The FBI initiated the study and furnished the parameters defined as a set of facts or a fixed limit that establishes or limits how something can or must happen or be done that they, the FBI wanted to be proven or rejected. Once the results of the FBI initiated study were complete, the results were then offered to both the CW and the defense to use as evidence in their case if they chose to.
Are we done yet? Can we go home now? ;)

AJ is bringing up O’Haras testimony from trial 1 that Tully said he was ‘very satisfied’ that they had found everything they would at the scene.

O’Hara asked Tully for a photograph of the tailight to see ‘what they were looking for’. Wow.

Wait.. wasn't she taken to the hospital from the scene? Her car would have been at John's house at that time, no?
Who would have been first to get to John's house? Friends? Familly?

I did watch much of the first trial but didn't follow along good enough to remember all the times/details.

The link you posted earlier with the collection of the tail light pieces, I listened to it and found it interesting that the scene was left unsecured from 7:50am until about 5pm.
When she was released from hospital, she, her dad and brother went to John's house to retrieve her personal items and her car to then go to her parent's house. Her car was then towed from her parent's house, not sure of the time. The tow truck driver retrieving the car saw no real damage to the tail light at that time.

O’Hara and co did not find tailight pieces by the road. The only pieces they initially found were 6-7 pieces by the shoe.

Trooper Tully told O’Hara that the vehicle was en route and no photos could be provided around 5:50. But the vehicle was already secured at Canton PD at 5:35 PM, before the first piece of tailight was found.

He was not outside on the lawn from that time of his last movements per phone or going into the Albert house. IMO
Last phone data was at abt 12:30. Snow plow driver did not see a body when he passed 34 Fairview at abt 2:30am but at his 3:30am pass he saw a car similar to cars owned by Albert family members parked on the street supposedly obstructing the view where JOks body was later found.

Did she also do that long, drawn out, heavy sigh?
I haven't been watching the past half hour or so lol.
That sigh she always does bugs the heck out of me - it's a "can't be bothered" noise.
IMO.
Yep, as usual... This trial is really burning into her beach & margarita time.

This is important.

I firmly believe the tail light was officially broken in police custody, and before that, it had only been cracked by the bump into John's car as she was leaving to go look for him.

People confused by her frantic attitude have clearly never had a gut feeling something real bad happened to someone you love, paired with a total lack of communication from said loved one.

I knew my best friend died before anyone told me he did. And I felt so sick I went to the emergency room, I thought I was going insane, and I was throwing up nonstop and sobbing hysterically. I reached out to him all morning - we both had iPhones and my messages were green. For the first time since we got iPhones more than a decade prior, my messages were green. I kept telling myself, His phone just died, it's ok, his phone just died, but I didn't believe it. I was fully distraught and hysterical. Turns out I also needed surgery so I did get admitted, but I felt in my soul he was in immense trouble. I'm convinced that when you have deep ties to another human being you communicate almost telepathically - soul to soul, etc.

You know how John investigated sex crimes for the Boston PD? Part of me wonders if he was just beginning to suspect someone like BH or BA of something and was going to start an investigation (TOTALLY hypothetical). This would speak to motive.

Though I also could believe the motive of drunken hyper-aggressive cops who want to fight a man over Karen or the issues with Colin or what-have-you.
Its an interesting thought and has been chatted about a bit here from the beginning. Also there was chat that he had stumbled into some drug activity in Canton...and had brought that up. Who really knows bc once again - nothing investigated.
Bc as you heard -if you are listening to the trial - Tully told the Sert guys that same day, that John had been HIT BY A CAR.
I think our friend, the dear "fired from the state police" Proctor , had also sent the same sentiment that John had been hit by KR's SUV, out on his text chain that very same day with some more descriptive texts.

I think when this trial is over we will see many lawsuit. Guilty or not. John deserved better and actually Karen deserved better. I go back and forth on the verdict.
I agree.

I didn't watch the first trial. I am trying to keep up this time. I of course can read all the comments here that pertain to the 1st trial. I see this hostility (my perception) toward Karen from some here and I don't agree with that. I think she is a victim here too EVEN IF she backed into JOK and that caused his death. She lost someone she loved.

I don't know what exactly happened to JOK, but what is clear to me is there are many people in this story that I find dishonest and this was NOT investigated correctly.

I don't get the idea that KR did anything intentionally, if she did hit him. She was drinking and driving, but JOK chose to get in a car with her as she did so and he was drunk as well. How many others were drinking at the bar that night and drove to the party? How many drank at the party and then drove home? I expect more from LEOs.

It's hard to say why people are deleting texts and calls and why stories are changing or things are remembered later that were never said before, but I think when you mix a lot of alcohol into the equation, what else do you expect? I have a hard stance on alcohol because I was hit by a drunk driver.. there is zero excuse for it. I also think many people that night likely were doing exactly what Karen did. Maybe none of them know exactly what happened to JOK, but pinning it on KR sure will take the weight off of them. People knew he was coming and never looked for him?

Honestly listening to some of the testimony and knowing the actions of some of these people just reminds me of middle school dramatics. Where are the adults here?

Didn't tow truck driver who picked up KRs car from her parents house testify that her tail light was possibly cracked but pretty much intact when he loaded the car on to the flatbed.
That's my recollection. I deleted that out of one of my posts because I don't have time to verify it. I'm getting behind at work trying to keep up with this trial ;)

They both deserved a real honest investigation.
And they did not get that. For whatever reason. Excuses don't matter.
Hence we have a literal boatload of reasonable doubt
with an enormous side of "shady" behavior

You have nailed it IMO

She not remember what she did. 100 pound and 9 drinks.
Nine drinks ordered and paid for by someone. No proof she consumed 9 drinks. Have you ever ordered a drink or two for someone else to be put on your tab?? have you ever left your drink to socialize and forget where it was and ordered another?? Alcohol was being consumed by everyone, some began drinking earlier in the day and some continued to drink at the Alberts house after.
KR didn't.
A witness from Trial1 who was sitting next to her tesitified that KR did not appear drunk, not slurring words, not walking like she was drunk.

I watched the bar video and she seemed to be steady on her feet and carrying on normal behavior at the bar.
ETA: My daughter is one of those people that can drink so much and not appear drunk at all. And she rarely drinks at all. It's crazy. She can literally drink me under the table and her older brothers as well. She just has tolerance even though she is about the same size/weight as KR. Me? You KNOW when I've had a few. But her? Never. JMO
