Imagine if Higgins or anyone else the defense accuses of killing him had left those voicemails on John O’Keefe’s phone and ran around yelling “I HIT HIM” to everyone- and left broken taillight pieces of their vehicle near his body - along with a cocktail glass & straw he left the bar with.
With less than a 30 second timeframe discrepancy, of when Karen Read backed up and John’s phone locked and the phone never moved again and neither did he.

IMO

The extra pieces of taillight that didn't belong or fit into the reconstruction have not been explained. See Ashley Vallier testimony. Also, JO was not hit by KR's car. JMOO

IMO, this jury will absolutely discount anything Shanon Burgess said on the stand today, along with anything from Aperture, now that Burgess has identified the company as complicit in lying to the Feds ( and this court). The CW's witnesses are disintegrating before our eyes.
Thanks to Alessi of course.

Karen Read questioning what happened to John, ‘could she have hit him?’ Is a natural question to ask yourself, when you wake up stressed out, still intoxicated and don’t find your BF home with his niece. Her questioning her own potential culpability is not an admission, it is someone desperately trying to figure out what happened to someone she loved. Moo.
I think it would be more believable if she woke up saying “did John pass out on BA’s couch?” or “Did he get a ride with another party goer and they got in an accident since they were sloshed?” But to wake up thinking she hit him with her car…and then he’s found dead at the side of the road? Very fishy to me.

I’m surprised the witness is not deaf.
This I have to agree with you about. I think the arrangements that the Judge made is absurd.

They haven't had one witness that did them any good in my opinion. All of them have been impeached in one way or the other. The one that did show some integrity, the medical examiner, couldn't even say that he was hit by a car!!! Hahaha!! The cw's case has been a disaster and that's with this "judge" in their pocket!

This I have to agree with you about. I think the arrangements that the Judge made is absurd.

It was the defense who requested a courtroom change last trial.

The judge had them in a larger courtroom but, unbelievably, half the jury wouldn't have been able to see the witnesses' faces as they testified. Which is kind of important! Apparently this was the only other one available for either trial.

I respectfully disagree.

His credibility will be judged by the jury - I would suspect they’ll view it in context of other witnesses and their conclusions.
The evidence Karen hit him is overwhelming.

IMO
And what evidence is that?

I don't think the jury will outright dismiss the testimony right now. Once they hear other witnesses and depending on what they say or don't say.... they might make that decision.

I do think they will have a heightened awareness when all the other experts come in now. How will the other witnesses stack up?

Sometimes jurors just don't see what we see, or feel how we do. They also don't have all the noise and extra info we do.

I respectfully disagree.
No one knows that she did not think that, she did not know Alberts number, all she could do was go looking and call unfortunately JMc and Kerri. She was NOT friends with them, John was. She hoped they could help instead she was used instead of the plower because she got there before anyone saw JOK on Alberts lawn that morn. ALL about the timing and of course the awful and continued, caught out lieing by JMc and the rest of them. IMO

If you would lie about having a college degree in an effort to obtain work…

What else would you lie about once hired to do said work? MOO

It’s not about the degree. It’s about the deception.

At the end of the day, the defense may have been able to pick apart SB’s credentials, but not his findings. The digital forensic data stands. Despite the damning digital forensic, defense did not challenge it. Matter of fact, KR clip 23 (audio) confirmed the turn around. Link below -- timestamp 6:17:51

Clearly, this young man talented in his field and passionate about the work he does. He came across as credible. It’s not unusual to have an outdated LinkedIn profile.

It’s up to the jury to decide.

Just an opinion

Do we even know what this man's financial situation was when he started college and throughout the years he's taking classes? Did he maybe opted to pay as you go, so he had no student debt, while working different jobs to finance that education and his living expenses?
IMO, this doesn’t matter. He’s had plenty of time to correct any ‘misinformation’ on his CV and LinkedIn.
The CW cannot prove that Officer O’Keefe was hit by a vehicle, T2 should have never happened. Thus far, I’ve not seen any bit of evidence that shows he was hit by a car.
Burgess is doing a great job for the defense. This whole trial is a farce.

Wow, my mind is still racing. But to sum up my thoughts: No reputable forensic expert would touch this case for the Commonwealth, so they brought in Shanon Burgess. A man who lied about his degree, inflated his resume, and quietly changed his report mid-trial to match the timeline after hearing Ian Whiffin’s testimony.

His entire professional image is built on deception. Why should we trust his data if we can’t trust his credentials? Meanwhile, actual experts with REAL degrees were subjected to voir dire, but Burgess got a free pass. Cannone allowed it. Hank Brennan didn’t disclose his lack of qualifications, likely because he knew.

At what point does this stop being incompetence and become outright misconduct? MOO

She believes John died around 12:25 am to 12:30 am ET...
Most of us have seen the video of John leaving the Waterfall bar at 12:11 am ET.

Just amazing that she would provide such an admission.
Wow. Unbelievable. She doesnt know how to remain silent. jmo

Brennan plays a video clip where Read says they believe O'Keefe died around 12:25am-12:30am -->

When was this interview done?
TYIA.

I am so confused with Burgess's diagram with all the circles....so he claims Karen drove to 34th from the opposite direction that Ryan and crew saw her drive from??

And the house got major remodeling if the same house...new pool, new driveway?
He's clueless. But someone will jump on the 'fact' that KR came from the oppoite direction.

His findings weren’t particularly strong. He made mistakes in his own direct - for one, saying the Lexus ‘power on’ event around 5am 1/29/22 was occurring WHILE we see Karen exiting John’s garage in the morning, in the timestamped video that Burgess included as part of his report. How did the car turn on, when it was already turned on and reversing out of the garage?

He also admitted to over a dozen mistakes and ‘misrepresentations’ on cross. He did not have a single person review his report before handing it over. He has no reason for choosing the ‘anchor point’ as the most accurate data point, other than that it most closely fits the CW’s theory.

He showed major signs of confirmation bias and did NO analysis of raw data. He exists, not to independently review his findings, but in a desperate attempt to discredit ARCCA.

All IMO.
