If you read those texts closely, there had definitely been something going on between BH and Read. They were flirting heavily in the texts, basically using texts after an impulsive kiss one night, to feel each other out in that awkward way where you are interested but don't want to be too transparent about your feelings. Both were interested. Neither said no. Both wanted more. Each wanted the other to be more openly aggressive. Both knew "I have flaws" and as experienced adults were clearly being wary as a result. Lot's of expressions of being free to do as they pleased. Many comments about drinking, but it sounded more like their social construct ("join me for a drink" and "do you have anything there to drink" and "are you going out for a drink") to enable uncommitted -but-exploring interaction than a desperate desire to consume alcohol.

It stands to reason they moved from texting to communicating by phone calls, and then talking (and more) in person. Reading between the lines (where there are gaps in texting), there had definitely been some sort of relationship that included meeting up at her house, his, or both. But did they continue to chase each other, or did things between them flame out quickly? Not enough here to answer that.

All that having been said, it doesn't really explain how JOK died, since he wasn't hit by her vehicle. But it does make me want to know way more about Higgins' actions that night.

A Dracut woman who sat on the federal grand jury that investigated the state’s handling of Karen Read’s murder case has been charged with criminal contempt for allegedly leaking information about the secret proceedings.

Jessica M. Leslie, 34, was charged Friday in federal court in Boston with one count of criminal contempt and has agreed to plead guilty, according to an announcement Tuesday by US Attorney Leah B. Foley and Ted E. Docks, special agent-in-charge of the FBI’s Boston office.

A plea agreement signed by Leslie Tuesday says the government and defense have agreed to recommend that she be sentenced to “one day, deemed served,” meaning she will not spend any time in prison if the judge adopts the recommendation. A hearing date has yet to be set.
Leslie is accused of disclosing sealed information about the secret grand jury proceedings between Aug. 11, 2022 and March 4, 2024, including “the names of various witnesses” who appeared before the grand jury, the substance of their testimony and other evidence presented to the grand jury in violation of federal rules and a court order, according to the statement.

My first thought was that Leslie was leaking to Turtleboy. He always seemed to have inside sources. But the timeline doesn't make sense. He didn't write his first Karen Read article until April 2023. He wasn't paying any attention to this case as far back as August 2022. Nor were any other journalists were pursuing it back then, and there wasn't any kind of FKR movement.

So, the recipient of the leaks was most likely someone who was involved in some way. Could be from either side. But seeing as the grand jury was investigating the investigation, my hunch would be that it was someone who was involved in arresting and/or prosecuting KR and was concerned about what the Feds had uncovered.

What I am wondering, is that maybe the Feds were looking into/at the recent discovery per 'The Bederow lettero's'. There was a lot of info in there, with much suspicious behavior simply 'missing'.

I'm hoping BIG the info WAS passed to Morrison, but what was HER pay off? Her motive. Who contacted her or did she act on her own to gather the info and give it to the 'highest bidder'. It's insane, the risk and now she has been found out of course. IMO

I'm hoping BIG the info WAS passed to Morrison, but what was HER pay off? Her motive. Who contacted her or did she act on her own to gather the info and give it to the 'highest bidder'. It's insane, the risk and now she has been found out of course. IMO

To know her reasoning for taking it all upon herself to do this is what I really want to know besides of course if SHE was contacted by a mutual player/prosecution team, if they dared. It's as though she too NEEDED KR to be found guilty as well as 'those others' in authority. IMO
