She said she saw someone carrying madeleine. She did not realize it at the time. Who would think that? I wouldn't either. It would not occur to you.. But once she knew that Maddie was gone. She knew what she saw.

It does not have to be corroborated for someone to have seen something.

She said several different things. I gave you links to that. From her police statements. You won't have anything bad said about the McCanns or their friends, why? Doctors can do bad things too.

Oh so I give you evidence and it's not proof! She who? Several different people said the McCanns said the window was jemmied.

As for lies look at what they said about Madeleine's supposed Coloboma!

Whoa! Madeleine didn't have coloboma?

Gerry tells his sister window was jemmyed:

"Trish said: "When Kate checked, she came out screaming. Maddy had gone. The door was open and the window in the bedroom and shutters were jemmied open. Nothing had been touched and no valuables taken."

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/maddy-3-goes-missing-472340

Next quote:

"Close family friend Gill Renwick, of Liverpool, who also spoke to GP Kate yesterday, said: "Poor Kate and Gerry don't know where to turn.

"Madeleine has obviously been taken. She couldn't have gone out on her own and the shutters were forced."

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/maddy-3-goes-missing-472340

Next quote:

"But Brian Healy, Madeleine's maternal grandfather, told the Guardian his son-in-law had phoned him shortly after returning to the apartment from a nearby restaurant to find Madeleine had disappeared.

"Gerry told me when they went back the shutters to the room were broken, they were jemmied up and she was gone," said Mr Healy. "She'd been taken from the chalet. The door was open."

http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2007/may/05/world.topstories31

And then:

"Until now, it was believed that shutters at the front of the apartment had been jemmied open by the little girl's abductors.

But Chief Inspector Olegario Sousa, spokesman for the investigation, has confided in British former Chief Inspector Albert Kirby that neither the windows nor their shutters had been tampered with."

You're quoting from the media. So one paper uses the word Jemmied and they all catch on. Not a reliable source that Kate and Gerry used that word and even if they did so what?

"Maybe the window might have been jemmied" and then the police say no it hasn't. Ok they made a mistake. So what? I don't get why this is being made into such a huge thing?

No, several different people said these things. Check the actual quotes. Not the papers saying it, but the papers actually quoting the people who had spoken to the McCanns.

And it's a big deal as they said it was done as a means of escape for the abductor. But it wasn't. They lied. And if they lied about that then what else......

Oh right and the papers never print false information at all do they? They never get sued for writing false information about people do they.
Are you kidding? Ever head the expression 'Don't believe everything you read'?

When it comes to credible sources then the media is pretty low on the list.
With this case if it is not in the police files then I pretty much ignore it. There is far too much false information around to believe anything unless it is from an actual statement.

If these articles were all wrong then why didn't the McCanns sue for libel! They like to do that after all!

If you go to youtube and search for Madeleine, you will find ample clips of the toad that is Gerry's sister telling whoever would listen that Gerry and Kate told her the windows were jemmied.

So now she's lying too? She's in cahoots with the British police, Grime and the PJ?

You've already made up your mind on less.

So why go on a sleuthing site?

I don't get it really. They ask for quotes and sources, you give them facts, sources, science, but it's the wrong type of facts, sources and science.

A mistake?

Or a great big fat lie?

Depends on whether you're IDI I guess...half empty vs half full.

No. It just depends on perspective and reasonibility.

She most likely just thought that. She would not say it if in fact she knew that it was not true. There would be no point because the police could prove that. She said it because she just figured they came in and jimmied the window.

Reminds me of a neighbor girl, she's four. Her mom tells her something she doesn't want to hear and she jams her fingers in her ears. It's kinda cute when it's a four year old that belongs to someone else;)

No she said it because Gerry told her. Kate and Gerry also told the police that too, it's in their statements. Then later on when they were proved to be wrong they changed their stories.

I just don't see the big deal here. IT is a ridiculous little discrepancy.. It does not matter in the facts..

Either one of them said it. But it does not mean they said it lie or throw anyone.. They most likely thought it was true because She was gone..

Why would it matter if the window was "jemmied", when the door to the villa was left unlocked, and anyone could have gotten in?

  • #899
Based on facts and evidence, not emotion.

Also, I quite like LOGIC to play a part in my conclusions.

The accusation that IDI and that the PJ, the British Police, Trish McCann AND the dogs were all part of a "lets get the parents" conspiracy, defies logic.

Especially as they're still out walking around.

Conspiracy/framing FAIL.

Oh dear me, it's massive! They said the window was the point of exit! The police wasted time checking that window, and what did they find? Kate's fingerprints.

They lied to the police! The first of many lies.
