I'm trying to understand what was contradictory with what Karen said in those video clips Brennan showed. She thought he might have went to an ex lover's home since he had dated several in that neighborhood. His body stood out like a buffalo on the prairie, meaning a huge mound that didn't match the landscape.

We need a timeline of every bit of minutiae from trial one, compared to trial 2. All of the new data, all of the lies and truth. We also need a list of all the people involved and their relationship to each other. And a map of all their houses.

I wonder if they just wanted to make her look bad by saying he looked like a buffalo.

Karen Read corroborates Kerry Roberts' testimony.

Kerry Roberts: And then I unlocked the car and I looked over and I didn’t see anything and I unlocked it so she could get out of the backseat I looked at Jen and I said ‘she’s crazy’ and then I turned around and watched and she ran over to a mound of snow.

HB: When she started running, before she got anywhere, did you see anything at that point?

KR: I did not.

HB: Were you looking?

KR: I was looking. She said ‘there he is’ so I’m looking around to see where he is.

HB: And you could see nothing?

KR: I did not.

HB: Did you see her run around or directly?

KR: She ran right over to the mound of snow.

HB: When you looked down could you see who it was at first?

KR: At first no. I had to dig him out.

HB: When is it that you realized that this was your friend John?

KR: When I cleared the snow off his face.

Karen Read: "John looked like a buffalo on the prairie, it was just a lawn and a heap that wasn’t a bush or a hydrant or a dog, it was, it was a weird shaped lump at that time in those elements."

During the video clips Brennan showed (there were 3 or 4), it was Karen Read who said when she saw his body from the backseat in Kerry's car, it looked like a buffalo on the prairie. To me, this illustrated that she saw a big mound that didn't match the rest of the landscape. It stood out for her and was out of place.

I agree, but some people might think describing a dead loved one as a buffalo would be insulting, just like the way she impersonated Peggy O’Keefe. I think the defence will play clips in larger form to show context.

But there's nothing contradictory about her statement? She saw a 6 foot mound of snow that looked out of place in the yard ... Kerry didn't see it at first because her focus was looking ahead on driving. Kerry saw the mound of snow once she focused in on it. I'm sure John was not entirely covered by snow either. I am picturing a long mound with dimpled areas of other colors from his clothes that were not fully covered, such as his feet sticking up.

Oh I see what you're saying. To me, Karen uses a lot of imagery in her words to paint a clear picture. To some, it might seem derogatory I suppose.
Even when Karen mirrored what she said Peggy said, and the way she said it, she painted a clear picture in her facial expressions and tone of voice. And after seeing the way Peggy presented on the stand, I could visualize Peggy saying something like that in that same way.

Yes. Not much snow had fallen yet and it was very windy. You can see the conditions in one of the first officer's dash cams as he heads to the scene. The parked cars he passes are not snow covered.

No, nothing contradictory. Sorry if you had the impression I was posting in response to your post, I hadn't seen your post when I was compiling mine.

JEN LIED TO TROOPER TULLY ABOUT MEETING PROCTOR. She told trooper Tully that she had NEVER met Elizabeth or Michael Proctor before September 2023. It explicitly says this in his report of his interview with her. But we know she met with Proctor just the day after John died.

She denies this and says she doesn’t want to see Tullys report stating she has never met Proctor. So again, Tully was just a horrible investigator? AJ has led her to a rock and a hard place. Are you lying, or was the investigation bungled and we can’t trust anything the investigators claim you - or others - said?
Why weren't statements done at police department? Why weren't they taped? Why weren't they SIGNED??

Excellent questions @ShadyLady ….. and IMO should be directed in earnest to former investigator proctor and the DA in CW office. And maybe asked on the record and under oath too. MOO

In T1 JM claimed she burst into the Alberts' home like a madman.

T2 she tiptoed in and gently woke them. 🥴 *cough cough* Why did she tiptoe? Because she didn't want them to think something was wrong?

You can't make this stuff up...
She definitely tuned up and changed her testimony. Bursting into a room and the dog still didn’t wake up. Better tone it down so dog doesn’t wake up. Bursting into a bedroom with a sleeping cop who might pull it gun. Better tip toe into room.

Taken together with the totality of the evidence the phone provided, the Cellebrite expert gave an opinion that the device never moved far from the flagpole, which does support the cw theory.

It doesn't make sense to snip and focus on just one aspect of his testimony, and ignore his conclusion, which was based on all the available corroborating data, including but not limited to battery temperature.

There was no temp data between 1:36am and 6:06am. Logic alone tells me the battery would drop more than it did in those 4.5hrs. Whiffin should have stayed in his lane and not delved into battery temp because his testimony helped the defense.

Yes. Tiptoe through the door, up the stairs, open their bedroom door, and then stand there staring at the two of them for 1 or 2 MINUTES highly aware that she is watching her sister and brother in law in bed sound asleep and that she's about to wake them up. THAT was her testimony! And with the invisible dog Chloe sleeping right beside their bed, or maybe in the closet. And she never spoke a word of urgency the entire time? No knocking on their bedroom door before entering? No shouting, Nicole, Brian, Get up, Get up, something happened outside, there's been an accident ...
MOO

I suppose the jury knows by now that this is a retrial? I don't know if the lawyers have mentioned another trial explicitly but certainly they've referred to other proceedings and given dates. I'm wondering what's going through their minds after week 2. We have the benefit of knowing what previous testimony said and can see the discrepancies.

I am wondering how JenMc knew that that "other" agency had completed their investigation after speaking with her.

So does she have insider information at the FBI?????

I believe that they will take every opportunity, no matter how small, to make her look bad. I also believe that this began weeks prior to John's death.
That group flat-out didn't like KR, probably because she wasn't one of them.
Idk if it was jealousy due to her career, making it on her own, or because she was dating John, or a combination of both, but they had it in for her before he died. I think they were p*ssed at John, too, for carrying on with KR for all that time.
Again, it's my opinion, due to that fakey mean-girlish crap from Jen.

Completely agree. Never did they show one ounce of compassion for Karen, from day one.

Fake mean girls! You saw it, too.
