Has the Stay Order been published?

Generally, when a civil case is "stayed," a defendant cannot take depositions from witnesses unless the court specifically allows it in the stay order. Also, most jurisdictions consider discovery to be largely suspended during a stay, meaning no depositions can be taken without explicit permission from the judge. JMO
I found the stay order but its not on an approved ws source I don't believe.
But see local reporter Ted Daniel's tweet below. He will probably have the order published soon. It kinda seems they can go ahead and depose/discover docs from everybody else related to the case but Karen . JMO

As for the other aspects of the civil case, Judge White ruled:“It is unnecessary to completely stay this wrongful death suit ot avoid impairing Read's Fifth Amendment privilege. Rather, the interests of the parties, the court, and the public will best be served by staying only thatdiscovery directed to Read, pending resolution of the second criminal prosecution”#boston25

BREAKING: Both prosecutors and defense attorneys have jointly requested a delay in Karen Read’s second trial. They are asking the court to delay it until April 1, 2025 to give them adequate time to prepare.

Plus - in the motion to the court, prosecutors say the Commonwealth has retained new experts, including a bio mechanical engineer, who did not testify at the first trial.

The motion says “the parties jointly believe that the additional time is necessary… [to] provide for a more efficient, streamlined, and shorter presentation to the jury.”

Still waiting on the appeal of the unanimous decision that was not certified in trial #1-- in part due to the Court's inept juror instructions, I don't think we ever saw this going to trial in January. JMO

Predicting Drs. Rentschler (sp?) and Wolf will be back for the defense bigger and better than trial x1, possibly with updated results from a new FBI mandate. Jmo, defense's experts will nail whoever CW can drag out directly to the wall.

I wonder if the Pros will rethink trying her for a second time, or do they need to save face

I'm very interested to see what happens there.. Some of the discovery filed yesterday seems to indicate a change in the the commonwealth's theory of the key cycle data. Will they just abandon Trooper Paul and his entire testimony from the first trial?

Everyone would think they would consider not trying her for a second time, but they are adamant that they are pressing forward. It to me is such a waste of taxpayer dollars! Plus, when are they actually going to put forth the effort to get true justice for OJO?

Seeing many tweets in the last hour by the famous blogger about changes re. key cycle data -- waiting for MSM to compile and report. Also, is there any truth to no commonwealth prosecutor wanting to retry the case and why Morrissey appointed Special Asst DA for retrial?

Also, oral arguments for Appeal are scheduled for 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the John Adams Courthouse in Boston.

Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey announced last month that he has appointed Special Assistant District Attorney Hank Brennan to lead Read's retrial.

11/4/24-- Karen Read's murder trial takes another turn. What the latest filings mean

I actually think this theory about the key cycle data is very compelling and certainly helps "fit" the pieces of the Commonwealth's (ever changing) theory much better. I don't know all the intricacies of the law here but one would think if the CW wants to use this new theory, they'll have to use the key cycle data report obviously and how can you do that without putting Trooper Paul back on the stand? I just don't see a way this data is allowed as evidence in the new trial without directly bringing up that the person who extracted the data, did the testing, etc. was SO incompetent that he couldn't even decipher which key cycle was his own testing.

As a sidenote I haven't seen discussed very much, why is there no triggering event key cycle when KR hit JO's car at 5am that morning?

Same. It was refreshing to hear from the one person on Earth who did not believe gravity exists.

The Justices are asking very pointed questions and from my point of view, this is not looking good for KR. I know Weinberg is supposed to be some sort of appeals expert so hoping he pulls something out of his hat soon.
