I believe when a defendant contradicts herself it should be seriously considered, JMO
When the defendant allegedly contradicts herself.

Uploaded this morning.

Bederow referred to and highly praised an Andrea quite a few times throughout the trial but I'm not sure if this is her?

Talk about sour grapes and lack of class - As we know from experience that's HB for you. If he had the evidence that pointed to KR being guilty - Well Hank, where is it . He certainly did not present it at trial.

Seems Hank followed the evidence no matter where it led - just not into the garage or the house on fairview.

The motions he filed to supress evidence and keep pertinent evidence and xpert witness out of that courtroom were seemingly endless and daily.

Hank you lost. Big Time. YOU. LOST. Nothing to do with social media or TB. You did not bring it! Period.

You are just another tone deaf guy who did a big BELLY FLOP in court for the world to see.

You even became confused about your role/identity nearing the end of the trial - Prosecutor /Defense/Prosector which was it ? Kind of like Norman Bates' confusion about his mother ...Mother /Norman?Mother ?

Hank, Take a seat

JMO
Brennan acknowledges that he did not conduct an independent INVESTIGATION: he was limited to a review of the results of the deeply flawed investigations, that focused early on KR to the exclusion of alternative lines of inquiry. His attempt to sell his role as "independent" and therefore free of taint is a non-starter with anyone familiar with the case.

Good morning. This is the statement from Special Prosecutor Hank Brennan on the Karen Read verdict:“I am disappointed in the verdict and the fact that we could not achieve justice for John O’Keefe and his family. District Attorney Michael Morrissey appointed me, giving me full discretion to independently assess the case and follow the evidence no matter where it led. After an independent and thorough review of all the evidence, I concluded that the evidence led to one person, and only one person. Neither the closed federal investigation nor my independent review led me to identify any other possible suspect or person responsible for the death of John O’Keefe. The campaign of intimidation and abuse that has been waged, funded, and promoted in public and on social media is the antithesis of justice. If this type of conduct becomes commonplace, it will threaten the integrity of our judicial system, affecting both victims and criminally accused. We cannot condone witness abuse, causing participants to worry for their own safety or that of their families. It is my hope that with the verdict, the witnesses and their families will be left alone. The harassment of these innocent victims and family members is deplorable and should never happen again in a case in this Commonwealth. My heartfelt condolences to the O’Keefe family and faith that over the coming years they will find peace and closure.”Hank Brennan

Well he has ruined his chances of being elected as the new DA. The jury has spoken Hank.

It is remarkable to me that per juror 11 quite a number came into deliberations thinking they would vote guilty. More were unsure and I think 6 were in NG mode from the start. Seems almost impossible per the lack of evidence of collision. I also thought it was interesting from reports that it was KR that wanted the guilty of OUI included. I have to wonder if that was so that anyone feeling they needed to hold her accountable for something would have an escape valve? If it was not there could they have gone with something higher up? Will never know but I think in retrospect it was a good idea....something about the JOK family there daily and at least they got a small something.

Arguably, it should never be about whether the victim's family agrees with the outcome or not. And based on what I've heard from the jurors who came forth (especially 11) I don't think that's why the jury found her guilty of OUI.

I think there will always be jurors in this sort of situation who feel someone who drives drunk should be punished, even though there was no actual collision here. Because of the clips of Read that the judge allowed in, Karen more or less admitted to drunk driving.

It was a good move, IMO. The people who "didn't like her" got to find her guilty of a far lesser charge which carries no jail time while still feeling good about the decision they made not to convict her of killing anyone.

I keep seeing the abbreviation, CW. What does that mean?

CW is abbreviation for Commonwealth. MA is legally known as a state, but 'The Commonwealth' is their preffered verbiage. Old school..

Thanks for the suggestion! I’m watching now. This is the first trial that I’ve followed so closely, so forgive my question. Is there usually such an online backlash against jurors by people who disagree with their verdict? I can’t believe AKR people are doxxing, threatening, and lying about the jurors. Their reactions are so over the top that even if I believed KR had anything to do with JOK’s death, I would be disgusted by their behavior and try to distance myself from them. MOO.
It happens, but this case seems to have a big 'online' following. Usually when I watch a trial, once the verdict is read, I follow for a few days and I am over it. This one, has kept my interest, I wanted to know what was important to the jurors and what wasn't, with the evidence that they were presented with, so have been keeping up with the interviews.

It is not lost on me that if they had found her guilty that I think the same thing would be helping in reverse. It's just not okay at all, with any verdict. They just did their job with the information they were given. Unfortunately, in this case, the jurors are on the "wrong side", so I doubt LE will be as quick to hold those accountable that are doing the harassing and doxxing.

John Adams opted to designate MA a commonwealth in the state constitution back in the 1780s.

Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Virginia are also CWs.

What a travesty. I'm extremely sorry for John's family and friends, the pain in knowing that she got away with throwing an enraged and drunken tantrum with a 4,000 lb vehicle killing their loved one. The evidence was clearly there to convict on Manslaughter while Driving Intoxicated and Leaving the Scene. Too bad the jurors were either unable to see the truth beyond the falsehoods, the hype and the false celebrity or too scared by the probable repercussions from her adoring fans. This is ALL just my opinion.

Except that's not what happened. The travesty is that his family was led to believe that's what happened.

The Australian federal government is a commonwealth, Australia's formal name is the Commonwealth of Australia, despite remaining a constitutional monarchy. I'm used to the term of commonwealth being used for the federal government not a state. It is also used to describe the grouping of current and former British countries, as the Commonwealth of Nations, which runs the Commonwealth Games.

It's first use was for the British Republic, after the British civil war (aka The War of the Three Kingdoms) during Cromwell's time running Britian.

The trial is over now. Truth was seen despite all the ways attempted to divert it we saw. Some will not be happy for their own reasons but it does get old as it is over and just. Don't know what to tell them if they did see and listen to both trials and scientific evidence and proof of tampering in general. There are lots of missing people and trials about to start on WS which will be worth that watch. IMO

Stuff that is deleted on computers can often be recovered. Would love the FBI to go into Canton PD and get some forensic IT people to see what can be recovered from their computers (especially any device used by Michael Proctor.)

That's why you dispose of your items on a military base dumpster, so no one can get it, just like Brian Higgins coincidentally did with his phone and SIM card after JoK's death
