Courts over for the day.
No court Thurs & Fri.
Nothing until Tuesday. So strange. This whole case so far. There has to be something going on. The defense doesn’t seem upset so I wonder what is going on. Of course the CW will have to save face in any event

Looks like Welcher could not make it this week after all. Is he the last one that will testify for the P?
JMO
He probably wants as far away from this case as he can possibly get

Not sure about Mass, but here in GA there are a ton of high school graduations this week. They may be allowing the extra days for those.
IMO Just a thought.

"Just before 11 a.m., all 18 jurors returned, though two had switched seats. Cannone said she needed to stress that it is very important that no one discuss the case with each other outside of court. "

[...]

"He described the laceration to the back of O'Keefe's head as an injury that typically happens when soft tissue hits the solid ground.

"It's a classic blunt trauma laceration," Wolf said.

Brennan asked Wolf if the injury could be caused by O'Keefe falling backwards and hitting his head.

"My opinion is that's what caused his whole injury," Wolf said."

He also answered yes to the defense asking if it could come from blows to the head.

Does anyone remember what the kids who were in the car behind KR said about seeing JOK in the car or exiting the vehicle?

Just wondering if anyone saw him exit the vehicle at all.
No

I need to go back and rewatch Dr. Stonebridge from trial 1 and figure out why the CW didn't call her in favor of Dr. Wolf. Does anyone have a quick answer?
Quoting myself in case anyone is interested. I rewatched Dr. Stonebridge's testimony. She examined his brain and stated the injury was acute and the result of blunt force trauma. The injury was the result of a type of force, but she couldn't be more specific. Lally gave her a couple of 'could have' scenarios and she said it was possible he could have gotten the injuries from a fall or being struck by a vehicle and going to the ground. There was no cross.

Plow drivers routinely scan the sides of the road to make sure there are no objects which their plows might inadvertently hit.
The Ford Edge was parked in front of where JOK was found when Lucky went by. THE big topic about the plow. Remember he did not make a note of it to the authorities because as a favor to Albert? This is where the plow going by and not seeing JOK as well as no one else. Why was the car parked down there in the wee hours when it was not before. Fines if car parked after midnight from I believe DEC. to sometime in March, due to winter and plowing. Why was it there and not in his driveway> A few of the people involved own a Ford Edge. IMO>

Any chance this isn’t true and they need time to figure out what to do? I can’t imagine Welcher wants to go ahead with his planned testimony which was based on trust for SB’s analysis and conclusions. Jmo.

If I was the CW, I would not have wanted today's testimony to be what the jury thinks about all weekend, they usually plan better then this lol

He also answered yes to the defense asking if it could come from blows to the head.
That's not correct.

The defence asked him about the small laceration on John's upper eyelid being caused by force which had nothing to do with the ecchymosis/raccoon eyes. And Dr Wolf agreed.

In fact Mr Alessi indicated he was in agreement with the doctor's description of the fall backwards -

"this injury is unrelated to any of what you've been describing, the fall backwards, the force transfer inside the skull...all of that dynamic you so ably described on your direct examination, this injury has nothing to do with that, correct?

Answer: "correct"

On direct examination Dr Wolf said, when asked if those injuries to the back of the head, the skull and brain etc could have been from an attack with a weapon -

"Well, he did not have a depressed skull fracture, so any focal hit like that would more likely than not have caused a depressed skull fracture."
