Here's a recap of what occurred with Dever and Cox:
Commissioner Michael Cox claimed he didn’t know one of his officers was associated with Karen Read’s case. Alan Jackson is calling foul.

“This is not a political issue,” Jackson argued. “It is a question of credibility and public trust. When Boston’s top law-enforcement officer lies about his own knowledge of a case under federal scrutiny, the stain spreads across the entire system. Accountability cannot stop at the Commissioner’s door.”
He said adding Cox to the Brady list and opening the POST inquiry is the “only one responsible course” in light of documented evidence. Jackson previously made a similar request that Dever be added to the Brady list; she resigned from the force last month.
“The people of Massachusetts deserve law enforcement leaders who tell the truth — not those who hide behind it,” he asserted Monday.
One question I have regarding Dever, now that she quit, will her name still be considered for the Brady list or does that become void. What if she tries to get on with a different police department.
