So MP has a potty mouth. So do a lot of people. KR did too. moo
The concerns around MP go WAY WAY beyond “potty mouth”. Give me a break.

Yes, I tend to think anyone who hopes that the person they are investigating will kill themselves is not impartial…

I just started following this case so don't know many of the details of evidence that came out in the first trial but Kerry Roberts' testimony yesterday seemed pretty damning to me. She said Read called her at 5am saying John is dead (not that she was afraid he may be dead), she was afraid he was hit by a snow plow (seems like a bizarre fear unless she knew he was hit) and then spotted his body in the front yard when no one else could see it when they they drove up. Roberts also said she saw pieces missing from Read's tail light. Is there reason not to believe Roberts? Wasn't she Read's friend?

No matter what Alessi does, she tells him to do the opposite. The hearings preceding the trial have been eye opening in that regard. Alessi seems to prefer to set out what he is going to discuss and she says "Don't tell me what you are going to discuss, just discuss it". Then, if he goes on too long, she cuts him off or tells him to hurry up. Then, if he doesn't go on too long, she has something to say about that too. He just can't win!!

The poor guy is doomed in front of this Judge and she has made it painfully obvious to those of who do not buy into the CW theory.

I thought Alessi was very poor.

First up, he'd just told the Court that morning they had deleted the messages. This was his chance to explain what they had done. Nothing to do with Brennan. It was the Judge he needed to justify it to. Instead of addressing her in a professional way, he went off in a highly aggressive manner and ultimately blamed the judge for not specifying texts.

No surprise she ultimately cut him off and told him she didn't believe his frankly non-sensical explanation.

This is an obvious rule 14 violation, and one can only speculate why they did it, and what they were talking to ARCCA about fully 2 years ago.

Quite.

Except she gave multiple interviews to police without mentioning Karen saying ‘he’s dead’, until months later when she magically remembered.

You are referencing one matter, as I stated in my post, this was a general overview of behavior during the pre-trial hearings.

As to the texts being deleted, you have presumably read some of the attorney responses to that and it is the norm (everywhere but Canton, ostensibly) to retain emails not texts.

I must say, for someone who claims to be watching this trial to make up their mind on defendant's guilt or innocence, you sure seem to have your mind made up already!

it's interesting..sometimes friends have blind faith and can disassociate when something traumatic or wrong occurs...like you catch the ball and start running only to become aware you caught a grenade moments later.. ADDED..but you never truly can block something shocking like this from your mind.

I could see maybe wanting to un hear Karen saying that John was dead and not bringing it forward
for reasons I couldn't explain..emotional reasons or disbelief.

I still believe something happened with that dog...but maybe it was post mortem. mOO

That’s totally fair, and I agree that people respond to trauma in unpredictable ways. But to highlight what you said in your second paragraph, that Kerry maybe omitted what she heard Karen say - even if she omitted something to protect Karen, IMO that still makes her an unreliable witness.

From my reading, it seems a fairly clear rule 14 violation per the Judge, Which lawyers were saying this?

I start the trial believing the fight theory is a lot of nonsense with no evidence to support it. I am quite surprised AJ is running with it this time at bat.

Whether the State can prove vehicle involved is a critical question given that factual determination appears to have hung by 3 or 4 votes last time.

Proving murder 2 is a heavy lift IMO, due to the Proctor vulnerability and possibly weakness of the Lexus data (depending on what they have).

Oh Saint hank has arrived in court this morning. He's just being so fair and just by turning over evidence at 10:45pm last night. And cannone making a voir dire and demanding ARCCA to appear on a moments notice is also ridiculous. She and hank are conspiring to do everything and anything to exclude them. Keeping text messages is not standard practice between lawyers and if that is such a big problem, then the Defense should be demanding all text messages from the CW to their experts and investigators. in the same fashion. But we know that won't happen.
I find it amazing that ALL OF A SUDDEN deleting text messages matters to the CW and Judge. LOL

Key witness in Karen Read trial speaks out

Kerry Roberts, a key witness for the prosecution and John O’Keefe’s lifelong friend, tells “GMA” that she believes “people have forgotten John, in general. He is the victim. He’s lost his life.”

Defense is no longer hinting at there's a big police conspiracy.

Lol. It didnt work the first time - part of their retooling.

KerR and JMc were heroes trying to save Officer John O’Keefe. Unfortunately, thanks to KR that wasn’t possible because she left him to die in the snow. moo

First Responders are also heroes.

What a tragic event caused by an enraged drunk driver. moo

Is Jackson reading X as he carried EL’s luggage up the stairs of the Courthouse this morning? Previous days she was left to handle luggage all by herself. Such a gentleman he is. Lol and moo

It's soooooooo unfair to the CW!!c Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Turns around and it's no big deal when he does the same things!

And no one realizes the hypocrisy of this about the CW? Please, explain to me why it perfect fine when other people do the same things.

Oh and Kerry had conversations with Michael Morrissey????1st time we're hearing about this. 2 witness's in and they've both changed their stories! They were all diposed multiple times and NOW they are remembering things more clearly. Nothing to see here right?
