Thanks!Ted Daniel and Peter Tragos from the Lawyer You Know discuss Jackson's letter.
Peter said since Dever was detailed about the meeting with Cox he's going with her version that they did meet.Ted Daniel and Peter Tragos from the Lawyer You Know discuss Jackson's letter.
He doesn't say he didn't meet with her lol
Cox quickly answered, “I have nothing to do with Karen Read. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even know this person was associated with the Karen Read case.
I really wish that someone had asked him why he did meet with her then?
Going scorched earth! More to come I hope. Great!![]()
25 Investigates: Read defense demands Boston officer be placed on ‘Brady List’
The letter, addressed to Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox and obtained exclusively by 25 Investigates, alleges Officer Kelly Dever’s credibility is “irreparably compromised”.www.boston25news.com
" A Boston Police officer who testified in Karen Read’s murder retrial is now the subject of a scathing letter from Read’s defense attorney, Alan Jackson, who is demanding she be added to Boston’s “Brady List” for officers with credibility issues. \Deserved..they lied and connived while KR AND HER TEAM and her family had to live in massive fear and stress for so long.. The others DID NOT. Scorch that earth please. I mean the massive time and incredible amount of hours of the team, interns, all involved in proving her innocence. Her personal stress and fear /worry for her parents and family.. Loss of her career, home, all of her losses and of course, JOK and his niece and nephew relationship, wherever it would of taken them in the future.. not like this. BECAUSE WHY????????Going scorched earth! More to come I hope. Great!
It doesn't get more brutal than this for Dever. Her career is over IMO I think a lot of us said that after her testimony![]()

I have not listened to it... But THIS... this is what I said last night. Another poster shared an article about Cox... the guy seems like a good guy and someone that would back her if what she said was the truth and she stuck to her statement to the FBI, it's quite possible she misread the "support".Peter said since Dever was detailed about the meeting with Cox he's going with her version that they did meet.
Peter then did a hypothetical giving the benefit of the doubt to Cox and that Dever misinterpreted the conversation with Cox and that he was just cheering on all his officers and to do their best w/o mentioning KR's name but then why would KD have been called to Cox's office if not for her statements to the FBI which incriminated BH & KB and the upcoming trial?
imo

“Your name came up during the recent Karen Read trial. You got a visit from Officer Kelly Dever. The defense implied you influenced her testimony. Do you want to respond to that?” Cox was asked.
Cox quickly answered, “I have nothing to do with Karen Read. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even know this person was associated with the Karen Read case.
“I have an organization full of over 3,000 people, and we support all our folks. The reality is that I get information passed on, whether those people are high or low, and I encourage everyone,” Cox continued. “If you want to work here and you belong here, then we’re going to encourage you. I have no idea what they’re talking about with Karen Read. I had nothing to do with Karen Read, no discussion about Karen Read.”
Cox was then asked, “Did you tell Officer Dever to do the right thing?”
“I didn’t know she was even associated with that case,” Cox answered. “I was struck like, ‘What do I have to do with the Karen Read case?’ I’ve never said those words together. So, the fact is it’s much to do about nothing.”
I, I, I, I didn’t know anything. I have nothing to do with Karen Read, I didn’t know she was even associated with the case, I’ve never said those words-together…
A lot of emphasis on him doing nothing wrong!
He was still employed in Michigan when the JOK case began. He did not start working back in Boston until August of that year. It seems he was saying he was not as deeply involved as he would have been if he had been in Boston. As important as the JOK case is, as commissioner he has a lot more on his plate than the details of who was involved. Also, the " I was in Michigan !" statement.
Umm....what?
Dude is in over his head....IMO
Two of his employees were involved in a murder investigation, plus another was expected to testify, so I believe Cox had to become involved to the extent that all of his other 3000 employees would have been deeply affected by the circumstances of losing a colleague, and knowing that another was implicated in a murder, and then Dever gets hired and is immediately involved in making statements to the FBI that she saw suspicious behavior from other cops.He was still employed in Michigan when the JOK case began.
