Madeleine McCann 3 year old missing in Portugal - Part 5

I feel horrible for the parents and most of all, Maddy, but I just can't get past the fact that 2 doctors go on vacation and leave their 2 year old twins and 3 year old daughter alone in a room while they go eat- for whatever length of time, no matter who else in their group was doing it too, for whatever reason, period.

I don't leave my 3 year old alone in our own home while I go mow the lawn for 20 minutes. Anything could happen.

I pray for Maddy's safe return but can't get over the fact that they left these kids alone in a hotel room no matter how close by they were eating.

When this first happened I was upset when I came on here and read all the negative stuff about the parents but as time has gone on I climbed the fence from one side and now am going down the other. I do not like how these parents are acting. I have yet seen Mrs. McCann shed a tear. THAT says EVERYTHING to me. AND makes me scream in my head...

Thanks Jdee - I didn't what to get the name wrong, but your signature line sticks with me and I honestly am screaming in my mind right now for Maddie.

The day should just about be starting over there now....... I wonder what it will bring. Something positive, I hope!

The only way the McCanns could be so positive that Madeleine did not wake up and wander out, is if there was a reason she wouldn't. And trust me, while many 3-4 year olds are very good children, they are also inquisitive and curious. So, if they think she did not wander off just because she had been taught/told not too, it would not be sound reasoning. If she was scared and the door was unlocked or if she was just feeling the freedom of no supervision and the door was unlocked, she very well could have wandered off.

McCanns insistence that she was abducted is one of the reasons their story is unbelieveable. McCanns have never entertained the idea that she may have wandered off - it has always been "she was taken."

I know about the woman late to dinner who saw someone with a child, but I don't much believe this story. Just too convenient and the McCanns were not told about the man with the child until AFTER Kate discovered Maddie missing. Kate had already made up her mind that Madeleine had been abducted before she even knew about the man!

Sounds a little "preplanned" to me.

I have a theory. On at least one occasion, Madeleine awoke to find herself alone in the apartment, and her crying roused other occupants around them who complained. Now what if the McCanns were giving something to the children to help them sleep at night. OR, because Madeleine woke up they decided to give something to her so she'd stay asleep. I think it's possible that they gave her too large a dose of some sleep aid and she died. So now the McCanns have a huge problem on their hands because they'll be charged with doping her. So they manufactured the "kidnapping".

I think Aussie Mike is hoping that somebody (either confidant of the McCanns or perhaps an abductor or someone who knows the abductor) will read his blog and feel a pang of conscience. He is appealing to them directly to come forward.

The "appointment" of the "campaign manager" is a very strange concept here in the states. Our government would never get involved with a missing child case and help the parents with a campaign. Anything like that would have to be paid for by the parents. Can you tell us more about this? Is this a typical government response in the UK? Would the people of the UK be "ok" with their tax dollars being spent this way? Why, do you think, there has not been a private detective working on this case? In the US that would be the first person hired in a case like this.

I specifically was looking for an e-mail address for her. Any ideas? As horrible as that sounds I think you are expressing the thoughts of alot of us. It makes more sense than anything else that has been suggested.

What the heck is a notional salary?? I can't fathom this, I can't even believe this. I just keep reading this over and over and over and keep teling myself they must mean to say they hired a PI and not a PR manager. This is sick, revolting and morally reprehensible. Poor Maddie.

Child Trafficking 'Link' To Missing Girl

Nope, sorry, I don't buy it. Simply because of the statement in the story:

"However, experts have questioned whether child traffickers or a childless couple are behind the disappearance, as they would have taken her younger siblings, who were with her at the time."

If you could get 7000 pounds selling a child why wouldn't you take all 3?? And if not all 3 (because you couldn't carry 3) then why not take the smallest? Or the 2 smallest?

Another thought I had (I know, I have alot of those )

That and the possibility that if we find out that the McCanns are involved in a cover-up then any case such as this in the future will be looked upon with suspicion, at the expense of a missing or abducted child. That may be the biggest tragedy of all!
