what ever happened I think was 79% an accident.

if she hit him it was because she was drunk driving and in a bad place. she says she was blaring music, so he gets out of the car and walks around..she blasts the music and hits reverse in the snow in a big exaggerated way because she's mad..she peels out of there and what just happened is not registering ...going back to check on him would be an admission. This is cold and selfish and that's why it would be a crime. Her blood alcohol was above legal limit...she stayed up all night and her blood was taken hours afterwards and she was still drunk. I don't think he was beaten up and tossed outside..I don't think he was out there wandering around like a zombie and dropped dead.

Many of the people in this story should be arrested and charged with DUI. This whole case is about
drunk driving...and a drunken toxic relationship made for a bad night.

I think Karen is guilty. I'm trying to see her points though. mOO

Maybe I’ve missed it - but does anyone consider maybe she accidentally backed into him, drove over him a bit and doesn’t remember at all? Total black out? Idk I go back and forth but what I do know is she doesn’t seem very compassionate about it. As far as looks …to me looks diminish when personality shines through and I feel like she thinks she’s “so cute” which to me makes the most gorgeous people look uglier.

I keep seeing posters hypothesize that KR "drove over him" or "backed over him" and just want to ask if they think it is possible that she "drove over him" or "backed over him" in a 6000 lb SUV yet he has NO BROKEN BONES??? I say impossible.

Similarly, when Brian Higgins drove by JO’s house and KR was outside with the weedwacker, he got her attention (yelled or honked) and she (not knowing who it was), responded with ‘f@ck off, my husband’s a Boston cop.’

Honestly, I think she hit him unintentionally. She had a lot to drink and may not have even realized it.

Just to be clear, the CW alleges that JOK was struck so hard by the Lexus that he flew through the air and was deposited 8 feet away from the road. Note that his path was (supposedly) diagonal so the actual distance of flight by his body is alleged to be something ridiculous like 16 feet.

Yet the injuries to John's body do not support being struck by a vehicle at all.
Being struck by a vehicle at 24MPH would cause injuries to a human body such as broken legs, broken pelvis, broken ribs, organ damage and terrible bruising.

Miraculously JOKs only injuries were a dog-bitten arm and a blunt force trauma to the head.

The CW are going to show you at least a months worth of trivial and meaningless witnesses before getting anywhere near the important medical evidence (what were JOK's injuries? how did JOK die?).
The reason for this is that they know full well that the medical evidence does not support their allegations of a vehicle/pedestrian incident.
Instead, they're focusing on making the defendant appear as guilty and conniving as possible, and hoping that you'll be so bored by the time the actual evidence arrives that you'll simply disregard it altogether.

The Judge has clearly favored the Prosecutors. There may be grounds for a complaint to the bar society. Although I am no expert.

Yep, and adding there was no evidence from the Lexus as far as we know to indicate he was run over. The CW isn't alleging he was run over and I believe that theory is off the table for trial. Jmo.

A few things cause me to pause here.
Dog evidence on JO. Was it even properly looked for? If it was and no hairs, saliva was found, I have to let dog bites go.
Second..that scene the next morning finding JO seemed in MOO was something that may have woken those in the house. Not saying they weren’t passed out and sleeping opposite the street facing the back but I still get hung up on that.
My somewhat wishy washy theory has KR unintentionally hitting him.

The Police and co-workers, ambulance and friends were outside on the lawn in the morning. The homeowner did not come out.

It's funny how we all come away with different judgements of witnesses.

My impression of Kerry Roberts was that she was a completely credible witness, a very caring and kind lady, and she misspoke at the GJ, because by that time she had heard that Karen asked Jen to make a search, without any intention of misleading anyone. It didn't negate her testimony, IMO. I can't believe the derogatory comments made here about her, or Peggy.

As a juror I wouldn't think much of the way K Roberts was treated by the defense. Trying to make out she was a dishonest witness didn't work, IMO.

This all may be accurate and was unintentional on her part, however it’s the prosecutors job at GJ to ensure the jury at the proceeding understands the context of said testimony. This, again, comes down to prosecutorial deception and overreach.

I am not pretty shaming her..pretty shaming is wrong. but being pretty is to her advantage. there is power in beauty and she has an appearance of being small and harmless and it can give her an advantrage , just look at all the people who are defending her. mOO

The same could be said for JOK though. JOK was a handsome, tall, muscular man with a nice smile that some might say was very attractive. Should we think about him as only being supported due to his good looks? Of course not! He doesn't have an advantage due to his looks. His death is being prosecuted (defended) because he died at the hands of someone else.

IMO KR is being supported because she has been charged with crimes that do not make logical sense to many people, and the charges need to be proven to be believed. Imagine all the people who've felt wronged by police actions in the past, whether in MA or elsewhere, prosecuted for something they felt they were not responsible, or overcharged, or a case built that was considered unfair. Imagine if the same police who arrested you or investigated your case are somehow "participants" or connected to your "crime" but face zero consequences.

I believe that is why she's garnered so much attention in this case. People can absolutely relate to her situation.

I’ve loosely followed this case, mainly the headlines. I haven’t read much on this forum.

I am interested in following the trial this time around. So have a few questions if you’re willing to answer.

I saw a picture somewhere of his arm. The wounds do look like dog bites. Why wouldn’t that be clearly called out in the autopsy report? The only other injuries were severe head trauma correct? Was that from a beating? How exactly is it thought this went down? What was the provocation? He didn’t really know these people right?

There is also something called “Exigent circumstances” that in emergency situations permit law enforcement to conduct a warrantless search. Going back to finding a body on my front yard and after LE banging on my door I refused entry it's possibe this exception to the fourth amendment would have been used to enter my house.JMOO

Was the homeowners insurance up to date? was it lapsed? one possible reason for banding together and staging everything to protect their careers and the home which would be subject to lawsuits. MAJOR lawsuits..children are involved, he's LE..loss of wages..irresponsible behavior and drunk driving by many there...

The EMT 2 days ago revisited his terminology of them being “furrows,” and when asked to explain what furrows meant he said it meant bodily tissue had been removed. That indicates a deeper injury more than abrasions.

Hard to say when some partygoers kept themselves hidden, aka Brian Albert the homeowner didn’t come out of the house nor did law enforcement (other than his friends) question him in the ensuing days. He was seen in the weeks after with bruised left hand knuckles and his left arm in a sling, then went out on disability to have surgery on said arm shortly thereafter. He never returned to the force. Coincidence? Possibly, but it’ll never be known because it was never investigated.

One interesting thing about these same witnesses is that they've all been groomed by the CW every step of the way by getting them to review their video testimonies, written documentation, recorded telephone calls, and so on, yet they still get pertinent details wrong. They become defiant and think they can fool the jury. This defense is impeccable in their detail orientation, and they're not letting these arrogant and misunderstood witnesses get away with any nonsense.

I guess the newest way to get out of perjury, or ANY lies on the stand is "I misunderstood the question". Kerry used it and so did BA.

And I am pretty well convinced that JenMc had something to do with what happened to JOK. She really wanted him to come over, and when he did not come into the house, why didnt she continue texting him to ask him why he did not come in? I dont think Karen was liked by any of John's "friends". And maybe JenMc liked JohnOK a little too much??
