With the poem, I seem to get a feeling of a lost or stolen innocence.

I know it is getting late and as soon as my sweet grandson falls asleep and I can put him in bed, I'm going to have to sign off and call it a night, but if you have a minute, would you tell me why you think the poem is creepy?

I think it just talks about a "hot romance" on PDL that went bad. Latin temperment up against a British one - one hot, one cold - so to speak. I might think it was creepy if GM or KM had written.

You beat me....... I think you are right. But I would venture to guess it was between the author of the poem and either someone that travelled to PDL with him, or someone he met there.

I kinda think it is more someone he met there because of the hot/cold thing.

The last verse seems creepy to me, especially the part about pain and doubt which seems to be where the whole Madeleine disappearance is at right now. The poem was only written a year ago. And I think GM actually knows the author- he went to Edinburgh University and is in some soccer club with him.

I agree the investigation is fraught with pain and doubt. Has been from the beginning.

Maybe it was some kind of premonition on the author's part?

I think when they realized what people were saying, they decided to make it inaccessible. GM may have requested this, especially if he is friends with the author.

The video is interesting. I couldn't understand everything that was being said because the reporter was coming across very loud and the guy talking was very quiet. Everytime the reporter came on, I had to turn the sound down quickly - then the guy would talk and I couldn't hear him

I'll listen again in the morning when it doesn't matter how loud I'm being.

Checking the various boards tonight, a lot of people were talking about the poem and how the pages of the book on the website started disappearing as the poem was being discussed. And it isn't just the poem. Yesterday morning the Sky.news reported a quote from GM's Uncle Brian in which he mentioned that the McCanns would probably return home in the fall and the family was thinking of having a party. Quickly the comments page began registering complaints, and almost immediately the article disappeared and was replaced by one similar that didn't mention the party. This has been happening a lot.

That video is downright freaky. I don't put a lot into reverse speech, but it had me spooked.

Oh hon, you're not, I read here a couple times a day and would be lost without you posting, I know I don't have a lot to add on top of you sleuthers. And colomom better come back for good too, I'm glad she's been in the past couple days, but we want her everyday, a couple times a day, LOL. We're in this together.

Please forgive me if I've been neglectful :blushing: - I Truly am having an awful time on different forums just trying to glean useful information between the virtual wars that seem to go on everywhere.....not to mention the editing of news and deletion of threads... I tell you, you have to be quick with the forces at work in this....its depressing....why are they silencing the masses that just want justice for Madeleine?

I am having to deal with personal 'stuff' as well, all in all, I really am burnt out.

Me too Moon... but I check in everyday to see what's new.. sometimes I just have nothing new to add and don't want to take up post with 'good point!', etc...

I finally got to read the poem and after really studying everything from all that I don't read anything into it. I think it's a stretch and we are all so desperate to find Madeleine we are grasping at straws. I think this is one of those straws...
Very wierd how some things disapear BUT the beauty of the web is it does not totally disapear and we slueth's are good at smelling stuff out!

Interesting but I put no weight into it. We did this back in the 60's with a 78 of Abbey Road on an record player and it was suppose to say "Paul is Dead"... Well he wasn't for many many years later.

Good to hear from you- we were getting a bit worried. Navigating these sites is emotionally draining, and it is mind-blowing how the forces (of evil?) are working to pull down information almost as soon as it goes up! Now it seems as if the McCanns are threatening legal action which will further drive people into the woodwork.
