This thread is moving fast so I apologize if this is a repeat:

A statement has been released reacting to Wednesday's verdict from several witnesses, including Jennifer McCabe, Matthew McCabe, Chris Albert, Julie Albert, Colin Albert, Nicole Albert, Brian Albert, Kerry Robert, and Curt Roberts. It states the following:

"Today, our hearts are with John and the entire O’Keefe family. They have suffered through so much and deserved better from our justice system. While we may have more to say in the future, today we mourn with John’s family and lament the cruel reality that this prosecution was infected by lies and conspiracy theories spread by Karen Read, her defense team, and some in the media. The result is a devastating miscarriage of justice."
This is rich. They would have been far better off staying silent.

Will she need to stay in Mass to report for the probation though?
Depends on the terms of her probation. Some require no alcohol/drugs, no weapons, etc... I don't think she'll be releasing the details once she meets with her probation officer, but you never know.

When the FBI investigation info comes out…. It’s gonna be a wild ride. Just the snippets I’ve seen and heard so far are CRAAAAZY. There’s a reason the FBI recommended NOT pursuing charges against Karen that extend well beyond JO wasn’t hit by a car. JMO.
I was teasing my husband. I said "can you hear that?" He said what?
I said, "I could hear all of ARCCA cheering!!!" 🤣😅🤣

Sometimes the requirements are listed in the docket.

Seems like they likely had a Guilty statement and Not Guilty statement ready to go. Once again inserting themselves where they don’t belong, IMO
Inserting themselves yet again is very telling!

I feel like justice was done here. And if the state wants to look anywhere about what went wrong, they need to start with LE.
Absolutely!

It would have been respectful of them to at least release their garbage statement after the O'Keefe family has a chance to speak first, IMO.

What does this mean?
They sure had to write that fast to replace their prepared statement for when KR was found guilty ?
Informing us that they have more lies to spew?
Anyone else notice who was missing?
Brian Higgins. lol

imo

No Brian Higgins on that joint statement. Interesting.

Was it just me but was the reading of the verdict confusing in itself?
It was a total out of body experience trying to figure it out. I actually had to watch what the defendant was doing to see that it was not guilty on the serious charges.

I want to know where Chloe the dog is now. They say she was rehomed, but who now has her?
Chloe first went to a woman named Riley who has a farm in Vermont.
For some unknown reasons she then went to live with a veterinarian and could still be in Vermont?

Yes, it was. The foreperson or whoever read the verdict, did not speak loudly or clearly. I was apalled. Everyone was waiting to hear thd verdict, speak up, for goodness sake , you could not clearly hear him ! I immediately thought how could thus meek person be qualified to lead a Jury ? Be assertive and clearly speak your verdict on this trial.

This is harsh. Everyone has said that the acoustics inside that courtroom are vastly different than what comes across on television, due to the way the microphones are set up for broadcast. I doubt there was a live mic placed by the jury box. So that's why it was hard to hear to hear the foreman, not that he was meek or whatever.

What a day for American Justice!! Despite the overwhelming favoritism shown by this court, this judge and this DA's office, justice was served in my opinion. Karen Read is in fact innocent. A fact many, many people have known for a very long time. It is very seldom a defendant in a murder trial walks away free. ( yeah I know she got a OUI, big deal compared to a murder conviction) Yet today we saw it.

The sad fact remains that someone murdered John O'Keefe and that person or persons are still at large. Considering the 100% undisputed facts in this case that proved beyond a reasonable doubt that John O'Keefe was not hit by a car it is of my own opinion that there are a lot of people that need to look in the mirror and ask themselves why they allowed this trial to go forward and completely ignored the science in the 1st place?

What was it that forced such biased opinions that allowed some other culprit(s) to get away with murder? Was it blind faith in law enforcement? Was it the absolute hatred for someone whom they have never met in person? Are these people comfortable with the fact that their hatred, biased opinions and ignorance of science almost put an innocent person in jail? Are these people comfortable with the fact that there is someone(s) living amongst them that are perfectly capable of murder and framing an innocent woman? This murderer is living among the community. You may be standing next to them in the store. You might be behind them at a traffic light. That person(s) is more than capable of doing it again. And you very well be their next victim. That should scare you.

What should scare one more is that the police in this trial acted abhorrently. They behaved without a minimal standard of police conduct. They broke their own rules. They lied on the stand. They lied to the Feds. They lied to each other. They covered for each other. So now you have a murderer(S) walking amongst you and you absolutely, positively can not trust the police there to do the right thing about that. That should be terrifying. Rage should not be pointed at Karen Read. It should be pointed elsewhere. And in my opinion the 1st place one should be looking for answers to where rage should be pointed to is a mirror. It ALL starts there in my opinion.

Karen Read is FREE!! Thankfully!! I hope she has round the clock security for the foreseeable future. There have been open threats on her life and that should not happen. This case, this trial is over. No amount of complaining and whining is ever going to change that. Karen Read did not do this.

That did come out super fast, that 'getting out ahead of it'. I think other agencies are going to 'have more' to say in the future, dear letter writer. IMO

Inserting themselves yet again is very telling!
Right? Somehow Karen is attention seeking for communicating on the topic of her own trial.
Meanwhile, this group of assorted losers is shamelessly inserting themselves into a case where their involvement should end after they finish lying through their witness testimony. Completely bizarre behavior from this cabal.

Was amazed to return in from yard work and get the news on the verdict in this second trial of KR…… Thanks to all that followed here on it. It has been quite a journey. And neither simple nor short.

Sending this to the jurors who IMO from their questions and diligence are so deserving. Seems they carefully reviewed what was presented to them. MOO

It’s been great following this along with all of you. I am out of town today and was able to stream on my phone the verdict but haven’t been able to be on the forums today. What a great day for Karan, her family and team. Seeing Yanetti get so emotional made me emotional. I do feel so bad for John’s family, they were so invested her guilt it seemed. I hope they can find some peace.

Stay tuned because hopefully the foreperson will sit for an interview.
Everything that has been reported about his demeanor is far from "meek", very far.
