Someone with something (several things) to hide?Maybe it's just me and I would say that I'm well mannered, I would never ask the FBI to leave and come back. Who does that?
IMO.

If JM was being honest, she would have sat down with the FBI and shared everything she knew about the accident. The fact that she starts out by lying and then cuts the interview short tells me she colluded. This alone should be reasonable doubt.Right, like AJ is basically impeaching her testimony with her prior grand jury and/or T1 testimony and the judge is just allowing her to say “this is how I remember it now” or “I don’t remember” it’s wild!!
Plus KR wasn't from "town", which probably rankled a lot of the Canton ladies. If he was ever married, it was not mentioned in or outside of court. I think he wasn’t. He definitely gave ‘confirmed bachelor’ vibes. And yes, I think he was in high demand! He was handsome, kind, and a hard worker. KR seemed his logical match in every way. Another hardworking and kind person. I wonder if others felt jealous that KR was the one to get him to ‘settle down’. MOO.
I hate it when someone says..."to be completely honest...."
She did say she took them to school, so she may not have brushed her teeth because after all, she's just a normal mom and all, however, that is not the reason she asked them to return in 10 minutes because it's the "kind of made some phone calls" that she really wanted to do.
Right around 3:09, she asks AJ to show her where she called KerR, only to stall so she could think about her answer, and then ... at 3:19, she told the FBI there was nobody else she had called other than KerR and MMc, and then ...
And that was a lie, correct?
JMc: No, it wasn't a lie.
AJ: Was it true?
AJ: Was it the truth or a lie?
JMc: It wasn't a lie.
AJ: Okay, so it was the truth...now you're testifying that is a true statement.
JMc: I can't answer that yes or no.
AJ: You did talk to others ... yes or no.
JMc: Yes I did.
...
AJ: So when you said no ... that would be by definition Ms McCabe, a lie, correct?
JMc: No.
AJ: It's not a lie?Is there a shade of lie I'm not aware of?
...
JMc: If I could explain...it will make more sense to you.
At 3:21:35
JMc: At that moment I said no, yes.
Then at 3:21:48, the judge allows her to finish her answer, and JenMc turns to the jury to say:
JMc: I had said no because... I had just dropped my kids off at school. To be completely honest, I hadn't brushed my teeth...so I kind of made some phone calls.
Yeah I don’t find asking them to come back weird at all tbh. I can see her wanting to fix herself up or tidy the home. It’s mostly misidentifying herself, then making 5 calls while they were waiting for her, then lying by omission to federal agents about 3 of those calls, that weirds me out. MOO.Me.
I did.
Exactly! Lies lies lies...Yeah I don’t find asking them to come back weird at all tbh. I can see her wanting to fix herself up or tidy the home. It’s extra suspicious that two of the ones she neglects to mention are Brian Albert and the DAs office. It’s not believable she just forgot in the few minutes between the calls and the interview.Yeah I don’t find asking them to come back weird at all tbh. I think her saying she didn't know where the dog slept at her sister's house showed that she would and could lie about everything. That is such a simple thing and I don't believe she doesn't know where the dog sleeps at her sister's house and if she would lie about this what else would she lie about. I think this simple lie hurt all her testimony and if I was a juror I would have been thinking she is a liar? This is all IMO.There was no such testimony at the last trial.
BA and Nicole said the dog was in a closet when fire, police, ambulance and Jen McCabe were running all over the yard and home (in Jen's case). So Chloe didn't bark and they all kept sleeping peacefully until Jen burst into their bedroom.
Not that I believe any of this. Strains credulity to the breaking point, IMO.
I'm glad you stood up for yourself. Truly.Me.
I did.
Lol!
This is VERY insightful!Starting at 24:55 A couple big swallows when Alan reminds her that the FBI informed her it's a crime to lie to them, even in an interview. A whole bunch of licking her chops. Then watch her blink rate for the rest of that segment around 30:25 when she's defending why she called not only Kerry Roberts, but four others, in those 10 minutes. Then at 36:28, she begins waffling her explanation - speaking really, really fast. "I'm going to be completely honest, I hadn't brushed my teeth." Big laugh. So in those 10 minutes, she called 5 different people and had conversations and brushed her teeth. And we know this because she's going to be "completely honest".
Her words are very well put together when she's prepared and rehearsed. She likely reads over her notes and timelines she's collected 100X before testimony. But for her to think on the fly, she rambles and stutters and lies.
The thing we know about "close-knit", co-dependent families like theirs, is that nobody can think for themselves. Everything must be run by someone else because they have no self-identity or confidence in their own ability, their own thoughts, their own decisions. It's evidence of a highly dysfunctional family system they have IMO.
I bet she was on the phone with 10 people after the FBI visit too. There's no way these people have independent memories from that night any more.
MOO
Yes, like the Gambino Family!Starting at 24:55 A couple big swallows when Alan reminds her that the FBI informed her it's a crime to lie to them, even in an interview. No it wasn't that. I just wanted to straighten up the kitchen and the living room and hop in the shower. I was embarrassed that my home was a bit messy. They came back in an hour we discussed what we needed to discuss and they went on their way.I'm glad you stood up for yourself. Truly.![]()
I have no source other than the video of him at Waterfall, where he’s holding a drink in his right hand. To me that suggests that he’s right handed, but I could be wrong. I’m one of those weirdos who writes with my left, but is right-hand dominant with everything else. But I think it’s at least safe to say he was right hand dominant. MOO.Does anyone know if John O’Keefe was left or right handed ? If so can you provide me with the source of where you heard or saw it ? Thank you![]()
Interesting ,I suppose your looking over his injuries?Does anyone know if John O’Keefe was left or right handed ? If so can you provide me with the source of where you heard or saw it ? Thank you![]()
Me too.. I can hit baseball with both though. I hold drinks with my right ,I smoke with my left. I think the only way to know would be if someone who knew him in r/l or his handwriting ,but I dont even write with the left handed sign of the slant.I have no source other than the video of him at Waterfall, where he’s holding a drink in his right hand. Jen McCabe had been told that lying to the agents was a felony. That she then proceeded to omit the information is a much more significant situation.Re the omissions about everyone JM called, I have seen that sometimes people do this because they think that revealing it will incorrectly make them looks suspicious. They worry too much about out how others will perceive. Then they make it worse by omitting the information. I honestly can see her calling around trying to figure out what was going on with the FBI before she talked to them. (And she said she called her victim advocate at the DAs office -- not the DA's office in general). I don't know why she omitted the info -- just telling you my experience in the legal field. JMO.
Oh, maybe the bruise on his hand that to me looks like he threw a punch?Interesting ,I suppose your looking over his injuries?
Just curious as to why your asking.
