Luck didn't really have anything to do with the millions of dollars she had to spend on them! They are truly a dream team though!! They believed in her; I think they honestly do love her as a person.

Yes, that is true, but what is better is that some of the evidence that wasn't allowed in this court will be allowed in civil court. They also are not looking at her drunk driving as a separate issue. I personally think the civil case is a slam dunk for the defense. They can stand up and say the FBI investigated this case and John wasn't hit by a car.
When the FBI investigation info comes out…. It’s gonna be a wild ride. Just the snippets I’ve seen and heard so far are CRAAAAZY. There’s a reason the FBI recommended NOT pursuing charges against Karen that extend well beyond JO wasn’t hit by a car. JMO.

I was on that from the beginning but have gotten away from it. With all the postponing I'm not sure when the trial is. I'll just start watching not knowing much about it like I did this one.
I like talking to people who didn’t “follow closely”

Their minds are most similar to the minds of the jurors

I don’t know how they’re going to find 12 jurors for the Idaho murders. EVERYONE in the area has to have an opinion

Sorry mods if off topic. Mainly wanted to say i like the perspective of people not following as much as if not more than those following. But i certainly enjoy sleuthing with those following 🥰

No she won't, there is no reason for it. She was found not guilty..double jeopardy and all.
I think reading between the lines, they mean being informally “watched” by the Canton PD.

Yeah like they will look for any excuse - under-inflated tyres or sitting at a table where someone has a bottle of wine.

Oh, yes.
Especially the foreperson.
I want to hear from the juror who always looked like they just rolled out of bed.
I feel a kinship with them.

why would they even watch her, she's not public enemy number one. She is a defendant that was found not guilty. She is not some kind of serial law breaker. If canton pd does anything with it's time, it should be policing itself for drunk drivers. JMOO

This thread is moving fast so I apologize if this is a repeat:

A statement has been released reacting to Wednesday's verdict from several witnesses, including Jennifer McCabe, Matthew McCabe, Chris Albert, Julie Albert, Colin Albert, Nicole Albert, Brian Albert, Kerry Robert, and Curt Roberts. It states the following:

"Today, our hearts are with John and the entire O’Keefe family. They have suffered through so much and deserved better from our justice system. While we may have more to say in the future, today we mourn with John’s family and lament the cruel reality that this prosecution was infected by lies and conspiracy theories spread by Karen Read, her defense team, and some in the media. The result is a devastating miscarriage of justice."
Keeping their stories together until the bitter end, I see.

So true my friend; but also so very sad. I do believe that they have had people whispering in their ear for quite some time now though. I hope now that the verdict is NG, hopefully the corrupt individuals will go on about their lives. I hope that with that disappearance of evil, maybe, perhaps, truth can seep in to their brains. They need to objectively look at all of the evidence they have seen presented by the defense. However, we know that people just sometimes can't accept things when a loved one passes.
I also hope they consider that another jury insinuated NG for all except OUI, right? They just didn’t know how to fill out the form, right?

If 2 the 2 juries felt the same way, I pray they reconsider what some in town may be whispering in their ears.

And how many that are actually guilty but get away with murder because they have a dream team.
I think data would show many many more have been convicted that do not have a dream team than those who are set free because they are wealthy. Many more!

Thankfully, she doesn't live in Canton.

Hopefully KR is considering leaving Massachusetts.

I hope the O'Keefe family thinks long and hard before proceeding with the civil case. It will prove nothing...even if they win what do they really win? They are taking valuable time from their lives. Mr. John Sr. looks like he is ready to fall over...does not look well and Peggy needs to release some of her hate. It is enough all ready. Out of all the people that night that drove and drank that night KR is the only one held accountable for it. That should be enough. Paul too needs to move on with his life. John has children that deserve to live lives without a court case hanging over.
Well said.

Will she need to stay in Mass to report for the probation though?

BBM Yes! They deserved so much more from the justice system. The case should have been properly and thoroughly investigated. It was not. Karen deserved justice too! She found it today💕

It would have been respectful of them to at least release their garbage statement after the O'Keefe family has a chance to speak first, IMO.
Seems like they likely had a Guilty statement and Not Guilty statement ready to go. Once again inserting themselves where they don’t belong, IMO

I want to know where Chloe the dog is now. They say she was rehomed, but who now has her?
IMO I can't help but think if Chole is responsible for the dog bite wounds on JOK's arm, she might just be an unsung hero that contributed to the reasonable doubt in the case.

I think they are about to find out about the "episode" Matt M spoke about if Karen did not plea.
FAFO time/ fingers crossed

I would have preferred one final statement from the ceiling fan instead.

I also disagree with their statement in that, IMO, the investigation in of itself, and thereby the very case and evidence that the prosecutors come to rely on, was already compromised or infected by important factors such as police misconduct as exhibited by Proctor, misogyny, the use snow blowers and red plastic cups used to collect forensic evidence, confirmation bias and the lack of integrity exhibited among, some, though not all, of the investigators and their superiors while on the job. Getting justice for a victim depends on the quality, ethics and competency of the work performed by the investigators. Unfortunately some investigators, like Proctor, were not up to par when it came to getting justice for John.

Still I hope they reopen this case so that his family can finally learn what happened to him and John O’Keefe can finally get justice.
