She has Crohn's . So she went home. It was close enough.
Plus so what she didn't want to go to the afterparty.
Busy thinking about John's kids it seemed like to me.
Its not ironic at all IMO.
what is ironic is if JOK had agreed with her and she drove home none of this would have ever happened. This was not a group that KR knew well and it sounded like JOK was more drunk than she was. I am always stunned when I hear this quote from Peg O'Keefe saying some thing to KR like "you just left him there"?? Let just say he got out of the car and she saw him go to the door..next looks over there and he is gone I would leave too. He was a big boy that wanted to go to this party...she wanted to go home. She knew he could get home when he wanted. Why was Peg so outraged??? Clearly I think Peg did not like KR long before the events of that night.

It was proven that she really didn't Google it at 2:30am, she did it when Karen asked her to closer to 6:30am.
No it wasn’t. The FBI knew she had done the search at 2.27am
It was cited by AJ at pre trial hearing. I believe the judge wouldn’t allow it to be admitted as it was ‘prejudicial’

Timestamp 16:54

It’s interesting too that it was the only deleted search JMcC had made that morning, along with her selected deletion of a number of ‘butt dials’.

also why search how long to die in the snow - wouldn’t it be more likely to search how long can someone survive in the snow? Did JMcC have want him to die so he couldn’t tell what had really happened?

I'm on the fence as to whether John wanted to party or whether he specifically wanted to confront Higgins. The reason I lean towards the latter is because it must have happened right after his arrival and I can see something bad happening immediately if he started in on Higgins when he encountered him, possibly in or near the garage.

As for Peggy, I agree. My guess is also she never liked Karen. Karen is obviously a strong personality and a woman of independent means. High income, new Lexus, owned a large, lovely home in the suburbs. Maybe not the sort of trad woman she had in mind for her Johnny.

She likely wanted to know when would be a good time to put him outside.

just meant ironic that if they had just gone home as she wanted, he would probably be alive... of course we do not know what other parties or events would have occurred by now

Oh this is going to melt the Karen Read haters and I'm here for every single second of this!!

" After being found not guilty in a high-profile murder trial, Karen Read and her lead defense attorney, Alan Jackson, are teaming up with LBI Entertainment (“Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Hell or High Water”) to develop a scripted project with new insight into her story."

I recall Brennan citing "24D" Disposition for the OUI which is mandatory alcohol education, and 45- day license suspension. I believe this applies to first-time offenders.
You're right. I heard differently but then saw the same as you're saying.

"In an hour-long, in-depth special, our team of reporters brings you reaction to the verdict, one-on-one interviews on both sides of the case, and talk about what’s next for the people involved'.

I would love to know how people here would feel IF the 2:27 search actually happened at 2:27am. IF Google really does prove that time instead of the data confusion testimony the CW relied on, would that change your mind on her innocence? If the mind gymnastics that the “expert” performed could be proven wrong with one simple request to Google; how would that change your perspective.

Definitely agree 100% with the verdict. As I read this post I said to myself ok now KR and AJ's silence makes sense. I have some real mixed feelings about the media blitz of the attorneys. I assume it makes sense for AJ to recoup some money from his work this past 3 years.

I assume this has been mentioned before but EDB did a recap of jurors' comments. It seems that we were a bit closer to a hung jury on OUI as the foreman did speak about it. Seems one juror at lunch said he was not certain and could he have a bit more time. That was the we have a verdict and then we don't have a verdict. I sort of thought talking about that was off limits but he spoke. Now I am sure media will be trying to find that juror. It seems names are not sealed. EDB thinks names should probably just be sealed and if they want to come forward they can.

Also it seems that there will be a bookl/movie deal per the same Variety article.
"Plans are simultaneously underway for a book project with involvement from both Read and Jackson. The publishing rights are being repped by top literary agent Luke Janklow of Janklow & Nesbit. CAA is representing the film/television rights."

So leaves me wondering are Bob and David just left to do the YT circuit with non paying gigs and maybe some sort of collaboration for Podcast or do they have a "guest appearance" deal with AJ and KR in their productions?
No wonder AJ and KR have been so quiet. AJ did a great job for KR but he is very hollywood and I am sure has the perfect contacts for all of this.

The reality of people making profit off the death of JOK must be very hard for the family. Not the best look to go public with this now.

I know Judge Cannone entered an Order to impound the names of the jurors-- citing fears by the first trial jurors. I'd think the Court would have moved to make this permanent and where jurors are free to come forward on their own.

I honestly don't know if the names are sealed for this trial. EDB spoke as if they were not. Even if sealed media has ways of finding them...if someone you know is gone for over 8 weeks from work on jury duty it is pretty easy to speculate and people talk. Even family might give media a tip. Hard to suppress much of anything these days.

to reply to my own thread as I think about it the McCabes and Alberts going on that show probably made some money too so guess they are all in the $$$ game...also that is what the civil suit is about.

Yep!! Her name is MUDD now, IMO. The 'world' saw her in action. How she can recover from this and still maintain respect is a huge question. I seriously doubt she will be returning to the bench for any length of time. In other news.....I wonder who will portray her in the 'Movie'......
Rosie O’Donnell

A quick google shows the jurors names were impounded on June 16 th and then recently on June 26 th sealed indefinitely. See article below.
If the family of a juror is tipping off the press - I suspect that juror may have a bigger issue than the media.

i think the jurors that have spoken seem to want to talk and probably came forward on their own. Much easier when you see your verdict is popular in the community.

BBM above
In the process of being unjustly accused and tried twice for a crime she did not committ - Karen has more than bankrupted herself, her house is gone , her 401k is gone, her car is gone and on and on. I think her family also is in a similar situation altho I do not know the details. Into middle age, Karen is living at her parents house bc of this fiasco.

Everything she worked for in her adult life has been stripped from her bc she needed to defend herself from baseless charges. Its an outrage to me. I cannot imagine. I am thankful she had
the support of her parents.

There will always be those ( inc prob the OK's)who call her a cop killer and criticize her every move.
Let them ! ( see Mel Robbins )

Karen knows who she is and thats what's important.
I don't think she is worried about what would be "a good look" - she is ready to get back to having a life. And if that means making money from telling her story and sharing the
Injustice of the Legal System and the Corruptipn of LE - I am definitley here for it.
Shining a light in to the dark corners is never a bad thing in my book.

It's her story .... who better to tell it ?
