I have thought about my time here at WS. On so many threads (especially death of children threads), I hear one poster after another declare that we are here for that person. That, even though the people who should have loved them in life killed them, we are here to make sure that they receive justice. We all care about that person even though we did not actually know them! I am here to tell you that there are many, many dedicated, loving, smart, and wonderful people here on WS that care about John O'Keefe.

How can we care about John and still support Karen? Because we have spent hours upon hours of our own personal time and energy watching this trial, investigating the circumstances, discussing the trial at nauseam, and defending our position at nauseam. We have followed the evidence we believe and we believe that the woman that John loved and whom loved him is not guilty.

My way of honoring John is to stand up to this injustice. There was never a true investigation in to the death of John. That is a true and complete tragedy. The LE that should have cared more about this case because he was on of their own failed him. They didn't even put a scintilla of time that we have invested in to this case to solve the circumstances of his death. They didn't interview everyone that he interacted with that night. They didn't follow proper police protocol : investigate the scene which includes going in the house, document where exactly he was found (even if it happens after he is loaded in the ambulance), red solo cups, leaf blower, grocery bag from neighbor, chain of custody, removing LE that were personally involved with witnesses from the investigation, interviews not conducted in a timely manner, gathering any video surveillance in a timely manner, on and on and on. LE that should have wanted to make certain that this case was solved made enough mistakes in this case to get fired. A tragedy indeed. Injustice complete. An investigation is supposed to be like a story. You start at the beginning and find out what the ending is by following ALL of the bread crumbs. In this case, the lead investigator found a path and followed it without caring about the truth.

The truth will never be known unless someone comes forward to tell the whole story.
Thank you from 'US'. Perfect and yes.

Crossing fingers this is a verdict.

Could it also be them saying they are deadlocked?

This is the first trial I’ve followed closely. I’m looking forward to viewing others to compare and contrast the prosecutor and judge form KR’s case.. I’ve been thinking about watching the old Jodi Arias trial because I read here that the judge was removed from the bench post-trial. Any current trials anyone would recommend?

I’m disappointed the Sandra Birchmore trial won’t be televised. I’m very interested in seeing the rot that trial will uncover in Canton/Stoughton/MSP. Lots of overlapping people with the KR trial.
OMG watching the Arias trial live was torture. It seemed like every single objection was taken to a sidebar but you can FF through them. Arias and her Sociopathy were on full display. It’s definitely worth watching Juan Martinez tear Jodi down, piece by piece.

It's surreal seeing so many people outside the courthouse being so quiet. Very respectful. Jmo

It looks like they are preparing for press conferences...

If they were deadlocked, wouldn't the judge instruct them to keep trying?

Yep. And Karen is honoring John by standing up to the injustice, IMO.

Yes, she sent them back several times in trial 1. I don’t remember if it was 2 or 3 times.

If they are locked, they’ll be given an Allen charge and sent back to continue deliberating.
