It really feels like the prosecution and the LE agency are not interested in actually investigating anyone else! Strange and extremely disheartening to see two agencies whose job it is to protect and serve the community act in this manner.

Yes, yes, yes!!

The biggest problem is TWO of those very important phones were purposely destroyed by people who know better!
Can they not get the records from the carrier even with the phones destroyed?

They could ask anyway, but LE just pain doesn't care what the records are for anyone but Karen. It is insane that they absolutely refuse to investigate the people that were at that house that night!

They can see messages were sent, but can't see what the messages said.

They are like a dog with a bone-- she is their target and they won't stop until they either convict her or she walks

They can get the records - and in fact the defense did - which is how they know about all those strange alleged butt dials and answers. The phone company doesn't store the contents of your texts, however, which is almost certainly why Higgins and Brian Albert destroyed theirs, knowing they needed to hand them in the next day.

Same judge Cannone is going to return to the bench for KR's trial. January. Read this afternoon. Just cannot imagine. No words.

New updates come to our local news online that might not be national. Well, I am sure it is not.

Can you post a link?

I don't think a link can be posted because it was just a rumor in the first place. Howie Carr, who is a right-wing talk show host and Boston Herald columnist, posted over the weekend that he heard Cannone was out. Today he posted a correction on X. She's not going anywhere.

Don't know where I read that part about her going elsewhere, but she is awfully presiding over KR's Jan. trial. Oh so wished that was true about going elsewhere! Def not a follower of HC or Herald, me!

The info about Cannone returning for the Jan. trial is confirmed per court, 'breaking news' locally online, but I am unable to copy paste the website name. WCVB online is the source.

Unfortunate IMO if the same judge was to preside over the KR case or any aspects of it.

More importantly ….. after watching the Dateline episode on the KR case this past Friday have to ask - what is the status of the FBI / internal affairs investigation into IIRC proctor and other aspects of MSP, investigators, and their conduct?

It was announced IIRC near conclusion of the declared mistrial that the report was soon to be finalized - and any new learnings and investigation updates as a result of new findings in the KR trial would be assessed for update and impact on that report.

Why has nothing been reported on that? And doesn’t that report need to be finalized, issued, and released?

Is anyone in MA pushing for that? Are there any investigative journalists looking into that? SMH. MOO

No one can push the FBI! Pahhh. I would imagine journalists on that are waiting to be the first to jump on anything, but has to be 'wicked true' to publish. Oh the dayyy I see that big news....WE are little nothings to the big LAW info, just rubberneckers as far as they are concerned.

The FBI doesn't talk unless and until they're ready to make arrests. So there is no guarantee anything will be coming from them.

As for the state, we have limited information so far. We know that Proctor's direct supervisor, Yuri Buhkenik, was "punished" for failing to reprimand the reprehensible Michael Proctor by losing a total of 5 vacation days. Unreal.

The other state cop involved with the Read case who faced internal investigation was Brian Tully. We've learned recently that he has been removed from his position. And according to the article below, the internal investigation is ongoing.

Detective Lieutenant Brian Tully will no longer serve as unit commander of the State Police detective unit assigned with the Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey’s office, State Police said in a statement.

State Police transferred Tully to a temporary position in the Division of Investigative Services and will continue to assist the DA on his previous cases. The internal affairs investigation into Tully is ongoing, State Police said.

They are not going to let her walk. They will play whatever dirty tricks they can to frame her.

Yes for the retrial. However it goes to the appellant court, a panel of three judges will rule - or could send it back to the lower court .

The only case I've ever followed with zero ring camera footage-- from a block of LE residents. Nothing to see here....

The actions of the individuals involved speaks volumes as to their guilt or attempt to hide something or protect someone as opposed to the actions of KR. Gives a new meaning to Justice is Blind.
