Good question, when does this become a problem for the courts and the case? Even if it’s permissible why would you want to keep an expert on that is not who they claimed to be.

When KR left today she said that they were ambushed. What did she mean? I’m still catching up on today.
I didn't hear that part. She may mean they were ambushed by the likes of this reconstructionist team per the prosecution. IMO

Really wish we knew the prosecution witness list....who will cross BH, BA?? There are about 5 plus people I want on the witness stand.

Alessi argued ambush, ambush, ambush regarding the late time change and supplemental report from aperture.

I don't think the prosecution will call either one although I believe they are both on their list. The defense will definitely call Higgins. Possibly BA too.

He sure did. And then he did a lot of research over the weekend.
Reverse ambush obtained 👍
I'm still in shock that the CW didn't check Burgess out - rookie move.
IMO.

Time stamp on the trial 2:48:42 Shows an evidence photo of the start up screen stuff for the Lexus , right under that are gps cords.
So of course I map them...because ..why not..
Anyway California is where the cords came from in the test Lexus .
However the start up screen should tell us exactly when the reverse happened and where.
Has anyone heard about the GPS cords displayed on the screen shot?
Map of Massachusetts
The test suv cords from evidence photo. Not KR's Lexus.

I don't think it was actually in the ocean. It however thought it was.

I think the defense calls both. Higgins for obvious reasons. And BA for an explanation of why he supposedly slept through everything that was going on underneath his bedroom window that morning, the butt dials, and Chloe/Cora.

Do you think they'll call Proctor?

Thought he had YB read BH’s texts since BH was unlikely to get called?

Or am I getting confused that it was just the CW that wasn’t going to call him?

The prosecution won't, but I'm not sure about the defense. I know most of the lawtubers have said they probably will call him but I can see why they might not.

Might be a non secular...but the photo of the house Burgess used was not 34th imo. Looked like different house. The photo where they had all the round circles to show movement of Karen's SUV.

Maybe they have not decided. I wonder which defense lawyer I would like to question which witness.....BH, BA and a few others. I think all of Karen's 3 lawyers are doing great.

Shanon Burgess

Shanon Burgess is a Digital Forensic Expert for Aperture. For over eight years, Shanon has forensically investigated litigated cases involving distracted driving, fraud, employee misconduct, data exfiltration, criminal investigations, damaged devices, and other issues involving digital devices. He frequently speaks at industry events, maintains bylines in industry publications, and enjoys sharing insightful content relating to digital forensics and cybersecurity.

He is surely an expert in some areas above.

The reconstructionist is Welcher from Aperture who relied on today's witness's work for some or all of his conclusions.

Ought to be mighty interesting.

I'm sure there are some on the jury saying something like this to themselves:

"Of all the the experts in all the towns in all the world, this is the best the state of Massachusetts can get to attempt to prove their case?"

Certainly appears they were hired for their flexibility with the truth as opposed to their expertise.

duh! I knew that! haha

@Tortoise - that was a good post this morning (thread 27) where you referenced 2 video interviews of KR saying such things as I was “looking to find him on the side of the road, I was expecting to find him” and (both quotes are about the 6:30 am trip to Fairview with JM and Kerry) “he’s roughly where I left him”.
Add to that her father’s comment that KR said, “Dad I think I struck something…..I remember backing up and hitting something”
at 1:45 here:
Not to mention the frantic chants of “Did I hit him?”
Why would she say these things? IMO, it’s because she tried to hit him and possibly did graze him on the knee. Why else would she keep talking about hitting him with her car if she really thought he was in the house?
I think parties on each side of the aisle are trying to hide something here. Clearly, IMO, LE was inept at best, and corrupt at worst, but I don’t think she’s 100% clean here.
That being said, there’s no way a jury can find her guilty - reasonable doubt appears in every aspect of this case.
She did hit something. She hit O'keefe's car.
Maybe this is her memory of striking something, BEFORE she went back.
and breaking the tail light....imo

Alessi said on Friday that he would need 4 days to prepare for the Aperture stuff. I was not expecting anything today.

Does this mean that Defence got everything done over the weekend and will not claim the 4 days?

The other point made on Friday was the possibility of having to re-interview previous witnesses depending on revised times presented. Would that now be obsolete/thrown out in the light of totally discredited witness?

I found the clip but can't find who originally, it looks like it has a WJAR NBC stamp on it, maybe from the news tonight? (I don't think I should share the X post from a random person) This is what she said:

My reaction is that Attorney Brennan represented to the court and us last week that he was surprised to get a report on May 8th, and only shared with us on May 11th, and now we find out that Mr. Brennan knew this report was coming the whole time, that is the definition of an ambush, that's what just happened.

Mr. Burgess acknowledged when Alessi asked him, the program he was "pursuing" is not even offered at the University of Alabama.

After 17 years of trying, his pursuit may be over. JMO

ETA: outdated and outright wrong are 2 different things, especially if you are representing yourself as an expert. JMO
