Early rise this morning dropping off and picking up good friends from the airport. One of our friends from Amsterdam, who has been actively campaigning to publicise Madeleines disappearance, dropped in to see us for a couple of hours since he is on a golfing trip in the Algarve.

Our friends brought back my wallet which had been returned, needless to say minus the Sterling, although all my cards and €30 were still in it! It is good to have my driving license back and one or two other important things.

I am crying and feel physically ill. I am absolutely in shock. How is such a thing possible? My first reaction? you Gerry McCann.

Gobsmacked, this man has no feelings whatsoever.

Is he referring to the photos of his children, particularly Madeleine? SOB!!!!!

While he may not be referring directly to the photos, just the fact that he did not even mention them ie: "I am so happy to have my precious pictures back" shows that he is so disconnected or has a personality disorder OR if he is referring to the pictures as "one or two other important things" well, that's really disturbing.

Either way it is unbelieveably inconsiderate of his readers. Another slap :slap:

I cant believe GM did not mention the photos, goes to show that he is really only interested in money and the spotlight on him. Egotistical SOB. Portugal is definitely off my holiday list.

I think he is completely narcissistic. Everything is about HIM. Maddie being missing is about HIM. He is disconnected from everything that isn't or any feelings that aren't about HIM.

The wallet was never stolen so hence he 'forgot' about those 'ireplacealbe pictures' when he 'got it back'... All a sham. :liar:

I wanted to comment on when G went back the first time to his hometown. Did anybody else see it when he walked arournd the memorial set up for Madeleine with all the yellow ribbons and toys and flowers? I thought he acted uncomfortable walking around seeming to read cards and looks at things. It could have been that he knew he had the cameras on him but I remember at the time thinking.. he is acting so odd. Not like a father who has just lost their child. And then soon after he requested all that taken down. I thought that odd too. Like lets get this sh$t out of here... is the way it came across to me. The whole thing bugged me. Why move it at all? Was it hurting anybody? I think if anything it gave comfort to those that put the things there.... But no Mr. M had to have it all stripped away...

He had it taken away because it took the focus off Madelaine, he knows it shouldnt be there as it is a reminder of Madelaine and he knows what happened to her and didnt want reminding. Would like to know what is happening with Mrs McCann, I dont think she can handle this anymore so is keeping out of the spotlight, and its not because she is missing her daughter I think she is frightened that she will let something slip about what she knows about Madelaine's disappearance.

There are many reasons Tristan, you havent read this thread from the beginning as you would find out why we think the parents are involved, it isnt for the money. Just a couple of the top of my head are that Madelaine has a medical condition, and the mother has been quoted as saying she cannot handle her three children, the actions of the parents in relation to their daughters disappearance, the inconsistencies of their stories, they have told lies, if you read back through the threads there are heap more reasons why some of the posters think the parents are involved in some way, HOW. we are not sure of. But you can bet your bottom dollar that they know something about their daughters disappearance.

I was thinking about this case while I was trying to get to sleep last night and I really don't think the McCanns killed Madelaine. The reason for this is that they were in a strange country and did not know the surrounding areas -how on earth would they have managed to hide the body (sorry) so well? Madelaine would have been found by now. I would like to see a complete timeline of the day she went missing though to ensure they also did not have the time to hide a body.

I've not posted in a long time - not much movement to comment on - but I never have thought the parents killed Madelaine. I wouldn't be shocked, however, if it was found they sold her, perhaps even to a loving family. Still, it makes you wonder why there have been no sightings. The parents IMO haven't acted like what most people feel is the norm for parents of a missing child.

I don't think that anyone here thinks that they "sold" their daugther to anyone. I can't/won't speak for everyone, but I think that something happened to Madeleine that caused her death and they are trying to cover it up. I don't know what, why or how but I just know that their story just doesn't add up. At first, I tried to give them the benefit of a doubt. I tried to blame their strange behaviors on cultural differences but as the days went on their behavior just made me more suspicious. They just do not act as grieving parents desperate to find their beloved daugther.

As Shazza said there are many reasons, too many to list, but if you read all the threads you will see all the strange actions and reasons why we think that they are involved.

I do not believe these parents sold their child. I do think it is possible that when left alone Maddie had an accident and died. The parents could be tyring to cover there copability in the death of their daughter by trying to sell a whole pedafile abduction scenerio.

If she died, accident or other, how do you suppose they could have removed her body w/o being seen or the body found?

Did I read somewhere that Madeline was difficult to handle?

One scenario involves wrapping her in a "blanket" or a "towel" and taking her to a dumpster (cruel and totally ugly, I know). Remember the "stranger" carrying a bundle witnessed by a dinner companion of the McCanns? So the body could be in a landfill or perhaps retrieved later and driven to a remote location or to a boat and then out to sea.

That is as much as I want to go there but there are others....

I saw reference to Kate needing help with the kids and her mother would come and stay with the family, which could translate to one or more of them being a handful. All of this is pure speculation as I am sure you are aware.

Back to watching CNN and trying to figure out what the heck is going on in Scotland. Did you see where they evacuated the hospital where they took one of the guys that was in the Jeep that was driven into the airport terminal? What is up with that? Maybe he is infected with something??

I haven't posted on this thread in a long time but when I started reading again and saw that focus has been turned to the parents, I was relieved.

That is why I stopped posting previously. I have never been able to get over the fact that the very first night GM came out of the apartment yelling that "they have taken her" to her husband. That never worked for me as your first response to your child being gone out of bed and missing. Plus she ran out of the apartment leaving the twins behind alone again without seeming to care they could still be in danger. Of all the things that have happened in this case I've never been able to get past those two things.

Thanks to everyone for responding to my post.

I tend to feel that when parents are educated and affluent (or at least
middle class) that they would not harm their own child.
But then, I am a FIRM believer in Ramsey guilt, so I guess that theory
about educated/wealthy parents goes down the rain.

These are the exact two reasons I have been suspicious of the parents. I have always thought it bizzare that from the get go the theory was that she was stolen by a pedafile ring. To me this equates to sneezing and diagnosing yourself with a nasal cancer as opposed to a common cold or allergy. It is just illogical to me. My focus would have been on searching that resort under the assumption the child left to find her parents and met up with trouble. This scenerio of course puts copabitiy on the parents where as with a pedafile abduction the parents neglect gets minimized in favor of the big bad pedafile. It just seems very hinky to me. I also agree leaving the twins once she discovered Maddie missing makes no sense.
