Ok, so sending a snap chat is not unusual so I withdraw my comment that it was odd. My point, however was that his snap chat message to Amanda seems to be the sole piece of evidence that he could not get back inside the bar. That message is gone. When Amanda read it, she had no reason to believe that there was a problem: it was just a routine message sent from one young bar patron to another very late at night. Maybe she remembers it correctly, maybe not. I find it hard to indict the bar on that one item.
As for suicide, it's a possibility but we can't know his state of mind at the time. It was zero degrees. I find it hard to believe that he made a conscious decision to walk 6-7 blocks so he could kill himself by jumping in a frigid body of water from a nearby walkway.
