IMO, Day 26 was a very good day for Karen Read.

- Dr. Russell, with her unique background, came off very believable and withstood a rough cross. She explained some details about the dog bites to help me understand what I was looking at. Brennan accusing her of having a faulty memory was beyond disgusting.

- Sgt. Barros was a breath of fresh air. I’m wondering if his demeanor on the stand will make some of the jurors think back to other LEOs who were less than forthcoming. I found his testimony to corroborate the Dighton ring video that showed only PART of the taillight missing.

I expect that Brennan will be extra aggressive tomorrow. IMO, the day after the defense has a good day, he gets a bit more aggressive with his cross (or redirect when he was presenting).

Also it was found that JMc listened in on Kerrie's, OF COURSE, that was brought up earlier in this trial 2. 'SHE'S TELLING HIM EVERYTHINGGGG'. Kerrie seemed pretty put out a bit by that. That's what happens when police procedure is not followed Kerrie and just have a buddy (proctor) come 'ovah the house' and have a chat. IMO

Like her or not, Karen Read has had her life turned upside down by crooked cops. She was a wealthy, successful single woman accomplishing everything and has now lost her home, jobs, 401k, etc., all because - why??? Brian Higgins, Brian Albert - you got some 'splaining to do!!

I have always thought it looked like a reflection that disappeared as she drove off towards the right of the camera, combined with snow caked on the taillights, and swirling snow all around. Living in Northern Vermont on the Canadian border, my taillights had snow caked on them all winter (great ski season up here!).

I can see how some people are convinced it's a broken taillight, but then I remember we're looking at less-than-optimal camera footage that's been overly enhanced, and I think about all the cases on Websleuths where people can't agree on what they see. Delphi murders are a prime example. So I tend to put less credence on unclear video.

Sometimes you just can't figure out what you're looking at. It's easy to be swayed by people who tell you they're certain. Our brains want to fill in that unknown space.

Did I mention I'm certain I have a photo of Sasquatch walking near our stream in the woods? Maybe it's on its way to Canada after getting lost fleeing the West Coast.

I wonder if any of them thought of John’s niece and nephew or their own children when doing whatever they did. John’s niece and nephew have experienced 3 lifetimes worth of loss at their young ages. The McCabe’s kids don’t deserve to be dragged through all of this garbage.

I know some people want a Guilty verdict bc she's unlikable and MAYBE she is GUILTY - thats not how the courts or our system works here - at least for now - in America - you need to prove it - there are those ole pesky standards you have to meet.

And if they cannot find her Guilty with all the cheating and lying - well just what does that tell you.

Reasonable doubt is riddled through out this whole case in an enormous fashion

I have watched the videos, looked at the pictures from testimony, I don't need anyone to tell me what I can and cannot see, that is my point... what you see and what I see are different.... meaning... the pictures and videos are obviously still up for debate IMO

The CW and defense don't seem to agree on it still, since we are more than half way through the 2nd trial and they are still trying to convince the jury one way or the other too.

I am repeating myself, but I sincerely believe the CW knows they have the wrong person on trial.
