Yes, that's the one. It appeared on 8.11.16Are you referring to the witness who said the drive by and saw a girl running and a vehicle and did a u-turn and when he went by again he saw the vehicle but no girl?
Or a different witness statement?

It would be interesting to get a hold of this link! In my experience, early witness accounts were quickly wiped from the web without a trace. I think LE makes certain things disappear when they realize they might use the information in trial.

I don't know of it in this case, specifically. I honestly haven't been consistently keeping up with the links. But it's certainly something they do. There were articles about myself that were wiped.Yeah, there's definitely some of that going on with this case.
Which makes me think there might be an important family involved, or something like that.
Rumors, not allowed to post...

But it's a scaled down version of what used to be there...ratsThis is a snapshot of that page taken on 9/6/16. The page was updated on 8/12/16 http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...google-employee-found-dead-woods-was-attacked Edit: seems that link won't work...just insert this in front of the url http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:
CachedView.com gives Page not found error on all options. http://cachedview.com/
Obviously because of they state the color of the car l, they increase the likelihood of getting false tips about that....at which point true sightings and false sightings become more difficult to desipher.
If they know they are looking for a blue car, try can just easily dismiss say calls about a red car. Way simplier and easier to desipher real from false memories.
It is basically suggestive questioning to ask for memories of blue cars and that defeats the purpose.
If you have ever studied criminal psychology and particularly questioning children, the wording has to be very very particular in order to not suggest information to them because this has been proven time and time again to create false memories and effect a child's testimony in an investigation.
Same psychology at play here.
I feel that IF it happens to be the son of a long standing and well connected local family....getting lawyered up quickly might explain a lot of the silence. It is definetly a possibility that would make a lot of sense to me.
Not trying to spread rumors, just saying, it fits one of the stronger possibilities, at least in my mind.

I can't help but wonder what they may be using to try to 'flush' the killer out by allowing false statements to be printed to see if he will give himself away or make a mistake of some sort-to go along with what you are saying. Maybe the police planted that whole car story for all we know..Possibly, possibly not.
They may have no car in mind at all, but if enough people call in about a blue car, then they will start looking for a blue car.
They may be trying to catch flies, have little to go on, and are looking for a clue to point them in a particular direction.
I'm not convinced that a car was used at all.

Oh, it's great that they do this! It gets convictions! I'm thrilled with their work. They are so diligent at making sure too much information isn't leaked. I didn't mean to sound like it's a negative thing.I'm sure some of it is more or less innocent, or at least good motivation, wanting to keep misinformation to a minimum.
And I could be mistaken. It wouldn't be the first time that happened.![]()
Don't you think if the police had an identity and a strong case they would arrest the person, if they had evidence? Or do you think the police might be unable to act, due to insufficient evidence?
Eh, I think they generally keep things quiet until they've gathered enough evidence to feel confident no matter who they suspect.I feel that IF it happens to be the son of a long standing and well connected local family....getting lawyered up quickly might explain a lot of the silence. I just get the feeling in this case that it's more of a Michael skakel type perp, then it is a creepy loner serial killer type perp.
But hey, that's just my hunch.
If LE doesn't feel he is the "serial killer type", then how did the FBI get involved?
