According to Zillow's listing for the house it has a raised foundation with either a partial basement or a crawlspace.

LM said that both the cellar/whatever you want to call the crawlspace and the septic tank on the property were searched.
Thank you Yemelyan, I wondered if they were searched.

I thought about the neighbors. If I were in their situation I would be thinking who is this neighbor (SC) that I occasionally see and wave to but don't really know; now she has mysteriously disappeared. What did she do (victim blaming) or what kind of people does she know (again victim blaming). If I had a spouse and young children, I would think about their safety first and foremost.

Thinking of Sandra and her family

sc lived with her dad until he passed, She got tired of the big house and sc and her daughter agreed to sell it and help her find something closer to her daughter. So now her mom has a house in Hanson and the houses where she bought are very close together. So the story goes that when her son in law came to get the kids they drove her car and his truck to the garage.SC leaves her whole key ring there. Her son in law brings her to the store and sc gets smokes. Son in law drops her off but supposedly didnt see her enter the home? Now if you listen to the podcast interview on facebook like i did a couple of times, her daughter states she tried calling thursday while she was at the beach at 12pm to let her know the status of her car. sc didnt answer. Her daughter says very out of the norm and got this unsettled feeling and called a few more times and didnt feel good about anything her husband said dont worry maybe she did go out . daughter called again friday morning and still got no answer. daughter showed up early ..felt like somthing is very wrong and didnt let the kids get out of the car. daughter had to call another family for care for her kids and proceeded to her job. It just seems weird that sc daughter is only 7 minuts away,With all this sense of somthing was horribly wrong why not swing by? so either she never made it home? someones already in the home when she got back? or someone from that garage used her keys to enter her home late and took her? her purse and her shoes and the clothing she had on are the only things that are missing along with SC.

These are all scenarios that we've been discussing (among others)....which one is your theory on what happened?

I'm starting to wonder if Sandra wasn't so off the grid for a very specific reason, although I have no idea what that could be.

  • #129
I have wondered about the isolated life she seems to have been living as well ! Always in my prayers, where are you Sandra ?

If there was a ratio, calculated as number of posts divided by progress made, we'd be near a record. I don't think anything will happen here unless LE persuades someone to talk. Unlikely that any physical evidence will suddenly appear.

The part about the daughter calling another family to care for her kids and then proceeded to her job - is that your theory or is that fact?

Surely she didn’t just go to work under those circumstances?

And wouldn’t you call your husband not another family?

It is a fact, related by LM in a podcast interview. She dropped off the kids with another family member and proceeded to work. Her job is such that I imagine it's not easy to just call out from or be late. Her husband also works so probably wasn't available to care for them right at that moment. However by mid-morning/noon she was in touch with her husband about the circumstances and he made a missing person report at the police station by early afternoon.

She has not answered her landline phone since Wednesday evening and it’s now Friday morning - and she doesn’t have a vehicle. She’s a homebody. Doesn’t socialize with neighbors. Bed is disturbed. Dog acts funny. You’ve had a bad feeling since the day before. She’s missing under very suspicious circumstances.

So you feed the dog and fill up the water bowl - take dog to pee since he’s been inside for almost two days. Lock the doors and head to work.

I think your mother gone missing would be a dang good reason to call in to work.

She actually explained that she didn't even do this. She said she was so flustered that she kind of forgot about him, and I understand!

I wouldn't judge her too harshly. She got her kids to a safe place. If I'm not mistaken she works in ICU or another skilled nursing role like that, she may even be a supervisor who's not easily replaceable. Maybe her intent was to go in just until coverage could be secured. Clearly she was in contact with family and formulating a plan to involve LE.

Yes, I have thought this may be about money from the very beginning..

Sorry if that sounded harsh. It wasn’t just the dog, job, etc that sounds off. Multiple things that are odd. (just my opinion)
I don’t know how I would react under those circumstances.

I don't think anyone from the garage or auto repair place had anything to do with it; her daughter referred her to that business. I read somewhere that a fitted sheet was missing also.

To be fair, do we know with certainty whether the fitted sheet was missing from the house or just missing from the bed? It's not clear to me whether the sheet could be in the laundry/house but is just not where you'd expect to see it OR an exhaustive search has been done and the sheet is missing along with her and her clothes. This is one of the many questions I'd love to see clarified!

I took it that the sheet was missing from the house. Why would anyone mention a missing sheet unless it was missing from the house. Her shoes (the ones she wore earlier that day) and her purse were missing also.

It was mentioned in the context of the bed being "disturbed," that's why.

I think it's really important not to assume things we haven't been explicitly told.
