NEW: Trooper Michael Proctor is on the stand.

Note: I was outside when his name was called. The group of "Free Karen Read" supporters outside audibly cheered when his name got called. They're all watching the livestream outside the court-ordered buffer zone together.

Proctor says Sgt. Goode told them about a group of people who'd been at a party the night before, that they'd gotten a 911 call from Kerry Roberts.

Proctor says from Canton PD, he and Bukhenik went to McCabe residence and individually interviewed Jen McCabe, Matt McCabe and Brian Albert.

From McCabe residence, Proctor went to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was told Read had been released several hours earlier. He also saw O'Keefe's body in ER, noticed abrasions on his right arm, swollen eyes, blood on back of head.

Good question. All we have is "damaged", "hole" and "cracked".

I have no idea is the hole was the size of half or 2 thirds of the tail light or the diameter of a pencil. JMO.
yes, and onus is on prosecution.

At long last, controversial witness Trooper Michael Proctor has taken the stand in the #karenread murder trial... witness 57 in Read's second degree murder trial. He testifies he was on call Jan 29 2022 and was informed by a paramedic John O'Keefe had a 10% chance at survival.

"A" piece was missing then, not the 45 pieces that were found on the Albert's lawn? Hope the jury is taking detailed notes.

This will be hammered home during closing. There's a video of Read cracking her taillight at 5 am. Minimal damage seen on video. Taillight intact. Kerry Roberts saw a single piece missing. The Dighton officer saw a single piece missing

Dirty cop gets his hands on the taillight at Canton garage (where it should not have been) and suddenly a total of 45 pieces - a few very large - keep "revealing" themselves on the Fairview lawn over the period of many days.

No chance Read is convicted.

Trooper Michael Proctor now taking the stand.

Proctor says he got to Canton PD around 10 AM the day O’Keefe was found. Bukhenik met him there. Says they spoke with Sgt. Goode.

They then went to the McCabe’s. Says they interviewed Jennifer and Matt McCabe. They also interviewed Brian Albert.

Proctor says he and Bukhenik went to the hospital to see O’Keefe’s body.Tells Lally “Both eyes were swollen, black and blue.”

Says O’Keefe’s missing sneaker stuck out to him.

True. At least we agree that the defense should have cross examined him. JMO.

PROCTOR says he never interviewed witnesses alone, always with another trooper, except for one occasion "across the street" where a grand jury was meeting a hard to find witness who finally responded to a summons. That one he did alone.

Proctor says he observed O'Keefe's body and clothing at Good Samaritan Hospital - it was their second stop after speaking to Jennifer McCabe at her home. They also spoke with Matt McCabe. He noticed only one sneaker was with the clothes.

I actually no longer feel they needed to after remembering the onus is on the cw.

It's easy to forget sometimes that these are actually the cw's witnesses if you had watched the trial up to this point.

I find it quite curious that B. testified immediately before Proctor, how will the CW square "a" piece missing from the more than 3 dozen Proctor turned in as evidence?

Exactly. The defense got what they needed. You end it when you've gotten what you need.

Proctor says Det Lt Tully and the troopers searching 34 Fairview found the other sneaker at the scene.
