I had a feeling the news that there was footage of him entering the water was coming. I hope they are able to find him.

Can anyone figure out what he possibly could have been walking to over that bridge on the tracks? While I can see how a freezing drunk person could fall through that hole, assuming it wasn't well lit, I just can't fathom where he thought he was going. :/

That's something I cannot figure out. He missed the train station by a few blocks. Was he planning on walking home/to cousin's house? Maybe he was just really turned around.

Since I've been on WS I can't remember one time when a young man leaves a bar in the early morning hours, disappears and isn't found in water. Zach didn't appear to be so intoxicated that he couldn't walk across a walkway over the river without falling in. If he was that drunk how did he make it that far without falling on his face? This is just such bizarre, especially since it doesn't happen in just one city, it's all of them.

Prayers for his family

Fox 25 said divers were at old spaulding hospital. You mean in Charlestown? That's not near North Station. Also, why do my posts keep getting deleted?

Well, it's near, but you know what I mean--not just down the street!

I am so incredibly sad about this, but it is certainly enlightening. Maybe all those other men ALSO just walked away in the freezing cold and headed toward the water? Seems absolutely unbelievable, but if their video is clear that Zachary did just that, maybe the others did too?

So, it's crazy in the weather he was in, but maybe he thought he just wanted to walk home back to Harvard?! My husband (then he was my very new boyfriend), was DRUNK once when we went to a wedding. He was acting like a jerk and instead of riding back with us, informed us he would be walking. It took him hours but he made it. I just looked at the map and a walk back to Harvard would have taken a little over an hour and there's a route straight in on the Monsignor O'Brien Highway. Maybe when he got to Nashua St he got confused about which bridge to take.

ETA I was way off on which direction home was. Sorry!

The bridge could have been very icy

I see your posts

Does it say divers are there searching (there isn't water there?), or are they being treated there?

Harvard University and Harvard, MA are two completely different places. We're not talking about Harvard University.

  • #835
Yes, old spauling hospital in Charlestown is along the water. That's where Fox 25 says divers were.

  • #836
Maybe I read it wrong. I'm sure someone can check.

I have been wondering about all those other disappeared/drownings, never seem to be captured on video.

Do you know if any of the other "missing", were captured on film?
