May 8, 2025, Trial Day 12

"We speak for those that can no longer speak for themselves." - Sgt. Yuri Bukhenik
He's not speaking for JOK that I've seen/heard.
Maybe he means he speaks for Proctor.
IMO.

How is waiting for the snow to melt at a known crime scene considered a crime scene without it having been secured?

AJ now trying to get YB to read all of those Higgins texts with KR.

VERY well said!!! How anyone can look at this blockhead and think this in any way, shape or form is acceptable behavior in any profession needs to have their head examined IMO. Why are people making excuses for this fraud? Would you want him investigating a death of loved one? I wouldn't want him within 3 states of a loved one living or dead.
And why does it seem all the LE on this case are afraid of BA and Proctor? One of the first things Gallagher should have done is to get back up. There was someone with higher ranking than him, right in that house. As we have heard AJ say, Brian Albert is a first responder. Gallagher was either too scared to go get him or he truly may just be that stupid. MOO

A German shepherd, for one.
IMO.

Which makes me wonder - have we ever heard when she was supposedly returned to the house? Since they said the daughter took her late at night (totally plausible, right?)

My family has owned german shepherds for a long time and not only would my family members never part with their dog when they can be home with them (very loyal breed in my experience, their humans are very attached to them), the ones we’ve had would go pretty mad after a short while not being in their home space or with their primary humans/owner(s).
So this makes me curious as to how long Chloe was allegedly out of the house.

My apologies. Court TV changed its live stream, and I did not catch it in time. They have done this before, so we are going to use the Law and Crime Network.
Scroll to the top of this thread, and the live stream for the Karen Read trial is right there. No need to go to YouTube

It makes zero sense to me that a bunch of people, drunk or otherwise, beats a man to death in a basement, and then, instead of trying to hide the body or drive it a long way off and dump it in the woods, decide to carry it outside and dump it in the front yard for all to see.
It makes no sense either that the brainiacs in the house were thinking, “ oh, KR dropped him off there, let’s toss him in that spot so people will think she hit him”.
That is all absurd.
KR is probably going to be found not guilty because Massachusetts LE apparently is a joke, but she’s not innocent. Similar to jury nullification, she will walk to send a message to Massachusetts’ LE.
How badly that must make JOK’s family feel. He’s been pretty much forgotten here.

There is this idea that some big fight happened, and the entire house had to be in on it including the kids there for a sleepover. I don't think that at all. Maybe John and one or two people had a fight and one punch is thrown, and it rattles JOK. Maybe there are no punches thrown, but a verbal altercation happens and the dog jumps on him because when people are fighting or even wrestling around dogs can get protective. They tell him to get out and he does. He wanders out front looking for his ride because he thinks she's still going to be out there, and she isn't. He slips in the snow or sits down because his head is hurting, and he dies. I am not saying this is exactly what I think happened, but it is possible there was not much of a disturbance inside so not everyone was aware as it happened, and they might not know JOK was hurt as badly as he was when he left. That sure would be a reason to keep quiet once you realize that he's dead on the front lawn you know because nobody checked on him or thought to help him so fault just might be on the homeowner having the party.

We don't know because no LEO went inside to look or question anyone inside the house, no SW of the house was done, and lots of things were deleted or disposed of after that night.

I feel like we haven’t had any testimony in an hour at this point. Geez. Breaks, side bars..

Long enough to bathe her, for sure. I wonder if the daughter's car (or whoever's car Chloe was in) had blood in it.
IMO

Has the defense ever confirmed that Chloe is alive and resides on a farm in Vermont?

Imo if I was told the bare bones of a case, and then told that key players and investigators made calls, deleted a bunch of calls, didn’t come outside when a body was there with all the commotion, then sold that house, some people disposed of phones, an investigator acted inappropriately re:communications and was then fired, oh yeah and that most if not all physical evidence was not secured or there were chain of custody issues…. Etc.

I would think that alone damages a prosecutions case beyond repair or redemption. Also considering they don’t have a confession, crime on video, etc…

This conversation is so juvenile and odd.

“I am not a hoe”

Do we have to hear these…

  • #176
Omg. All this because YB wouldn’t admit the texts were flirtatious 😂

I love how people are ignoring that experts hired by the FBI said he was not hit by a car.
Brian Albert himself could walk into court right now and say JOK died in the house that night and those people would still say Karen Read is guilty.

Has Colin just been totally forgotten in this trial? I still think there was a fight/punch outside and that is where 'something' happened. Could KR have clipped him with her car first and weakened him, absolutely. Did that kill him? Absolutely not. MOO Someone in that house has blood on their hands.... and is being protected... and yes, i believe the dog was involved also, most likely protecting a 'family' member.

So last time wasn't it the CW who got BH to introduce these texts on the stand? Now it's Karen's defense introducing them with YB on the stand, after having to argue it in a sidebar for nearly an hour?

So Lally thought they would be good for the CW's case, Brennan does not?

These texts are PAIN!! Soooooooo cringe!! My goodness what the jury must think about these. We know the context from the 1st trial but these folks don't. I'd want a parachute by now and would seriously be considering coming down with an illness of some kind!!! " Jane stop this crazy thing!!!!
