Knowing this particular judge, she'll send the jurors home right after closing arguments, and they'll have to wait until Monday to begin deliberating.
I hope that I didn't just speak that into existence.
IMO.
I believe it’s because the CW has to prove the burden, and that the CW having the ‘last word’ is supposed to essentially give them ample opportunity to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt. I think it’s also why they get the first opening argument. All IMO thoughI just do not understand this whatsoever!!! What the heck? CW gets the last word over the defense? Seems so absolutely backwards.
first photo is from autopsy... other photos, he moved them to represent how Welcher had his arm in the paint test video.

blue lines show the direction... do not line up according to Rentschler.

Unless....the CW is crooked and has got to a juror, as in Run Away Jury, Brenner didn't need the last say.Brenner is wore out.
I believe it's the jury instructions. This is the first trial I’ve watched in its entirety. What is a charge conference?

Jinx! You owe me a coke!I believe it's the jury instructions.
Rentschler says.. look at the arm.. look at the elbow... the car wouldn't contact the elbow. In order to get the pattern on the arm... the surrogate throws his elbow into the arm .. he plays the video slowly, it shows Welcher moving his elbow into the blue paint tail light.
(I am not talented enough to grab a video of the video he showed quick haha )
Is that proper scientific testing? objection.. sustained.

And look at how that turned out last time. I bet the defense is going to go hard on getting jury instructions that the jury actually understands! No reason for confusion on the instructions. It's basically both sides coming to an agreement on what the jury instructions are and how they are read and how the charges are worded. It's a little more complicated than that, but that's the gist of it.
