Wow.
20 official police reports not recorded for more than 100 days from John’s death.
11 reports that were written more than 300 days after the Johns death.
3 written more than 400 days after John’s death.

Definitely seems like they were really dedicated to finding out what happened to their fallen brother. JMO

I have a feeling the jury will be excused soon. YB must be exhausted being on the witness stand all day! And AJ isn't done with him yet!

Nicole said she was a rescue so I am not sure.
After some research it seems she was a rescue from Texas, so I'll correct my post. Thank you!

He could have been done a long time ago if he would just answer the questions. If he's exhausted, it's his own doing. IMO

Wow. Bukhenik is now testifying that he bagged the taillight pieces but handed them off to someone else, who supposedly labeled the evidence bag. He can’t (or won’t) name who that person was, and he’s not confirming it was Michael Proctor. So… we’re just left to assume a mystery person took over at a critical point in the evidence chain? Hmm…
What? IIRC Bukhenik testified in the first trial that several items of collected evidence (and IIRC that included fragments of the taillight) ….. were not collected by him, but rather by proctor or someone else. And he testified that they were labeled in his own name (YB) but not proctor’s name or anyone else’s identity.

Unfortunately some of the earlier testimony from the first trial is not easy to locate. MOO

Exactly! And I hope as he reflects this weekend with his thoughts, that he realizes the burden he has placed on himself in trying "to speak for those that cannot speak for themselves".

And we’re done. 10 am Monday the jury comes back.

I had no info on the origination of Chloe/Cora to begin with but it looks like they were looking for a type, tho the dog did not pass police dog school.

He is clearly speaking for people that CAN speak for themselves. IMO

I don't recall if anyone even looked at his car? I thought it was "new" during the trial last year? In the video you can definitely see his car move, so she definitely bumped it that morning.

This is one of the pieces of the puzzle I'm having trouble with. What are the chances that the very tail light that she backed into JOK with at 12:30ish, she also backs into his car hours later both of which could result in a cracked/broken tail light? I think the odds of that happening within hours of each other are slim.

A few winters ago, my husbands work van was parked on the street and was bumped when a car slid into it and misjudged how much room they had, it knocked hubby's van bumper off (plastic) but I had a bag full of front light pieces from the other car that I picked up off the street! Our security footage showed hubbys van tires moving maybe a bit more then JOK's, but not much. Colder weather can also make it easier to crack/break. JMO
You have to remember the bumpers of both vehicles stick out much further than they tail lights. I think the bumpers matched up when she bumped him. Then when she pulled away, there were no red pieces of her tail light on the ground in the video as she pulls away, and you can see the red tail light is missing.

Ricky Dantono and Heather Maxon were at 34 Fairview after JOK and Karen arrived and pulled up behind their parked SUV. (With Ryan Nagel, who was driving)

YB says RD and HM pulled up to Fairview at the same time as John and Karen, not after. But he acknowledges they were eyewitnesses to Karen’s car.

AJ: You’re aware that they had a certain perspective of the SUV, correct? They were eyewitnesses to certain things relative to the SUV.

AJ: You instructed Proctor to interview those witnesses in August 2022.

YB says he doesn’t remember, but it’s on paper.

Proctor interviewed RD and HM 9/2/2023. 18 months after John’s death. Insane.

While I do not believe that Karen Read killed JOK, she is such an immature woman. I am appalled at her court decorum. Just incredulous. She'll get off, which is okay since I do believe she is innocent, but guaranteed this woman will cause issues like this the rest of her life.

And that’s all we get. Starting 10am Monday, every day a full day. Cannone and lawyers will be having a discussion.

Poor Yuriy. His testimony so far has reminded me of an underappreciated and overworked employee at a company which is facing a sudden staffing crisis due to a number of employees being fired, quitting, or going on long term sick leave in quick succession and he's seen his workload drastically increase as a result. So now he's having to deal with the aftermath of Proctor's various misdemeanours, read out the Higgins-Read text bork-a-thon in full, make excuses for why the Alberts don't own Chloe any more.

This was so tedious and so indicative of how YB has been behaving with defense all along.

There were three passengers in the car. He basically said since he had already intervewed the driver Ryan Nagel, he had no burning need to interview the other two. So he waited what 15 months?

Just let that sink in.

Three eye witnessess in a car behind Karen's at 34 Fairview during the time John went "missing".

But he was following the evidence lol. He could not be bothered to probably even read the ARCCA report and they are not interviewing witnessess - he and Proctor had solved the crime the day of.

'This guy should be fired for that testimony alone. He is a bad apple in a noble profession. He should have been shown the door with Proctor.
Everyone local knows the state police have had trouble with scandals ( overtime pay etc) - is a guy like this representative of the culture? I hope not.
