I think the CW is playing with fire with Proctor. People who have nothing to lose can be dangerous.

YB suggesting that Proctor falsified a search warrant is no small accusation. If Proctor was falsifying warrants that’s a federal crime. If Proctor feels like he was sacrificed to protect others, he might not hold back on cross… I think there’s no way he’s not bitter about losing everything while his boss gets away Scot free. MOO.
I don't think that is what YB was implying, he was more implying that Jackson was making stuff up or they weren't legit documents. Which is ridiculous because of course the CW would have objected or Jackson wouldn't have been allowed to use them.

I wonder if any of the jury has done any physics in high school.

p=m*v
Momentum equals mass time velocity.
The mass of a shard of plastic tail light is very light, therefore it has very low momentum, even at 40 km/h (25m/h).

It occurs to me that if KR's SUV had already had a damaged taillight when she backed out of 1 Meadows and hit John's vehicle around 5:00 a.m., the broken taillight/housing would have left scratches on his vehicle. None were seen as far as I'm aware.

I don't recall if anyone even looked at his car? I thought it was "new" during the trial last year? In the video you can definitely see his car move, so she definitely bumped it that morning.

This is one of the pieces of the puzzle I'm having trouble with. What are the chances that the very tail light that she backed into JOK with at 12:30ish, she also backs into his car hours later both of which could result in a cracked/broken tail light? I think the odds of that happening within hours of each other are slim.

A few winters ago, my husbands work van was parked on the street and was bumped when a car slid into it and misjudged how much room they had, it knocked hubby's van bumper off (plastic) but I had a bag full of front light pieces from the other car that I picked up off the street! Our security footage showed hubbys van tires moving maybe a bit more then JOK's, but not much. Colder weather can also make it easier to crack/break. JMO

There was never a chance. Remember Jen McCabe’s testimony about who was at JO’s house later that morning? The family, a few friends and a “car repairman”

Completely contaminated evidence. How can they even use it?
Every piece of evidence in this case has been contaminated and tampered with, except for John Okeefes body itself. MOO

That was so embarrassing how can you get up on the stand and represent LE and act like that, every CW witness is worse than the last, what a gong show moo

I’m still catching up. What did he do?

I am pretty sure the defence didn’t cross examine John’s niece and nephew last year. They are now a year older, do you think they will cross them this year? I hate that the prosecutors are bringing them back again.

I am very new to this case; heard about it years ago but never watched the first trial. I started watching second trial, but not consistently.

I did catch most of the testimony with the texts between the couple and it seemed clear to me that this couple seemed to be passive aggressive with one another and both displayed that they really weren't into the other. Maybe a relationship of convenience and familiarity, but to me, they both seemed annoyed. Today, watching the clips from the actual bar experience, their interactions together were minimal -- all about seeking conversations with others, but very little touching between the two. Maybe that's not uncommon for them, who knows. Maybe both are harboring resentment that night because the events earlier were never resolved.

Looking at what little has been shown so far, particularly the broken taillight, KR's rage voicemails, and JOK's deceased body on the lawn of a party KR said she didn't initially remember as the last time she saw John...makes her guilt seem somewhat probable.

And I must add, the middle of the night phone call to her parents (I don't know if that's been presented yet this trial, or if I read it recently). She was severely alarmed by something that happened, even if she couldn't remember exactly what. That's not normal behavior imo, drunk or not. Maybe that's why she only slept 2 hours if at all, because adrenaline was pumping despite the liquor because her mind was in protective mode.

But my Lord, watching the defense's cross toward the end of today. They are doing a fantastic job exposing the inept officials in charge.
Here's a link concerning calls to her parents:

Read also called her parents around 1:10 a.m. on Jan. 29, then again at 4:40 a.m. and 4:42 a.m., Guarino said. They answered the third call.

‘I f***ing hate you!’: Prosecution plays voicemails Karen Read left for John O'Keefe the morning he died

And...

Read allegedly Googled ‘DUI attorneys’

Prosecutors sought to introduce a Google search Read allegedly made for “DUI attorneys” at 1:27 p.m. on Jan. 29, 2022 — before her interview with State Police troopers. Assistant District Attorney Laura McLaughlin argued the search undermines Read’s defense that she “was framed, that she had no intent or opportunity to commit these crimes. Further, that she was not intoxicated at the time.”

Defense attorney David Yannetti said Proctor, the lead investigator, had called Read about eight minutes before Read made the search. He argued Read was only looking for an attorney to defend her presumptive innocence.

Judge Beverly Cannone said she would not allow the search into evidence at this time, though she left the door open for its inclusion later on in the trial.

Didn't see Judge Cannone yawning today.

Both Jackson and Alessi so incredibly on the ball yesterday and today. Oh to have brains and ability like that !!

The state is getting their butts kicked by Jackson. It sure is great to see the pathetic cops in this case being shown for what they are.

Presumably like they did Peggy O'Keefe, stand up, pass on your condolences and say no questions. Nothing to gain by cross, except make yourself look bad beating up kids,

And they've got Proctor to go.

DA must have really wanted this, to be willing drag the CW and Canton law enforcement through public ridicule. Even if you believe Karen did it, this is just amateur and malignant policing.

Another story changes today. The defendant changes her story now claiming she saw John O’Keefe go into the house. This contradicts earlier statements made.

Additionally, she really didnt answer the question about whether she deleted the Ring video.

It was a yes or no question. She did not answer with a yes or no.

Just a matter of opinion 🥴

Prosecution using emotional ploy to use on the jury since they are bombing on everything else. Desperate times call for desperate measures tactic.

So let me get this straight here...the CW is not calling the lead investigator ( proctor), his commanding supervisor ( tully ), their own crash re-constructionist, ( paul ), the owner of the house who had a dead body on the front lawn just a couple of yards away from his bedroom ( brian albert), his soon to be ex- wife ( nicole), their adult kids who were having a party in the house that night ( brian jr, and caitlin ), the medical examiner, brian higgins who is a named suspect in JOK's murder and others... but is going to call 2 minors who lost the only father figure they had left in the world and who know absolutely nothing about what happened to their uncle that night on the stand to try to strangle an ounce of sympathy out of a jury who has surely checked out by this point.

How incredibly pathetic, desperate, and morally bankrupt do you have to be to think this is a good strategy and will play to your favor after the pathetic displays all your witnesses have exhibited thus far in this trial? Shame on you hank brennan! Shame on you!!!
