Here's a quote from the Boston Magazine article

...in the months following the loss of his sister, his brother-in-law, and his friend—a time when it seemed as though the light in his eyes had all but been extinguished. When people asked him how he was coping, he’d answer that he’d tell himself that none of it was real. “It’s only a movie,” I remember he used to say. “It’s only a movie.”
This is really sad IMO. I’m not an expert by any means but it sounds like he was disassociating as a way to cope with trauma or major depression. Jmo

I wonder how the OKeefe’s feel hearing that Brian Albert couldn’t be bothered to go outside and render aid after knowing their son was gravely injured on his lawn?
They’ve known this from day one. I think they’re blinded by a few things. Supposedly not having much relationship with JO combined with desire for financial windfall due to his death has IMO clouded their judgment.

Where was Chris's wife. Hiding? Too emotional for her because of a secret that this group is hiding? Oh I think so.
I believe Chris Albert’s wife, Nicole Albert texted to Michael Proctor her gratitude for his help and that they (she) would be getting him a gift for this help. I remember that from T1. Sound familiar?

Julie is Chris's wife. Colin's mommy. She wanted to get Proctor a gift for all his help. Help with what exactly? A fair guess would be for framing Read and getting the heat off her son.

I hope KR writes a book. There are some interesting family dynamics that were not allowed here WS - but are enlightening and show the hypocrisy and greed of people in the immediate circle. And, I’d like to know what Colin’s beef with John was all about. Did Jen have her eye on JO? Were there affairs going on? Just what did Higgins tell the McAlberts about his texts (tryst?) with KR? Why the heck did the DA spend so many resources on this? Who was in whose pocket? I’m sure what was presented in court barely scratched the surface of what was really going on. With the help of Canton insiders, this tome would be another ‘Peyton Place.’

Big oops. Chris Albert’s wife is JULIE ALBERT NOT NICOLE.
So sorry.

The main question we want to know is why, why the intense need for the Alberts and company NOT be touched in this 'investigation/trial. Convicting Karen Reid, or anyone else, would ensure that the Alberts family would be safe from being found the killers, one way or another, of Officer John O'Keefe. Period. Starting with D.A. Morrison, downward. Interference, anything to throw the jurors into confusion in the first and the 2nd. Anything to sway the jurors that the defense were 'pathetic' and not to take anything from them or their specialists seriously. BLATANT. The need for exposure of this reason is MASSIVE, hence, the MASSIVE need to makes sure Karen Reid was convicted. It started immediately. If it was the plow driver and that story was accepted by all, still, no need to look at the Alberts, whose lawn JOK was found. All in the timing of who and when JOK was found as 'Tell them the guy never came in the house' per Matt McCabe, when in a group chat texts with the party house people and a reporter was in Chris Albert's pizza place, again, getting out ahead of 'it'. He also said, if she pleas it's over, if she fights it, it's an episode.' I always have to say, 'what in the world was it to YOU, Matt?' IMO

I love Dateline but this coverage was so one sided. And I didn’t realize Sue O’Connell wasn’t impartial.
Who was the heavy set female speaking for the O'Keefe family?
She tried, but failed to, suppress her bitterness

The story of this murder is inseparable from the story of the town. Was it the head of the town police department who was making 300,000+ a year? Boggles my brain. I hope an Ann Rule quality writer tackles it.

I know they were previously aware. But it sounded callous during the interview for him to say so flippantly he wasn’t going out in his underwear. Also that he wasn’t Canton PD, like nope off the clock here. I’m not related to JOK and that was hard to hear.

@ 7:28 the juror said she can't talk much about what went on in the deliberation room because Judge Cannone told them not to talk about what went on in there.

IIRC There would have to be a court order to silence the jurors and/or if there was any kind of top secret information during the trial, national security issues etc the judge them could tell the jury not to speak about certain topics/info.

But to tell the jurors do not speak about what went on?

IMO
