I love people more upset over a possible bird flip than the clown on the stand who interviewed witnesses over 100-400 days after he dies. I thought justice for John was so important?

This case, seems to be more about Karen then about John. Which is odd for me to see on WS's lol I have been away for too long I think haha

jurors are given instructions on how to evaluate witness testimony. they aren't required to believe all of it. they aren't required to like the witnesses. they aren't required to believe that all witnesses behaved beyond reproach.

what they are trying to determine is if - beyond a reasonable doubt - whether or not KR hit JO with her SUV.
At what police does police incompetence and malice taint the evidence to the point at which it is deemed simply unreliable.

ISo where does this leave the reputation of the MSP when all is said and done. The MSP has to win back the trust of the people. Seeing clowns like YB, after just getting through with the clown MP last year, is not a good look for the MSP.
MOO
It’s an awful look for the MSP and I can’t believe that nobody considered that when they decided to retry the case. The CW should forfeit the case now just to stop the bleeding. I’m local and was probably neutral on the MSP and local LE before this trial. Now, Im solidly in the negative column.

May 8, 2025, Trial Day 12

"We speak for those that can no longer speak for themselves." - Sgt. Yuri Bukhenik
Not sure Sgt. Yuri Bukhenik is aware or remembers what the word "speak" means.

When AJ couldn’t pin Yuri down on whether or not the texts were “flirtatious,” Yuri gave a tiny smirk when he thought he had won that round. Then AJ returned from the sidebah and thwacked down a binder an inch thick with all of their texts in front of him and made him read them all. Heh. Moral of the story: Don’t screw with AJ.

As painful as it was to listen to, AJ proved his point. Don't play those little games when you're being crossed, it can and will backfire on you and make your whole team look foolish. Answer the questions, yes or no, as requested.
And I still think Yuri was digging his impromptu dramatic reading.
The inflections and tone were killing me lol.
It's been a crazy week.
IMO.

Double negative: I am NOT unconvinced after seeing bar videos that Chris A was not involved in setting up what happened to John.
Ignore the Victorian era grammar rules that where imported from Latin, Germanic languages use double negative as emphatic.

I ain't misbehaving
I can't get no satisfaction

I feel badly for all of you who live locally to these LE creeps! Imagine having to have police involvement for something that happens in your life, and having one of these idiots show up to investigate. The local people deserve so much better than this.

Well, it means she killed her boyfriend with a Lexus I guess. Moo
Someone here making a big deal about Karen daring to display her middle finger, like we all do on occasion in life when using our hands sometimes to prop against our face. Who cares! So petty to even bring up. It's similar to when Johnny Depp's lawyer made it in the news for having his middle finger propped against his cheek while Amber Heard was testifying. What does it really mean? Absolutely nothing!

Ricky Dantono and Heather Maxon were at 34 Fairview after JOK and Karen arrived and pulled up behind their parked SUV. (With Ryan Nagel, who was driving)

YB says RD and HM pulled up to Fairview at the same time as John and Karen, not after. But he acknowledges they were eyewitnesses to Karen’s car.

AJ: You’re aware that they had a certain perspective of the SUV, correct? They were eyewitnesses to certain things relative to the SUV.

AJ: You instructed Proctor to interview those witnesses in August 2022.

YB says he doesn’t remember, but it’s on paper.

Proctor interviewed RD and HM 9/2/2023. 18 months after John’s death. Insane.
Ricky was driving not Ryan Nagel.
RN was in the front passenger seat and when his sister came out of the Albert's house he opened the car door and they spoke.
Heather was in the back seat mostly on her phone.
RN was asked if Ricky was the designated driver and didn't drink?
Ryan said something like, no he drinks.

And the judge said, "You're going to make him read all of it????" (paraphrasing). Then a side bar. Alan Jackson is brilliant. Then Yuri acts out the character roles complete with various emotional connotations while he's reading them. If this trial wasn't so serious in nature, it would seem like a comedy. Even Judge Cannone laughed today at something, which was nice to see for a change.

It was covered during the talking heads Judge Ashley and her guest. Court TV showed a clip of Karen’s hand touching the side and her fingers being blurred. I tend to believe that it will be replayed numerous times tonight.
I could care less. Unless someone "flips the bird" I'm not going to bash them for resting their hand on their face. JMOO

It never fails to amaze me how often something as serious as a criminal murder trial throws up so many unintentionally hilarious moments.

I’m usually a “ha ha” person instead of using smiley emojis but I’ll never type it again! I will always hear it in Yuri’s voice HA HA.

I wish AJ had said “How do you like me now, beyotch” as he tossed the binder in front of him, but alas. We can’t have everything, and we did have the dramatic reading and AJ’s great cross.

What was the inaccurate performance review that YB was found to have made?

I don't see her even wanting to go back to the corporate world after this "episode" anyway. Nobody would want that publicity it would bring to both her and the org. I see her being a victim advocate though, possibly gaining an education in law, and definitely writing a book.

Another Erin Brochevich. 🙂

Ridiculous that the honorable judge never says anything and just lets them go on and on
