When Karen Read kept saying "I hit him", I've always thought that it could be said with a question mark. "I hit him?". JMO

I agree AJ could make an argument that staging is implied and he can't know who did it due to being at a disadvantage. But he doesn't seem to be saying that. He seems to be arguing for the sallyport/proctor theory.
Ok. Thanks for answering.

I've only covered this thread every so often so I confess that I have not listened to every word, nor read every word. I do want to comment on the marks on JO
s arm. Those marks look exactly like the marks I had on my arm a year ago when I was attacked by two dogs. The gashes were lines running downward. The dogs' teeth were scraping my arm because I was pulling away, trying to get free. JMO

There were some pieces of taillight that DID NOT match the others, nor did they fit into the re-creation of the taillight. Might these have been the ones discovered by SERT at 34F the evening of the 29th? Maybe someone got some random pieces and planted them....
This was a false rumor perpetuated on a misunderstanding of the testimony.

  • Vallier testified she was able to reconstruct the plastic fragments she was asked to examine into a bigger piece that she said was a physical match to the taillight from Read’s car.

Some pieces were too tiny to match edges, but they were still a match in terms of their physical properties.

It was the glass fragments which didn't all match John's cocktail glass, but now Karen has said he was holding her glass too.

Defendant’s interview with ID Docuseries April 13, 2024

“So when John got out of the car at Brian Albert’s house he took my full vodka soda which is sitting in the, in the cup holder.”

last trial -

"Several witnesses have testified that O’Keefe was seen on surveillance footage leaving a bar with a glass in hand before Read drove him over to an afterparty at 34 Fairview Road on Jan. 29, 2022."

Where in this timeline are the first cocktail glass pieces found?
And where is the other half of that cocktail glass?

I will forever be baffled at someone that even IF they think KR is guilty, they have no problems with the LE lying under oath. Even IF they think she is guilty, they are okay with LE bias and laser focus on one person without investigation of the circumstances.
They all change the subject when it's brought up.

As to physical properties, most taillights have those same properties. Did you think KR had her tail lights to be specially made or one of a kind . <modsnip>

When were the cocktail glass pieces recovered?

Here is the thing. No pieces of taillight were uncovered by Gallagher early that morning. The pieces of taillight that were recovered were found at 6pm. Between the early morning and 6pm is a long enough window for the pieces to have been planted. JM told EVERYONE, including Brian Albert that morning, that KR thinks she hit him. That gives him or any of the others an ample amount of time to set the scene. If you had read the timeline of police corruption in MA I posted some threads back, I hope you would realize that yes in this state a lot of corruption has happened and it happened in this case too. Who planted the taillight pieces? Well who put the rock for the jurors to see on the lawn? We will probably never know these answers. Also, why didn't anyone record or report the depth of snow that these pieces were found at? Oh, never mind I forgot, they didn't like reports. MOO

Good comparison with the rock.

ARRCA states no collision using physics and actual science. There's simply no way for a person to get hit on their arm hard enough it flings them out of their shoe and not end up with bruising or broken bones. The tail light pieces ended up at 34 Fairview and it wasn't from a collision.

She did not say she hit him. She said did I hit him? Once again, we can't consider the Paramedic's testimony when she did not write it down at the scene or any time later. It's hearsay.
We can consider the paramedic's testimony, it was admissible evidence. She was interviewed by police the next day and reported it then. As she testified - it wasn't her role to write a report of the incident, she was the ambulance driver.

And it wasn't just one paramedic KR said it to. Timothy Nuttal also testified she said 'I hit him' as he was attending to John, and he reported it in his interview with police on 8th Feb 2022.

'Did I hit him?'

"Did I just start my period?'

Nope

I think AJ is poking holes - where ever there are holes to be poked. He is identifying all the shady aspects and opportunities for Procter to "proctor". All the while adding to the list of immense reasonable doubt that runs throughout this case. JMO

When were the cocktail glass pieces recovered?
The base of a broken glass was recovered that morning by Lt Paul Gallagher before 8am.

I have no idea what dates the other six fragments which matched it were found at the scene.

Matter of fact did anyone right it down? Don't think so.

iirc the LE was never able to establish where the cocktail glass came from - it did not match the waterfall barware and they never checked Brian A's house for their glassware. I know the P has been displaying it but where are they claiming this time around it came from?

Here is an article from the first trial that mentions it. Where's Lank btw ? In the first trial it seems like he said he was doing the interviews that YB said he was doing. Wasn't Lank a pretty big player in Birchmore?

Dear old trustworthy Paul who used a paper bag and plastic cup for evidence storage. Yes I'm really going to trust him.

Sorry to ask, and did Lt Paul Gallagher recover pieces of red tail light as well or just the clear, colorless cocktail glass base?

No. Gallagher is on the Canton PD. He testified that the Canton PD on the scene that morning used a leaf blower in the same area where the red taillight was later "found" but only found clear glass. Only a few inches of snow on the ground at that point. Not a single piece of red taillight and no large chunks which were found much later.

Maybe I missed it, but I don't recall any testimony from an expert forensically connecting the clear glass found to the glasses used at either bar. I know the CW tried to connect some bit of glass on Read's bumper to the clear glass found near the street but was unable to do so.

RSBM

About 6.5 inches of snow had fallen by 8am, according to the meteorologist, which was not disputed by the defence.
