Funny! 😀

I just want to say that we are not the Vermonters who rehomed Chloe, even though our yellow lab would insist this is the best home on the planet and would love to help rehab a sad girl who clearly wasn't happy in her Canton home.
I feel bad for Chloe. Locked in a bedroom 24/7 because they wanted an aggressive dog. She was just doing want they wanted. imo

I know...the poor girl. Anyone else would be arrested for treating their dog that way.

And how heartless was it to give away a dog that had been in the family for 7years. And that is IF they really did give her away. She's probably at Rainbow Bridge in my opinion.

I think they should bring in a dog whisperer who met with Chloe in VT and testifies that Chloe said “I BIT HIM, I BIT HIM, I BIT HIM.”
I am giving you an award for this comment !! I love it :)

This case is strange for WS. I haven't been here as long as a lot of you have, but in most of the threads I've contributed to on this website, the question han't usually been guilty vs not guilty, it's been more along the lines of to-what-exact-extent-is-this-defendant guilty under the law of whichever jurisdiction the trial is taking place in? Murder or Manslaughter? 1st degree intentional or reckless?

But in this one it's more:
- how was the decedent just lying there on the lawn for 6 hours with no-one noticing him?
- why did Brian Higgins randomly decide to go to Canton PD to move some cars around (or not) at 1am?
- did a woman search "hos long to die in cold" at 2:27am or at 6am and was this because the defendant asked her to or not?
- exactly how battered was someone's taillight at various times?

@bobbymkii It's not often we have a case that screams "Corruption!"

Will Dr Russell dress up as John in a dog bite suit and paint the German shepherd’s mouth blue?

MOO
The dog gargled with DNA remover after getting shaved bald - Poor Chloe - innocent dog gets blamed for everything. IMO

While I'm on a roll. The CW's approach to the taillight reminds me of the running joke they have in 'The Simpsons' where they find various ways to obscure the state or part of the USA where Springfield is located.

They' finally get video of Karen's car driving back to 1 Meadows - then Bart Simpson's head pops up blocking the view of the taillight.

😩

One thing that’s bugged me all day. Brennan had Proctors friend read some of the group text and during tha part where they were talking about it being Read but hard to prove Proctor texted something to the effect of Liz has the blueprint. Liz is his sister. What is the blueprint? Ideas to make it open shut against Read?

Dever should be charged with obstruction of justice.

Instead, she will be promoted.

The stench of the rot is making my eyes water.
It was difficult to watch her testify. The way she pretended to struggle with her answers, especially the simple "yes" and "no" answers, was rather insulting. She wanted to come across as offended, I think, but instead she was offensive. She didn't have respect for anyone or for the solemness of the situation.

I think we’re gonna hear a lot about dog bites this week and I’m ready for one of the witnesses to quote Richard Dreyfuss in Jaws:

But the fact is, the bite radius on this animal is different than the wounds on the victim.

they are more like claw marks...right? mOO

This may come back to bite her in the tush?

Can Dever testifing today on having a "false memory" and to the FBI to boot, effect her prior cases, convictions and future arrests/cases?

Even without her "false memory" I sure as hell wouldn't want to deal with her in her LE position.
Nasty and arrogant which came very easily to her.
imo
She was not nasty and arrogant, she was standing her ground and not putting up with the defense's unsubstantiated innuendos galore. Big mistake putting Officer Devers on by the defense, she swallowed them whole. AJMO

The Dr after her was another huge mistake by the defense, IMO. Self-inflated opinion on her dog bite expertise that it seems only she, the only doctor in the whole country, possesses. One and only time she's contributed her expert opinion on a case too. Does that even qualify her as a dog bite "expert" to testify?

No way those are dog bites, MO. All superficial and no depth to them, and the Dr agreed about that. If a dog like a Shepherd (I've had three in my lifetime, one was my Dad's police dog) came at you, repeatedly, you're drunk and you come away with not even one puncture!? Not likely at all, AJMO

Yes @themonk …. Have to agree about the fact that shifting testimony or recall might rise to that obstructing justice. IANAL. And I hope this individual is not promoted for anything related to her ‘testimony’ in the second trial.

I just listened to the replay of officer Denver’s testimony today….. Under direct by AJ, redirect by HB as well on several iterations.

IIRC Officer Dever early in her testimony to AJ stated only a casual knowledge of Higgins. And almost seemed to be distancing herself from him, and his office in the Canton PD. But by the end of the last direct by AJ….. after the last redirect by HB…… Dever basically said that ‘her whole career was on the line as part of her testifying’. And that regarding whether she might have implicated two individuals that she had reported seeing…….. she then said to AJ that they were ‘friends’ (meaning IIUC Higgins and Berkowitz).

Astonishing testimony. And yet it also seemed that Dever was attempting to implicate something about the interactions she had with the defense team. SMH. MOO

I thought today was the best day in this trial so far. I rewatched the entire testimony of Kelly Devers. I have no idea how she could have had a memory of something that she now says couldn’t have happened. I wish they did a deeper dive into where her initial memory came from. I mean, did she go to bed that night and dream it?
That being said, that girl has spunk, toughness and brains. I loved the way she fearlessly went toe-to-toe with AJ. For some reason, I actually respect the way she bobbed and weaved under extreme pressure, whereas I thought Yuri looked like a fool when he tried to do the same thing.

That's why his socks were backwards upside down
😞
You have a link for backwards & upside down ?

I have heard no such testimony.

I don’t know if the house gang had the time but it’s definitely crossed my mind if Proctor did.

I wondered if it was some kind of unwritten police code/jargon that there is/was a plan to magically find (create?) evidence.

Then what? They added the dirt, blood, debris, grass stains and puke back later?
