It is not coming out in trial, but I thought that KR and JO were not close friends of the As and then the As kept inviting them, at least on this night, to stop over. KR did not feel invited and JM kept texting JO about his arrival-
1. had JO been to the As before?
2. why did JM ask him over repeatedly? and then not notice when he did not come in even though KR's car was outside?
Am I down my own private rabbit hole?

According to her.
I think she inserted herself and she’s her biggest fan.

IMO
I don't think she should be disrespected. She has served her community for a long time as both a police officer and a ER doctor. Her life has always been about saving lives. More people should be like her. Moo

All that and she can’t write her own professional report

IMO
I thought Brennan was trying to do two things:
1. say that she was only around to make $ and
2. that the law firm kind of ghost wrote her report

not sure that either of those tacks made her less believable to the jury
AND I was not sure why he kept hounding her about other experts- are you
better than another physician? are you better than a dog trainer? are you
better than an ME? I just thought it went on too long and he brought it up
much more than she did.

Her careers have been incredible and fruitful to all that have experienced her education and skills. She's one of those naturals that we are fortunate to have among us when needed as noted there were hundreds upon hundreds. She has no reason to impress anyone, she's a natural born brilliant woman of great curiosity and followed those career paths. Hard to find a fault, BUT they do for whatever their reasons are, no concern of hers at all for sure. IMO

Of course mega amounts of her professional reports in her careers have been filed, different situation here I don't think it can be questioned without full knowledge or understanding of her testimony imo

I’ve only followed this trial casually, but….I seem to remember that tail light debris was included in the bag that held the victim’s dried clothing. (Which could of course explain why a minuscule fragment of red plastic was imbedded in his shirt.) Does anyone else recall this?

So Dr Russell sought out someone, a prosecutor she knew was “friends” with the defense in CALIFORNIA and would pass on her information & willingness to be involved in this high profile case - then used this as an opportunity to advertise her services

Interesting IMO
It's called networking.
The younger jury should be very familiar with it.

It's the name of the game.
imo

The call to serve the human community and she sure has over decades and decades and continues to do so, thankfully!

I think they took the tail light cover and broke it while it was wrapped in his shirt. That's how they found every minuscule fragment of red plastic and how it got on the shirt. S/

Love how HB intentionally misprounces Alessi's name. What a petty little child he is.

Dever testified today that she reported the defense’s threats to the FBI

I’m banking that’s how they got poor snow plow guy to change his testimony to benefit the defense.

All imo

So why do CW's witness keep changing their stories left and right?

Memory isn’t perfect, far from it.

Dr. Russell is doing right now while looking at the same photos

He’s actually being nicer than I thought he’d be. I mean, he insinuated that she, after a successful career and retirement, was using the Karen Read case to launch a new career in expert testimony… but at least he didn’t yell it! 😂
And btw Brennan, what would be wrong with this highly skilled woman transitioning to a new career that is built upon all the knowledge and experience from her previous career ? It's a natural progression.

It was 3:45pm ish when the judge called it for the day but I think Brennan was winding up to go full Chucky, but he was saved by the judge. It won't play well with the jury. She is an earnest and likable older woman.

HB kept asking her whether she had ever taken a course in "patterns and dogbites" or something like that - she keeps replying no - then finally she says because NONE exist -.
It is so like Brennan to ask the, well you have not done this or that - but this or that does not exist or doesn't make a bit of difference- just his snakish way of trying to discredit the person because he cannot discredit the information.
You Hank Brennan are losing the battle and Mr Lally is here for it.

The more I process the earlier witness Devers and her testimony I think she's on desk duty soon and then maybe back in the archives. She made herself and her department look very bad.
There is no reason that the account she gave to the FBI would be a false memory- it was so specific - included Karen's car etc. ...how many times has a Lexus like that one been in the sallyport during her Canton tenure. My guess NEVER.

It's very hard to straighten out the lying and corruption when it seemingly trickles down from the top.

Oh and one more thing - I wish they had not read the Proctor text about John's sister's husband Overdosing/Killing himself at the sister's grave. Uncalled and unnecessary.

Don’t you think Lucky would have told someone if this was the case?

How do you think that defense attorneys would charge Lucky with perjury if he did not testify as they pleased? Do you not think that even if some complaint were filed, if Lucky told the truth, even if oppositional to anything the defense wanted to say, no charges would be filed? Why did he not proclaim on the stand that he felt threatened by the defense, like Dever did today?

Frankly I just find that to be a bit of a preposterous reach. The reality is they told Dever she would be committing perjury if she got up on the stand and pulled the stunt she pulled today. She just wants to be a victim MOO.

I wasn't aware he changed his testimony. Do you have a link to his original statement before he changed it?
