason, who is an only child, had been by his mother’s side when she passed away in hospice care. Just an hour later, as he and his father were preparing details for the funeral, Jason’s father collapsed in his arms and died of a heart attack. According to Kristen, it was traumatic. “He had never lost somebody so close before. And then to lose both of them,” she said.

There’s one more uncharted search zone — the waters of Lake Quannapowitt. Jason would sometimes take the dogs around the lake for a walk since it’s not far from their home.

Come spring, the Wakefield Police Department has plans to search with a dive team and sonar equipment. “We just have to wait for the lake to unfreeze before we can do that,” Skory said. “And that’s just to rule out the possibility that he’s in there.”

Massachusetts man Jason Thomas vanished from Wakefield three months ago. Have you seen him?
