With regards to the dogs, it was said by a neighbour of his that he let both dogs starve in the kiosk when he left with a girlfriend for a 6 week-trip to Portugal.

According to SleuthD's timeline.......

l2014 december. CB age 37-38. CB gave up the Braunschweig kiosk.

Then the VW is returned to BP.

60 Minutes 2020 Ep 21 Foreign interference, Madeleine, Dusty's war, Watch TV Online
P 2015. CB sells VW camper van. sold the VW van in 2015 for 5,600 euros {covered in rust, sounds like a lot} to a German countryman who runs an unofficial scrap yard in the Silves area of the Algarve. bernhard p - S Bartolomeu de Messines.

I'm heading out a Holiday - for 2 weeks!! :) So I might not be here when the prosecutor charges CB with the sexual assault cases.
So I hope no one minds that I post this. Also, I can shorten it up a bit also! All my notes from way back when...

Sometime in February.
*Will be charged sometime in Feb. – (@ am CET) .

Do you really see this coming?!! Both for HB in Feb and MM in April?
Have a nice holiday and many thanks for putting these together!

Hans Christian Wolters, claimed at the time the Met Police asked them to investigate Christian B as a potential suspect.
Speaking in the programme, he claimed: “Because this was about a German, the British police asked the German police to look into this person in administrative cooperation without a concrete investigation, just to check out what kind of person he is, does he even exist, what are the personal circumstances – just to look at it broadly.”

Hmm, and they were happy with what kind of person he appeared to be until then? Because looking at his life it is full of trouble with the law, convictions... and tbh it didn't appear when he was sent the summons that it was just to explore what kind of person he was. He was asked specific questions about MM and his whereabouts over the month of May. A bit more than an exploration of his character and indeed a missed opportunity one more time imo

Since it appears both the jag and thr westfalia were seized by Police: if they had them checked with forensics dogs, would the dogs be able to trace any smell of blood or cadaver after so many years have passed?

According to this article the Bedford van was impounded in November 2007 (I think this is the episode that Amaral refers to when he says that checks were made on CB but he wasn't home)

"But Brueckner never paid the fine and when police tried to enforce payment in November 2007 he had disappeared from the address in Barrocal that he had given the court.

It is at that point that the Bedford van is believed to have been impounded by the police in lieu of the unpaid fine.
"

Portuguese police unwittingly destroyed Christian Brueckner's van before it could be searched | Daily Mail Online

While discussing CB vehicles..attached article mentions two more…

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/madeleine-mccann-mystery-over-suspects-22238240

“…it was reported he was also the registered owner of a white Mercedes-Benz 205D van and a grey Opel Ascona when Madeleine went missing “

There doesn’t seem to have been much reporting of these two other vehicles .

Article also says , relating to “ one “ of his many vehicles…( the Jag I think ) …

“He was allowed to keep the German-plated vehicle after being stopped for using a disabled parking bay - but told he could not use it because he had failed to put it on Portuguese plates despite living on the Algarve.”

This was posted almost a year ago by @Tekno - I've kept it bookmarked for reference as it provides a very detailed account of all the key information as of Feb 2021:
Madeleine McCann: German prisoner identified as suspect - #23

ETA: Having just re-read it, I remember it's a translation of a 2020 article in Der Spiegel, so probably more useful for newcomers to the case.

I've screen shot the @Tekno and will read it tomorrow. When MM went missing I read all I could in UK papers and that wasn't so much. I'm following intently because there is so much more about the case that I never would have read about.
One thing I must do is try to make a list of all the initials! Most of them I have no real idea who they are.
Is there a Timeline with this case or a lust of initials please?

Have a lovely holiday, you deserve it with all the cases you follow and record dates and info, a great help.
Will you be off skying somewhere? Stay safe.

Thanks - but don't know "what" skying is? Is that British? :)

Or in relation to Madeleine's disappearance he just didn't have anything to do with it.

An alert would mean what though, not much is placed on the dogs in 5a.

There is a list with initials.

Question is: may it be posted over here or should it remain behind the scenes?

A bit more info on the complaint against JR:

"Now his lawyer Jürgen Fülscher (sic?) writes about the Sat1 documentary: "This documentary was poorly researched and only served to promote a campaign of prejudgment." He has filed a criminal complaint against the TV journalist Jutta Rabe on behalf of CB, who is currently serving a prison sentence in Germany for raping a 72-year-old woman, which we have."

"His lawyer Friedrich Fülscher has now filed a criminal complaint on behalf of Christian B. "on suspicion of defamation" against the TV journalist Rabe, whose documentary was broadcast on Sat1 a week ago. His accusation: the public prosecutor Christian Wolters explained his "strategy" against CB to the reporter. Rabe claimed this in a talk show after the film. Not even he, as a defense attorney, has had access to the files. The prosecutor contradicts in an e-mail to the defense attorney, which we have: "I have neither disclosed a strategy to her nor spoken specifically about the evidence."

"Journalist Rabe also gave the impression that there were fingerprints and DNA traces in two other proceedings against the Würzburger (for raping an Irish woman and abusing a child). The prosecutor writes that this is wrong."

"So far, no complaint nor any accusations against Spiegel TV's Gudrun Altrogge, who is responsible for the other documentary about the suspect that was broadcast on Vox for Spiegel TV, has yet been received from the lawyer."

Leave it behind the scenes and I'll eventually figure them out. That's the best idea. Thanks.
