It's a big deal to me when it goes against everything a normal parent would do. two year olds typically do not brush their teeth alone. They require supervision and a prudent parent would put them up, out of reach, to insure they don't get mixed up. These aren't ignorant people, These are trained professionals.

I refuse to believe they shared toothbrushes, shoes and clothes.

Im a retired dental assistant >>>> there are much worse things kids put in their mouth.
Just for your info. twins and siblings born close together often share toothbrushes.
The toothbrush hangup is not mine.

Parents kill their children at an ALARMING rate and they also try to hide it.

How many disgruntled employees kidnap foreign children from vacationers?

I do see parenting issues.

Parenting issues AND children refusing to go to bed (Kate's Diary).

No they don't. There is no issue at all with their parenting. Nothing with proof. Just innuendo and opinion.

It is much more feasible that it could be someone who wanted to cause problems for the resort and maybe did not plan to kill her, just take her to show the problems and something happened. She screamed, She yelled and he silenced her.

That makes more sense than anything put forth as a theory saying MDI.

Besides leaving the children alone at night and sharing toothbrushes, what parenting issues are being referred to here?
Everything the Mccanns do?

I think the toothbrush issue is not fact at this time so maybe we should just forgettabouit. The only link was pat brown posted earlier.

Knock it off! Stop the bickering NOW.

The next TO's are going to be very long.

That is all.

I hate typing this but it doesn't take a lot of effort to dump a child in the ocean and never found.

And not have anyone see you, How do you know the tide won't bring it back? How do you get it into the water without being seen, Rent a boat?

There are way more questions that would arise had the McCann's done it than a native to the island.

Kate and Gerry were photographed on some sort of bridge. I always felt that is where maddie was put in the ocean. Even if her little body washed up, I think it would have been very difficult to implicate anyone. Water washes away any DNA fingerprints etc. I remember this from Celina Cass case and another I can't remember offhand. Celina's case remains unsolved even though everyone suspects the 23 year old who lived there

I'll look for links to try backing up my statement

Sometimes people get lucky.... Many turn up years and years later, some never. That's just the way it goes. IMO
I don't believe any of them believe they'll ever be caught. even murderers that commit premeditated murder ...

IMO she was so tiny, she would have been ... Never mind... But I'm sure you can imagine she wouldn't last long.

Very interesting......BLOWS OUT THE TRACTOR MAN THEORY....

Maddie case: PJ has already carried out the first requests of the rogatory letter asked by the English

http://joana-morais.blogspot.com/2013/10/maddie-case-pj-has-already-carried-out.html

verything that has come out in Correio da Manhã, and was today echoed in the UK media with extras that do not appear in the original article, is part of the rogatory letter requests sent by the English police, being carried out by a six man team of the PJ in Faro, who are working exclusively within the scope of that rogatory letter and nothing else.

If Correio da Manhã was correct with the articles that they have published that means that even the search for Maddie's body, the questioning of witnesses, the paedophiles lead, the gipsy lead, the dead Ocean Club worker lead who was revealed today has being an immigrant from Cape Verde - and who for obvious reasons looks nothing like the e-fit suppressed by the McCanns in 2008, the triangulation of cell phones and phone masts and the reconstitution are all part of those requests made by the English authorities to the Portuguese.

A Judiciary Police team has not yet been constituted to work in the process since it was reopened by the Public Ministry, that is, the official PJ investigation to the Maddie case has not yet been resumed.

Also I have just read that the widow has freaked out and is going to sue THE people who have published about her husband etc.

I don't understand what this means.
That SY leaked the info to CdM?
And the journo who wrote it is Amarals friend? What a coincidence!

The longer the item is submerged, the less chance you have of recovering any prints. However, if the print is protected in some way from direct water exposure, the print will maintain its structure longer than one exposed to the ambient water, where the friction created by direct water contact will wash away the print much faster. Water is an excellent solvent. This is illustrated by the contrast between the prints left on the inside rearview mirror of an automobile and the prints left on the sideview mirror mounted on the exterior of the driver's door. The prints on the inside mirror would be protected from moving water and therefore last longer.

Remember - Given enough time, water will even dissolve glass.

That is funny considering many can take the leap from DR and parent with no prior parenting issues, murdering their own child in a foreign country and hiding the body so well no one has ever found it..

Well phrased. This is exactly my struggle with those religious camps that have intellectually entrenched themselves into the "McCann's did this" (or any other scenario for that matter). These boards have all the attributes of a sect and any alternative opinion gets immediately bashed or quickly moderated out (via bans). This strange phenomenon doesn't only happen in this case, you see it all across the boards discussing these cases.

It is really beyond me how one can justify for oneself making the weirdest, irrational leaps to be able to continue to explain the McCann's or T9's involvement (which could be true, I don't rule it out!), and let any other potential alternative scenario immediately bounce off on the self-imposed blinders. Or the forums are populated by people with a need to be part of a group and are simply too afraid to lose social status by embracing new thoughts under the pressure of some self proclaimed experts. I actually find this phenomenon pretty scary.

Some psychologist should analyze this one day, e.g. I found it already funny to observe the quite nervous responses to the TractorMan news yesterday. In those camps there is obviously no face-saver left, if the McCann story would be falsified. Some immediately jumped into weird mental escapes like: "suppose he did it, then he is still innocent, because the McCann's planted the body on his land" (literally!) and some immediately started to disclaim themselves by saying things like "suppose for a ridiculous moment, I mean not really, but in an extremely crazy situation... ...that this ridiculous scenario would be true, then the McCann's and T9 have to be very stupid by loading this incredible amount of suspicion on themselves". Holy cow! Still found a way to blame the McCann's EVEN if they are proven innocent.

Anyway, my apologies for this rant, but it does make me feel a bit better :blushing: And please don't take my venting wrong: I do NOT rule out the McCann's or T9's involvement, I just do believe it is highly improbable they were involved. I just got a bit scared by reading those sectarian forums with followers who are not allowed to think for themselves anymore...

I always said if this much united energy was spent in finding Madeleine, she would have been found by now.
Unfortunately only little space for Madeleine is left in these everydays rants between two camps. Almost like you watch these people fighting about some REALITY SHOW.
I wish there was a Team Madeleine :)

We are Team Madeleine regardless what side we're on or we wouldn't be here. We all want her found and get her justice.

  • #1,617
I like to keep an open mind, but TractorMan is not convincing as a suspect. If for example he started a fire in order to get back at his ex employer and that killed someone, but to take a child even if he had no intention of harming her, that's nuts.

I would hope everyone is on Madeleine's "team"

I think we all want her found and those responsible brought to justice. Whoever that may be.

But again, perhaps it is true... its quite a simple explanation, bit of a stretch with the modus operandi.

Which island?

ScarlettScarpetta seems to think that the Algarve region is an island. See the post I quoted here, for example. I don't know why she keeps referring to it as such - unless she's talking about some kind of small minor area or rock formation off the coast then I don't understand and I'm not even trying to be snarky.
