funny

I am getting quite an education about the degree and ways this generation addiction to internet is moving along!! Much too much!
+
I have ehard of Uber but just learned from ya that they dont have to push 10 whole digits to get a ride --god how lazy can one be in their 20's HA

Last week I mapqwested and it knew where I was . I did. not .feel.safe.!!!!!!!!!!!Creeped me out a machine knows my address!

The one good thing about it was it was less typing !!!!!!!!!!!!

So if I have it correct they push two buttons a ride shows up, they are sending each other (like Mission Impossible or the NSA) things that disintegrate in 3 seconds, they are sending each other pictures of themeselves, there cup of coffee, in addation to Face Book , Pinnet, Redit, Blue it ,instead of Face ArmBook, Insta something, kinda slow something, midspeed something, texting, GPS ing, laptoping, emailing, taking videos,

maybe that is why there is no time to talk with someone sitting at your table!!!!!!!!

Here's What Happens To Your iPhone In The Bitter Cold

Your iPhone is just like you: It really hates the cold.

On its website, Apple suggests that you only use your (4th generation or later)iPhone in environments between 32º and 95º F, since "low- or high-temperature conditions might temporarily shorten battery life or cause the device to alter its behavior to regulate its temperature."
If the temperature drops below 32º, your best bet is keeping your phone turned off and stored somewhere warmer, Apple suggests.....

Its actually even more bizaire - one would think that people would notice someone in on ly a sweater in minus 9 degrees ---and would recall such a sight, no?

and ...if there is a chronic perp in the area- it stands to reason that a potnetial victim, with no clothes in -9 degrees would welcome a warm car....

Not posted on here but I keep following your posts.

Eta: my post hasn't quoted properly. This is in response to Caris, post 180.

"
Lets just say..................really drunk and blacked out and up dead in the water...

anyu of you think a ME would be able to make a differential diagnosis and be able to distinguish between just falling in or being thrown in. It seems as if the body would be the same if there was no over tviolence"

Rsbm: From when we were following another story of a similar nature, Richard Cole, it was found that if it was a peeing accident, their zippers were usually open. Although if they have joggers on then it would be harder to tell.

This happened on the 13th. Lots of young men have disappeared on that date. I believe you will find him in a river somewhere.

I've been looking into the Smiley face, river deaths lately. This seems like one of them to me.

I just want to take a minute to thank safeguard for the interesting posts and ask a question. What is it that you are safeguarding?

I find this piece of information interesting, if it's true. Would they spend the resources to search the water without any evidence indicating he is there- other than prior cases? If so...yikes!!!

https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2...harvard-man/IyN8vLWFejiQeuT7irMfJO/story.html

Divers searched the water near the Zakim Bridge Wednesday, said police spokeswoman Officer Rachel McGuire.

While authorities have no evidence that Marr drowned, searching nearby waterways is a decision that reflects recent cases and the city’s geography.

Downtown Boston is surrounded by several bodies of water including the Charles River, the Charles River Basin, the Inner Harbor, and Fort Point Channel, making the likelihood of someone falling into water greater than in other places.

Yikes is the word! God forbid they should follow up up on things that have happened before.

Do you have a particular reason they should NOT search the waterways?

If it's a decision based on previous cases, that speaks to a whole other level of thinking. They might be thinking this isn't an isolated case.

Had the other cases not happened, without any evidence of him being near the water- searching water just to search is timely, expensive and more complicated given the temperature of the water. It's not something they routinely do within a few days of someone being missing- when they state there is no evidence he drowned.

It says right there they check the water because there are a lot of waterways in Boston. From the bar walking either way he would have hit a waterway eventually. How people think that it'd be more likely for there to be a huge world wide network of serial killers that push people in to water rather than drunk young men finding their own way in to the water is honestly beyond me. There is just something that naturally draws people to water.

I said before maybe he was headed to the train station, he would have missed the last train but maybe he wouldn't have known that. But really actually I don't believe he would have made it to the station because he would have been caught on camera there. If he was trying to get in to the market and that's when he snapchatted that they wouldn't let him in then maybe he was worse off than we think because that would be a pretty big mistake to make.

. The Tavern has been around since 1795. A gathering place for printers and politicians, sailors and students,
Maybe it was Jimmy Wilson, the first owner. , Jimmy was Boston’s town crier for fifty years. Good news or bad, Bostonians heard it all from Jimmy. He reported on everything from the Boston Tea Party to the birth of the nation. When he retired, he decided to open a tavern. He was proud of his former occupation and that’s why he called the place the Bell-in-Hand.
Maybe it was the ale. Not one for “hard stuff”, Jimmy refused to sell the whiskey, rum and gin so popular in other taverns of the day. So thick, it was served in two mugs, one for the ale and the second for the froth.

So, was it Jimmy, the ale or the atmosphere? Who knows? Whatever it was, it’s been working for over 200 years. It’s how the Bell-in-Hand became the oldest tavern in America.
website

Bell in Hand was built in 1795 and is America's oldest continuously operating tavern (
However . . .
. He reported on all the big events of his time - the Boston Tea Party, the Declaration of Independence, the Battle of Bunker Hill, the Defeat of the British.

Bell in Hand has occupied its current very attractive building since 1844. Early Bell in Hand patrons included Daniel Webster and Paul Revere (who lived to a ripe old age and seems to have frequented every Boston bar for miles around during his lifetime).

Wilson didn't believe in "hard stuff" (no doubt he'd seen more than his share of alcohol-fueled street brawls such as the one that led to the Boston Massacre during his Town Crier stint), so the Bell in Hand served only Smith's Philadelphia Cream Ale until 1919.

With 2 floors, 5 bars, and large plasma TVs, Bell in Hand is one of the hottest nightspots in the Faneuil Hall area. Expect to pay a cover charge on after a certain point on most nights, when this historic bar morphs into a popular Boston dance club that attracts lots of college students and a mostly 21-to-30-something crowd.

Snip

dive team investigating the disappearance of Zachary Marr found nothing, police spokeswoman Rachel McGuire said.

“We’re still remaining optimistic,” said Marr’s aunt, Melissa Ford. “Unfortunately, right now we don’t have any news.”

Marr was celebrating his birthday at the Bell in Hand Tavern on Union Street when he went out into the bitter cold about 1:20 a.m. to smoke a cigarette, leaving his coat behind, said Kyle Ford, one of the cousins who had been with him.

A few minutes later, Marr sent another cousin a Snapchat, saying that he was not allowed back inside, Ford said. By the time the three of them grabbed their belongings and went outside, he said, Marr was gone.

On its Facebook page, Bell In Hand said its surveillance video shows Marr leaving the tavern at 1:20 a.m., without trying to re-enter.

Ford called Marr’s cellphone six times and while the first two calls rang, the rest went straight to voicemail, he said.

“He’s never gone missing before, and it’s totally out of character for him to not return a call,” Ford said. “He was grinning from ear to ear, joking about how he wanted to travel and go to Miami or somewhere else warm.”

Thanks you. I am but a babe in the woods compared to many fine sleuths here, but eagerly learning.

I do think you need to *safeguard* your heart when you come here.

The unending stream of horrible, incomprehensible things that befall those we are attempting to help, can take a toll on even the most seasoned sleuther...

but still... what could bring more abiding joy, than to help aleviate the the suffering of another, by our simple acknowledgement of their plight?

Just noticed this . From Amanda "He was wearing a long sleeve black button up with white vertical stripes and a charcoal grey pullover sweater".

From the pic in front of Boston Market he is in black top. Made me think god did not even have the pullover

I think it's the pullover. The charcoal grey just looks black due to the lighting.

Does anyone believe in the Smiley Face theory?

I don't know if it's true or not, however, I did come across something very interesting under the comments.

"And strangely enough on my drive home in south Boston. I saw a giant billboard with nothing but a huge smiley face on it. Check it out for yourself if you live in the area. It is on Dorchester Avenue right by the golds gym."

http://killingkillers.blogspot.com/2016/02/missing-person-alert-for-zachary-marr.html#comment-form

Jmo, I think the smiley faces are irrelevant, (common and found practically everywhere.)

Some of the other similarities are rather hard to dismiss.

RE: some activity on his son’s account since his disappearance.

Its actually, IMO signfigant - to know one way or the other
