:crazy: Just to let you know a little background of the person starting that thread. While the Madeleine Mirror forums were going she posted under the name of insider1. SHE claims to work in NY for the USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops). A few days later said she was in the UK. When questioned about her obvious discrepancy she then said she was VISITING relatives in the UK for a few months (or something like that...I'd love a job that gives months of vacation time). She first claimed to have inside information that Madeline was a clone ...but not of Kate or Gerry, but of a descendant of Jesus Christ, and that Gerry did not follow the "Clone rules" so "They", (the clone makers) took her away. First she said Madeleine was dead, then alive, (?) According to this person, the McCanns trip to Portugal was planned, so that she would be snatched there, and knowing that the PJ had very little experience with child abductions, they could spin it thus Kate and Gerry could then profit off of the ordeal...and all of the Tapas group knew she was going to be snatched... Oh, and Jane Tanners child is also a clone. :waitasec: (But she wasn't taken for some odd reason). She of course then proceeds to say that if she reveled any of her sources, or her job title or any thing that could validate anything she says she would be killed...:boohoo:

Anyway, even though it is very entertaining to read her ramblings, just remember that she appears (okay...IS) a few bricks short of a load. IMHO she makes up stuff for attention and for shock value.

According to a television insider, Mrs McCann, 40, is understood to say: "We wanted to use a baby-listening service but there wasn't one at the Ocean Club."

The source close to the documentary makers added: "She is very emotional. She breaks down on camera at different points during the filming. "It clearly shows her as a caring mother who misses her daughter very much. This is a woman grieving and is clearly more emotional than she has ever been."

Today, the couple's spokesman Clarence Mitchell denied Mrs McCann had criticised the holiday company.
He said: "I wish to make it clear that Kate McCann does not attack Mark Warner for the absence of a baby listening service at the Ocean Club in the forthcoming ITV documentary.

"For the record, she makes a brief factual reference to the absence of such a service in passing.

"In no way does she criticise Mark Warner or any of the company's services."

Mark Warner didn't offer the baby listening service at Praia da Luz because the complex is spread out. Since Madeleines disappearance they have now withdrawn the service at all of their other resorts.

As you can understand, I can't do any comment about the investigation on the "McCann Case"... (I have omitted the next part, in the interests of privacy but this did not in any way compromise the judicial secrecy laws)

Looking towards my freedom of speech, I asked for my retirement last month. All the insults, false accusations and lie's from the past year are now being brought to court from my lawyers (the very last one is from Daily Mail, yesterday).

I would like to say thank you to the thousands of persons that every day, for the last year, are supporting me all over the world. I would like to answer all the phone calls, emails and letters, but is not possible...there are so many! As you can imagine, most of the days are not that easy, and these messages have been a great support not only for me, but also for my family. Once again, thank you all!

You're allowed do display this message on you site, and I thank you for that. One last thing:

This does not make the McCanns less culpable in my opinion. The fact that they wanted to use one just reinforces the point that they KNEW it was not safe to leave the children alone. And yes, trying to BLAME Mark Warner would show just how much they refuse to accept the consequences of THEIR actions.

Very interesting. I don't believe it. It sounds to English. There was nothing to explain where, when or how it came about.

Thinking back over the course of this investigation and the stories and shots of Amaral - it just doesn't appear to me that he would talk/write like this, I can't imagine him say "justice for a little girl who has no voice." It just does not ring true.

As much as I would like for this to be true, I'm thinking it is not. But as always, very interesting thread at the 3A. I could spend way too much time there

That woman has HUGE nerve, incredible.

I see it as an attempt to turn our heads once again. The McCanns would prefer we see them as negligent parents rather than responsible for Maddie's demise.

I believe the report from the past that the management of MW "suggested" they consider hiring a sitter or using the creche rather than leaving the children alone. The McCanns refused.

A couple of things to consider with regard to this post. It was not first posted on 3A's, it was posted on the McCann Files site (http://www.mccannfiles.com/id79.html). The poster, redsquare, has a very good reputation.

I can assure everybody that this message is 100% genuine. I went through the official police channels and Mr Amaral replied via his personal email address (which I am not going to divulge!). I sent him my support and mentioned the site so that he could see I was genuine in pursuit of truth and justice for Madeleine.

Although he mentions in this email that I can use his comments on the site, I actually only posted the 'thank you' part of the email last night. I wanted to go back to him to ensure he was 100% sure that I could use ALL of the email on the site. He replied today in the affirmative.

I must admit I have wrestled with myself overnight and this morning, but when Mr Amaral replied, once again confirming that I could use all the message, I decided to publish it on the site.

The email is presented as I received it, written in English.

Regarding the "english feel" of the message, another poster wrote:

Don't agree Cabo - the style of the email has an entirely authentic ring. Obviously written by an educated foreigner with a very good grasp of English, but with subtle errors revealing not a native English speaker. I've copied a few above to demonstrate this.

If it is genuine (I always suggest caution) it is a huge bombshell.

Only time will tell.

Maybe Madeleine is going to have justice at last, how I pray that she is.

Amaral has a lot of friends in the Portuguese police, who are unhappy with the way he has been treated by his own bosses and the British press

they may be encouraging him to make his voice heard now he has retired

and he has not actually named names, so this is not a libellous message from him

It may be your opinion Colomom...It's not mine however.
IMO she is telling the truth of what happened. She has never tried to hide the fact that they arranged to do their own baby listening as it wasn't on offer this particular holiday resort. Yes, there were other options and they made what has turned out to be a tragic error in judgement. IMO
Baby listening services are widely used in Europe, particularly in holiday areas. Some of them had possibly used this particular service elsewhere. Other Mark Warner complex's also offered the service at that time.
Since Madeleine dissapeared Mark Warner has withdrawn the baby listening service from all their other resorts....Why?....because of Madeleine...Not because it's illegal!!
It may be illegal in the US, and though neither you nor I would ever consider baby listening as an option....Europe is not the US and it's still not illegal there. Many, many families must be useing it too as there are still plenty of adverts offering it. :waitasec:

Though not on offer at this particular Mark Warner resort the baby listening service is offered and widely used in Europe, and until recently was on offer at all the other Mark Warner resorts. It is not illegal in Europe.

Interesting link if you scroll down and see highlighted how many times baby listening is offered in these holiday adverts. Admittedly these are in Cornwall, a place I know. But Mark Warner did until recently offer the baby listening service at their other resorts in Europe, no doubt there are still plenty of others still offering it.

Salem I don't like this practice any more than you do but it's a fact that it is widely used in holiday areas in Europe....I wish it wasn't...But I believe it's why the McCanns made the tragic error they did. And nobody knows that better than they do.

Barnaby I don't believe the Tapas nine have yet been able to discuss their police statements. There have been to many rumours/smears regarding the "varying stories" to possibly know the truth. IMO
So the sooner the "secrecy" is removed the better
I for one can't wait for them to be able to discuss their own statements. I doubt the PJ feel the same though.
