Yes I’ve rewatched so many times and she did say thank you jurors for your service. You are dismissed and I’ll talk to you more soon.To be fair, I believe I did hear her thank them. And talking to them briefly in private is standard for a case like this.
Wasn't there a cop manspreading sitting beside Peggy yesterday in court. He had a suit on and his legs were spread so far, he was almost touching Peg. He was taking up a lot of the bench. At his funeral there were tons of cops from all over the place. No cops showed up in court with John’s family. No show of support from any police. There was room because there were always empty seats, you’d think a cop that worked with John would show up once in a while for support but it seemed to always be Peggy, Paul, the ex girlfriend, his best friend, a cousin or two.
I don't think anyone believes it was intentional murder. Was it ever theorized why he was assaulted and murdered that night? Why was he murdered?
I think in time someone will talk in that town. They don’t seem like a very stable bunch. Jill Daniels….whoahThank goodness the jury got it right! This has been such a bizarre witch hunt and unfortunately we'll never know the real story of how he got all those injuries.
Heading that way myself. Celebrating the Not Guilty verdict has worn me out too. So happy for KR.Taking these not guilty verdicts and heading to bed with a smile on my face.
It's been a crazy couple of trials, but it's done.
Hopefully there is some investigation going on behind the scenes, so that the truth about what happened to JOK finally comes out.
Goodnight.
He is also appealing his dismissal.... so he is making lame excuses for his own behaviour, and still insisting that the investigation was good.IOW he's not repentant at all, is grieving the loss of his beloved job, minimizing his "jokes" and hasn't learned much of anything in a year. Despicable human.
MOO
IMO, I do think we might hear more about what happened in that house. I have hope because someone called in the tip to investigate the folks in the house. Now that the trial is over, some folks might feel a little freer to ‘talk’. In addition, I think this case will (if it hasn’t already) attract people who want to get justice for John O’Keefe and start digging around on their own like podcasters, retired investigators, documentary filmmakers, etc. I wouldn’t doubt Turtleboy won’t have someone reach out to him bc of the way he championed KR. IMO.Thank goodness the jury got it right! This has been such a bizarre witch hunt and unfortunately we'll never know the real story of how he got all those injuries.
I don't think you understand how this works. The defense does not need to prove HOW JOK got a head injury. The CW DID have to prove that KR hit him and either directly or indirectly caused it.I know her explanation but it was not plausible. Why would someone guilty return to the scene of he crime? your not aware it's extremely common?
So the dog caused his head injury? it's a red herring irrelevant. Claiming his head would was not consistent with being hit by a car is flat out wrong. An expert testified it was consistent and you shouldn't need an expert to tell you major blunt force trauma is consistent with being hit by a car.
If he was not by car, what is the alternative option? <modsnip - personalizing>
Geez, he made the same as Aperture. He lost the case but won the lottery with this trial.I’m seeing articles stating Hank will have made in excess of $400,000.00 after he submits his final invoices for being the special prosecutor on this case, that’s a lot of money for an oui conviction
Where have you been the last 3 years while this case was working it's way through the court system? I honestly don't understand popping in now to try and get some discussion going when it. is. over. She is not guilty. The points you bring up have been discussed ad nauseum and people are tired. The jury did not think the reasonable doubt in this case was "nonsense" since they found her not guilty. You obviously don't agree with the verdict but that won't change the fact that 12 people who sat through over a month of testimony found her NOT GUILTY.All the reasonable doubt you listed was nonsense. You have reasonable doubt because there was no blood on the car when that was not required in the slightest for the prosecution theory just demonstrates this. Might as well say he had no broken bones therefore he was not hit by a car, reasonable doubt!!
You didn't follow it in detail, but you know who did? The jury. The defense claim he was placed outside with a fresh head wound, so the bleeding should have continued unless a person bleeds only a very short amount of time from a serious head would. There is a lot of assumption on how much bleeding should be expected from that wound in that weather, again it's a grey zone.
I did not follow the trial in microscopic detail, so I am refreshing some facts in the trial. The smoke and mirrors are obvious, though along with her guilt. <modsnip - off topic>
seriously why is that. poster banging on about a case that has been decided? Two medical examiners disagree with you.
IT just did !!!!!! Trooper Paul. HahaShe was acquitted. She is Free. A jury of her peers found her not guilty. There absolutely, positively have been conclusive arguments to everything you have had questions for. I pointed you in a direction where you can go and gather more in depth analysis to your arguments since you yourself said, "I did not follow the trial in microscopic detail". I was thinking since you did not follow the case as in depth as some of the other posters here, and that since you just showed up here after the case was over that you might be able to gain more insight into this case and how a majority of the people on this site arrived at their conclusions.
Thank you for explaining to me the intricate workings of " IT" and how " IT" works though. Have a blessed night.![]()
His eyes when he dabbed them.Would you mind summarizing what was covered by Proctor.
Alternative option one: He was knocked backward or fell backward and hit his head on the concrete step in the garage.I know her explanation but it was not plausible. Why would someone guilty return to the scene of he crime? your not aware it's extremely common?

I haven't followed this case diligently like other stalwarts here, but enough so, here and in MSM (het 1st trial & this retrial, both the REAL miscarriages of justice IMO), to garner the takeaway that Karen was framed, or a patsy as they called it back in the day, for her beloved partner's death.Wow!
I haven't followed this case at all. But it sounds like the evidence just was not there and it sounded like a police cover up IMO.
A bit different from LE becoming fixated on having the person responsible.
Was it that clear to everyone what happened?
He has been there a lot, friend of JOK's. We didn't know JOK personally, but just have the feeling he would of seen through all of this and not stood for it. His inner sense of justice seemed strong.. IMOWasn't there a cop manspreading sitting beside Peggy yesterday in court. He had a suit on and his legs were spread so far, he was almost touching Peg. He was taking up a lot of the bench.
