Despite what some are wanting to claim, the evidence presented (by BOTH sides) proved JOK was not hit by a vehicle. Not by KR's -- nor by anyone else's either.
JOK injuries were NOT consistent with what injuries from being hit by a vehicle look like. Everyone who testified said the same thing, and many had YEARS of seeing injuries from many kinds of things including pedestrians struck by vehicles. OTOH, the injuries to the arm were made by a dog attack, according to everyone who testified about the injuries from BOTH sides. Those are the facts.
The injuries and scene showed he must NOT have died on the lawn. Thats also a fact. How he got there, and who killed him, are unknown.
Once we see that truth, then who killed him and where? I think JOK deserves to have the case pursued.
To me, the obvious place is to look in the house. Do we know that's the answer, before we even look? No -- because no one looked!!! But heck, why not look and see? Take a close look at the people in the house that night (Higgins, McCabe, Albert, etc) who he was going to see, and with the trial offering evidence from both sides pointing to the likelihood he went in the house or garage.
Wait, they even have a dog, known to attack people? Wait, they gave jinky conflicting answers (including lies) and said things that pointed to trying to "get our stories straight"? Wait, they even did odd repair work on the house in areas that would be most likely to be where JOK was killed?
Like I said, we don't know who killed JOK and how and exactly where -- but we do KNOW it was not by KR vehicle (or anyone else's) and it did not happen on the lawn. So follow the evidence.
If the buddies of Higgins, McCabe, Albert, etc want them to EVER be seen as not the killers, then the only way to do it is to investigate, because the prior investigation gave WRONG answers. The fact they are objecting loudly tells me they have lots to hide, but hopefully an investigation will happen, one that this time gives real answers (whatever they may be). I want justice for JOK.
