Was it just me but was the reading of the verdict confusing in itself?

Sorry if I wasnt clear, I am talking about when KR first spoke with attorney Yannetti about .... David, what if...
Perhaps you're not familiar with her questions to him.
He told her she has an element of culpability, she took three days to think about it.

Imo, she (not being judgy) would have been better to admit wrongdoing. Would have probably required to pay a fine. Done.

I do not think she is guilty of OUI only.

I dont believe (moo) the jury is anywhere near M2.
Imo, manslaughter- maybe.
Maybe a verdict coming since the verdict slip recently adjusted.

I thought she never had a chance to just admit wrongdoing, as you said. She was charged with MURDER from almost the very beginning! No fine for that! Pleading guilty (admitting wrongdoing) would have had her convicted for murder, right? AFAIK, she never had an option to admit wrongdoing for just drunk driving alone.

ETA or even to "just" manslaughter alone either

YES. Extremely confusing. Foreperson didn't know how to read the verdict at all. The judge told them she couldn't answer their questions, so we can't really expect otherwise...

It’s sad to think of how many poor people have been wrongly convicted because they don’t have the means for a great legal team
And how many that are actually guilty but get away with murder because they have a dream team.

Yes, it sure was. Just one more SNAFU to end this three year snafu parade. 😂

Will there be a press conference?

And now if she appeals OUI, she’s been acquitted of the other charges. So it would NOT put manslaughter back on the table if she appeals the OUI!!!!

I feel really bad that John OKeefe is dead and his “friends” were either responsible or helped cover up the truth. Karen is not a saint but she has received justice, finally. But the CW of Mass is a mess and they should all resign. I think their hands are all dirty.

I think they got it wrong but have to respect the process and their decision

Yes, I would bet my life on it. Why would the judge tell the attorney's they need a date for the sentencing and ask if they could do it next week?
Some sources are saying she was sentenced today, others say she will be sentenced at a later date

They answered let’s do it now and it was decided there and then.

The other thing pleading guilty would do is EXACTLY what the crooks wanted. Plead guilty, case closed. Now, if the CW really wants justice, they will insist on a real investigation and find who did this. If they don’t pursue, further confirmation it’s protecting their own.
